We had a king room which was great for two people! This is an older motel that's being renovated. Nothing at all fancy here, but for the price it's very good. Everything inside was very clean (critical for me!) and new or refurbished. If you want anything other than a clean bathroom and a place to sleep - you may be disappointed. Roswell Inn is an old, absolutely no-frills motel that is likely fine for a night if you are someone who doesn't really care where you sleep. I stayed here with some friends for two nights. They got full size beds and I got a King bed as there were no more full size beds available. My room was on the bigger side but it was still very uncomfortable with flies in the room and a sewage-like smell coming from the bathtub drain. The one plus is that the place is pet-friendly but I would not want any of my pets on the bed or the floor of this place. It's not filthy by any means but you can tell by looking at the room that it does not get deep cleaned and the cleaning that does get done is minimal. The staff there are nice and accommodating but the Roswell Inn is just basically a very old motel that was quickly and poorly renovated with occasional alien decor. No one in my group of friends, including me, had a good night's sleep during the two night we stayed there either from noise from the Urgent Care nearby or the flies in the room. I felt itchy while I was in the bed. It could have been from the sheets-I'm not sure. You just don't feel like you are sleeping in a clean bed. I really wish we stayed in a chain motel vs. staying at the Roswell Inn as it really was so difficult to get comfortable and relax there. If you are in a pinch and on a budget, this place may work for you. I would not recommend it if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. read more

Do not let the pictures fool you, this place needs a lot of work to be worth the prices they're charging. Upon arrival, management completely went back on the price we were quoted due to a scheduling mishap. Dishonesty is not a good first impression, but we finished checking in regardless and went to the room. That should have been enough of a red flag, but we were exhausted from being on the road for over 7 hours. The room was an absolute toilet. It was full of flies, and the entire room felt damp, including the bed and pillows. Speaking of toilets, this one was so weak it couldn't even flush toilet paper! Management came to the room and attempted to fix the problem on their own, but this entire hotel needs professional repairs to even start being MAYBE adequate. The bathroom sink only had one temperature, which was boiling hot. We tried to fix the temperature issue, but the valves and piping underneath the sink were so rusted and corroded that it wasn't possible. After management couldn't simply fix the issues, they moved us to a different room. It was only slightly better. We chose this location because it looked like a lot of fun, but the pictures were completely misleading. It might've looked like that once upon a time, but not now. If you need to stay in Roswell, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is a complete dump and in a very sketchy area. read more

Staff was friendly at the front desk, good reviews are very old and no longer apply. The place was mostly quiet and you could keep your car close. The room itself was pretty dirty with broken tv remotes, dust and hair all over the room, and a run down shower. Definitely killed the experience. Looks like this business paid for reviews. ROACHES To start off we checked in and it was easy, parking was easy as well. The location is also very convenient close to everything, and on first glance the room was nice and clean also cozy, however we ran into the issue of finding a big roach in our bathroom. After we brought it up to management and tried to seek a refund they would only offer 20% back which we feel was undervaluing the situation. Overall we will not be back and if you are to stay here make sure to double check your belongings for any stowaways. Edit: I originally said they were only gonna give us 15% back that was a miscommunication on my end however they responded to that very unprofessionally and y'all can see that. Bed bugs! Was warned by another guest that their room was infested. Upon checking ours had them. Then while letting the front desk know, the new person working at the counter argued with me and insisted I go show her. So I did and she argued over and over that it was "fuzz". Coming from the industry I know what bed bugs are and that place is infested! Now I have to go through booking to get a refund but absolutely do not stay here. I was in room 53, which was right next to an alley that apparently also services as a road. It was constantly busy. And I was awoken to a helicopter landing literally right outside my door. While staying in Roswell, my husband, our little girl dog and I decided to stay at Roswell Inn (which used to be a Budget Inn) that is located next door to Los Cerritos (which has some really good food by the way) and two doors down from a Best Western. We checked in on a Thursday evening and were greeted by an employee behind the plexiglass. He gave us our keys and told us what was the best way to drive over to our room. Shortly after when we checked in, the room smelled like cigarette smoke that was lingering from a previous stay. I definitely did not like that smell and so I called the front desk and another employee had answered the phone and told me she can move me to another room and that I could come back to the front office to get my new keys. So, when I came back in, I had no problem with the new room and key exchange. So, with our new room (which smelled much better) that was nice and clean, we enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. We were in a king size bedroom that had a mini fridge and microwave. I like that with each room here, there is a parking spot right out front, which makes it easy to load and unload luggage. The WiFi was fast for the most part (could possibly be due to not too many people staying at the hotel during our stay). This hotel has one washer and one dryer on site in case you wish to do your laundry, like we did. It cost $2 per washer and per dryer. There is a coin change machine and also a vending machine that sells laundry detergent and dryer sheets in case you don't have any on hand (I typically travel with powdered detergent since my husband and I like to wash our laundry when we travel and pack less clothes). Our stay overall was good and would stay here again if I was staying in Roswell. read more

I'd stay again. This is close to the downtown area, right off the main drag. The check-in process was easy. The rooms are all on the ground floor with a parking spot in front of the door which is pretty nice. Note: they are parallel parking spots. The rooms are updated. It did have a smell but nothing too strong and less noticeable after you have been inside for a few minute. The shower didn't get super hot, just warm on the day we stayed. It's a "very well kept," not so fancy hotel. But again we stay here anytime we travel West. I left a cheap pair if reading glasses & they actually had them when I called the next day. Not only was this the cheapest place in the area (even with pets), but it truly was nice inside! We booked one king-size last week for $56 a room, plus $10 per pet. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk was super friendly giving us a warm welcome. Check-in was smooth and took less than 5 minutes. One of my favorite features of a motel is being able to park our vehicle right next to our room. It makes loading/unloading extremely easy and puts me in peace of mind for the security of my vehicle. The area is safe in general, she said it's very rare that any crime occurs around here. There was a grassy area right across our room by the Mexican restaurant for the dogs to do their business. The bed was very comfortable and the TV worked fine with no issues. The little aliens and greenlights add to the fun Roswell theme too. Super clean and centrally located, we booked a two night stay on our way to the solar eclipse. It was the perfect place to rest and regroup while taking in the sights of Roswell. It is pet-friendly and has laundry facilities. Their continental breakfast was generous with fresh fruit, yogurt, donuts, juices, coffee, and tea. Staff were very attentive and even provided a confirmation phone call to inquire about our arrival time, which was very late at nearly midnight. We would totally stay here again. read more
