Last minute stop in Sioux Falls, SD. With work and cross country travel, Zac at the Best Western was so great in assisting me with getting a room for the night. We had some issues with my rewards number and computer system but he went above and beyond to help and accommodated me with the best room! I was even presented with a welcome bag that had a few goodies in it. There rooms are clean and well put together and having a mini kitchen is the added bonus... wow what a life saver!! We had never stayed at a Best Western before but on a recent long road trip we stayed at a different Best Western each night & I'm happy to report they were all quite nice and fairly consistent in the quality to expect. This location has a free continental breakfast which has a good variety of both hot & cold breakfast items, ranging from very healthy to less-so, so there is something for everyone. The breakfast items we had were quite good, too. The rooms were decorated nicely and the bed was pretty comfy. Everything was very clean. We didn't have any issues with sound from other rooms, either. We had made a reservation ahead of time and used their express check-in option they email you before hand, so checking in was pretty quick (though there wasn't a line so it probably wouldn't have taken much longer anyway). Check out the next morning was just as quick. The only downside was this location is set back from the main road, behind another hotel and a gas station, so it isn't easy to see right away, especially if you are arriving after dark like we were. Their address is off the side road, but even coming from that direction we kept missing it in the dark at first, so use Google Maps to help you find it with less frustration. I think they could add some additional or larger signage in a couple area to help folks find it. Oh, and they are a pet-friendly location, for an additional fee, of course. If you bring your pet along they have a board in the lobby where they post pics of the pets with their name & the state they are visiting from, which was pretty cute. read more

We're so happy to have found this hotel. Not only is it a nice one, it is pet friendly!!!! The woman at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us a discount! She also gave us a bag of treats for our pup. It also had a few bags in it for pet clean up. We only stayed one night, but we will be back again. As a matter of fact, my husband booked another night when he was checking in (for our return trip through town). Staff is very kind and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. If someone had a pet in the room before us you wouldn't know. No "dog smells". We had a double queen room. It had a small refrigerator, a microwave, & coffee maker. Beds were comfy and I loved the pillows! The shower - great water pressure- I didn't want to get out! Lol Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices- cereal, bagels, egg omelette, sausage gray and biscuits, and lots of drink choices. Well stocked & clean. read more

Maybe it was just an off day for them, but when I showed up after 9 hrs on the road, all I wanted was to check in to my room so me and the family could relax. Imagine my surprise to find a group of people in the lobby waiting to check in or get new keys, etc. One man searched the entire hotel and found that there were absolutely no staff present. This BW made my stay in Sioux Falls easy as can be! I used the airport shuttle which was super accommodating and a breeze with the friendly drivers. My room was always clean and there were no problems. Breakfast was better than I thought for a Best Western. They had a mix of hot and cold foods, as well as a combination of coffees and juices. The ONLY problem I had with the hotel was that when I requested for late checkout at 12pm, 3 staff members constantly knocked on my door and called my room that last hour before I checked out. Maybe there was a lack of communication on their part but overall, the hotel was great. read more

Went to shower at the end of day 1 and found long hairs everywhere. I rinsed it down super good and left a note for housekeeping the morning of day 2. I got back in the afternoon of day 2 to discover my room hadn't been cleaned!! I told the front desk and they said they would send someone down. NOPE!!! After 3 days of NO HOUSEKEEPING, I left. The actual stay at the hotel was fine. There is a very serious problem with this location's billing process. I reserved 3 rooms for multi-night stays. I was billed for 4 rooms upon checkout and was told problem would be resolved. Three weeks later, I was billed for all 4 rooms again. The amount of the overcharge is well into the 4 digits. I have called the hotel 70+ times -- absolutely no response. I filed a complaint with BW corporate -- no response. This has been going on for 2 months. Outright fraud. read more

While the hotel is a budget hotel, it is very comfortable and clean. The front staff are very helpful and the breakfast is good. We had a room at the end of the hallway and it had extra space with a small dining room table. We did not try the pool but it looked clean. The hotel is within walking distance to the empire mall or a short 5 min drive to restaurants. I would recommend it as a nice budget hotel. read more

This is the way it should be when BWP takes over a hotel. Super clean, comfortable room, smelled clean and fresh, no lingering mildew....great indoor pool, friendly, communicative staff. The bed was perfect, great pillows, nice, clean, large bright bathroom and great shower. The pool area was clean, pool sparkly clear and the perfect temperature, with plenty of chair/table areas properly distanced so that multiple parties could hang out while still maintaining distance and privacy during COVID. Also, I was really impressed with the Wifi - strong signal throughout, no issues streaming online live radio all morning. Excellent. Quiet, cool in 100 degree heat, basically the perfect hotel. Well done, BWP, this is the way to manage your hotel acquisitions. Please use this as a model. I will FOR SURE stay here again when I drive back across South Dakota. read more

My family checked in at 11:30pm and had a good rest after a long day on the road. We did not use the pool, open 8am to 10pm, but it looked nice. The breakfast room had a waffle maker, 3 trays of hot food, and a good selection of breakfast items. read more

