When traveling the 40, we often stop for the night in Moriarity and on this particular roadtrip, we stopped at this hotel on our way out and again our way back. Sydney at the front desk recognized me when I came back and she was able to get us a room that minimized the amount of walking to/from as one family member is currently have mobility issues. The rooms are clean, the hotel is quiet, the parking lot is safe, and the breakfast is good. They offer both corn or flower tortillas with breakfast. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice to wind down after a long day driving. It is a small town and there aren't a lot of places to eat, but we've all been happy with both Nachos and La Hacienda which are both located near the hotel. The hotel also has some frozen meals available that are very inexpensive if you just want to microwave something quick to eat before heading to sleep. We have stayed here many times over the years and have never had any problems. I think this is the second time I've reviewed them, but we've been stopping here every year or two for what I think is about twenty years now. read more

Towels and washcloths were rough and felt cheap. Also, bring your own body wash and shampoo -- the ones provided didn't lather or rinse well, according to several in our group. Housekeeping/Condition: There was a damp, musty odor in the room -- likely due to the age of the building. The overall cleanliness was acceptable, but the smell lingered. Food Options Nearby: Not much to choose from in the immediate area, so plan to eat before you arrive or drive a bit to find something decent. Final Thoughts: If you're just looking for a place to crash for the night, this hotel may work. But go in with realistic expectations -- this is more of a 3-3.5 at most star experience, not a luxury stay. I arrived here a lil before 10pm after a long day of driving. I had no reservation, but the clerk got me checked in right away. By time I was ready to go up to room, the clerk informed me that all nearby restaurants closed at 10pm. She was kind enough to offer me a slice of pizza from a meal she had just ordered for herself, when I mentioned that I had not had dinner yet. Very sweet of her. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Such a wonderful Safe spacious place to stay. We got a room to fit 6 people. Two queens and a pull out couch. Specifically a large room for the amount of people we had. Checking in was an extremely long process. The woman at the desk this Sunday night kept speaking with someone else at the desk. I was told multiple times "I DON'T CARE BUT MY MANAGER IS GONNA CARE." For the amount of people in the room. We had enough beds for the amount of people in our room. It didn't make any sense. Was a very weird experience checking in. This hotel has a nice pool and a great hot tub. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and the guy doing the breakfast was amazing. So kind and welcoming. He talked to everyone and was extremely personable. We did not have that experience with the front desk. It was like the front desk needed to be working. Very nice and appears brand new! Everything was spotlessly clean throughout the building. There's an indoor pool and hot tub which we didn't use, but that area looked very clean too. The gal at the desk was very friendly and recommended a great local restaurant to us. We received a call in our room from her shortly after getting in checking that all was well with our room. Even had fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies! Yum! There's a beautifully decorated lobby area and then a whole other room for breakfast which I'm sure will be great as well. BE WARE!! In town for work and this poor excuse for a hotel was my only choice given the ballon madness going on. First the Indian lady at desk was very rude and fought with me about my reservation. Because I booked thru 3rd party, she seemed upset. So the room is big, hotel is semi updated but the main issue, NO HOT WATER! Seriously??! I let the water run for 20 mins and finally got some Luke warm. Pathetic!!! The rates aren't cheap and given the amount the very least I could ask for is hot shower. Then I get my bill and they increased the weekend rate from $194 to $354 with no notice of the increase. Pretty shady business practices. Drive abit further and stay in ABQ. The customer service was good we stayed the night here on our way to Oklahoma. I was however a little disappointed on the cleanliness part there were pet hairs all over the place in the room we stayed. My son was walking around in his socks and when I took socks off they full of hairs. I was little grossed out. I don't like complaining but I wasn't very happy with that part. Extremely, pleasantly surprised with this place. Fully recommend. Pet friendly, only $25 a night. Great location in Moriarty, right off the highway & Route 66. Tiny little gym with just enough stuff to get a solid workout in. Housekeeping was ALWAYS around and always cleaning. Picking up litter in the parking lot, sweeping, polishing. The best way I can express my experience at this best Western and sorority. It's a cute little town. Well I don't know about it's tiny. It's a tiny town not much to really choose from but of course I was going to go for the best and that was the best western. I heard that it was had been newly remodeled or newly built, but that was a couple years ago when I had went so I don't think it was that, but the rooms were great. I had been traveling and just wanted to relax. They have a gym. They have a hot tub a pool breakfast pretty much if you didn't want to go out of your room you could have everything there you needed so I definitely would recommend this place And they knew my name when I came down they didn't look up. They knew who I was and told me about their rewards program and asked a little bit more questions. Just so I could see if I could benefit from anything else that they had to offer and these times to budget I would definitely recommend this place to spend the night or two and you'll feel comfortable and get some rest read more

We arrived in town quite late. They got us a room and a discount! Which was great as had driven ten hours and were ready to crash. The staff was lovely, the space clean and easy to access. I am so excited to finally review this Best Western in Moriarty. I should have done it last year when we stayed, but definitely will not miss the opportunity again. Simply put if you are traveling through this is a must stay (if they have rooms available). I highly suggest booking ahead of time. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years. We chose them last year because they have rooms for fur babies too! (additional fee). This last stay our travels were to and from Oklahoma to Las Vegas. Both times were excellent. The staff is so welcoming & friendly! They explain everything, as well as let you know what they offer. They have coffee/ tea bar, lemon iced water and cookies as a treat when you check in (unless they run out). They also offer an amazing complimentary breakfast buffet that does not disappoint! There are choices for everyone, from kids, to adults to healthy options too. The rooms are so updated & clean! What in route to Texas on wrote 66 we stayed here at the Best Western. I was very surprised to see how my is these rooms are as I am more of a Hilton kind of guy. The Room was extremely reasonable for 2 queens indoor pool and a hot breakfast. We enjoyed the pool the night manager was very helpful and it formative the night auditor was very friendly and informative. Beds were comfortable Room was clean and I slept like a beat tired dog. What a great accommodating hotel on the outskirts of Albuquerque, NM in Moriarty which is conveniently located near the I-40 freeway. This location was about 40 minutes from the Sandia Peak Tramway (highly recommend while in ABQ) which is where I drove from when checking in. I chose this hotel as some of the hotels in the city limits of ABQ were questionable and this was a great decision and I'd gladly stay here again. This hotel is very sanitary and clean and even offers "fresh remotes". We were privileged to enjoy their clean indoor pool and jacuzzi late at night and early in the morning before check out. Breakfast here was pretty good as they offered sausage, hash browns, eggs, waffles, cereals and many other items that were fresh and quite tasteful. Everyone here was very nice and accommodating and the staff was very pleasant. On a side note, I suggest you book ahead of time. When I arrived at the hotel to check in, they turned away other guests who did not book in advance as the hotel had sold out. Since I booked with my BW rewards, I was kindly greeted and my check in paperwork and keys were ready to go. Very swift and efficient! What makes this hotel special is not so much the comfortable bed, pillows, soft linens, charming lobby with towering fireplace, not even the freshly baked cookies at 5pm, fruited water and fresh fruit for the taking, coffee or the delicious breakfast that starts at 5:30am for we early risers...what makes this hotel so special is its