I stayed in this hotel on August 14, 2021 and was billed a second time for my room on August 30. I have called the hotel multiple times as well as the main Best Western customer service number. It is now the second week in October. The fact that neither the hotel nor corporate customer service has done anything to resolve this issue is simply unacceptable. read more

First of all if you do not have a GPS you will not be able to find this place. It is hidden away from the main road behind many buildings. Almost looks like an alley leading to this non descript building. I guess the reason the owner never bothered to decorate the outside of the hotel is that there is no one who can look at it while traveling on the street/road. It is so hidden behind everything. The inside isn't that bad, just the usual hotel. Nothing special to rave about. We were give a room right next to the stairway and it was a mess all night long. People moving up and down the stairs did not let us sleep. The bathroom was pretty run down for the money we spent. The noise from the road was also a nuisance during day and night. All in all I would not visit again if I had a choice. read more

If you stayed at this hotel on July 23rd, 2021 - check your credit card bill for August 30.... everyone that stayed on July 23rd was double billed. And it wasn't even worth the money I paid for the room... but to pay double~! And they can't figure out how to refund it. The consumer relations team knows that this has happen, but I still don't have my money back.... And the utility room between the two rooms we had, had a metal banging noise the entire night. We asked about it, and they said it was a laundry shoot... I don't think so. Oh and I could go on ... homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. read more

Great location amongst mall and hordes of restaurants and shops. Very clean throughout, well appointed room, typical BW full service breakfast. However - if you manage a hotel and advertise that you have "wi-fi," then you had better have wi-fi and not a list of excuses as to why it was not functioning in my area at that time. Third floor central room and neither laptop nor phone would connect. "Service too weak to establish connection," they reported. Front desk reset system, which allowed me to log on. Three minutes later most pages timed out / would not load due to "poor connection." Morning clerk admitted system likely outdated. If I can't get anything done because 100% of funds go into the look of the facility (BTW - Best Western photos do not reflect most recent update) while management ignores that element so important to many travelers, then facility gets a poor rating and I don't return. So great job...sort of! read more

My wife and I stayed on a business trip. We found the hotel to be very accommodating with a friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and firm. They have both soft and firm pillows. If I come back to the Sioux Falls area I would stay here again. I did not use the pool, but it did look nice and clean as well. read more

I had booked my room 2 weeks in advance and prepaid through hotels.com. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 pm ready to lay down after a long drive and the front desk worker told me that the card that hotels.com sent them was declining and there was nothing they could do and I would have to contact them. I showed her my receipt saying I had already paid and my confirmation number and all she said was "sorry, unless you pay there's nothing I can do." At this point I was just over it and had a cranky 2 year old waiting to go lay down and go to bed. I paid again and figured I'd get the double charge figured out after the weekend was over. I left Sunday morning to head back home and got all the way home only to realize I had left my $140 shoes in the hotel room, so I immediately called them to ask if they could send them to me. They claimed that I didn't leave them there and I must have them (which I didn't because I hadn't touched them since taking them off the night we checked into our room and they had gotten tucked under the bed). I told them that they had gotten tucked under the bed, and she continued to say they weren't there. I'm very upset with absolutely every encounter I had with the staff, and will absolutely never stay here again. read more

If I could rate less than one star I would do so. I had reserved a four night stay, and ended up leaving before staying the night. I will say the room was clean and comfortable. Having said that, the staff including the manager Felicia were rude and belligerent. Hotel staff were blocking access the two disabled parking places, which is against federal law. I am disabled and brought this to the attention of the staff that someone parked there. I was told by the person I was talking to that they had parked there. There was no apology and the employees manner was gruff, and he would not give his name, and wore no name tag. Another employee on site wore no name tag, and said he wouldn't get involved. There was no manager on site, but I was able to get her number and call. She would not allow me to share my concern, and began arguing with me, saying that she allows her employees to park there. She never apologized or allowed me to explain my issue, and was rude and put off that I had called. I would sleep in my car before dealing with them again read more

The bed was really comfy. The wifi requires a password and I had to log into it every time on the iPad. The curtains were stained. The A/C worked well. The employees were helpful and helped me find a coffee shop near by and had maps of the area at the front desk. Breakfast was okay. read more

A good night. We often stay at BW because of consistent quality. This one was no exception. We had a king bed room with a mini kitchen. The was an apartment refrigerator large enough to hold plenty of food items. The bed was perfect and there was plethora of plug ins for electronic device recharge. The continental breakfast was better than most. Wifi connectivity worked just fine. The only problem was minor and that was we had to insert our room card multiple times before the door lock would activate. Close to I-29 and lots of restaurants. All in all a great stay. read more

Would give this hole no stars if I could. My husband stayed during a bowling tourney. He was in a room over the laundry. It was loud and pipes rattled all night long. A/C and heating unit was on its last leg and was incredibly noisy. When he checked out the next day the front desk attendant said he couldn't do anything he is just an employee. Seriously?! With such a cavalier attitude in a service based industry we have taken our business to people who actually care. read more
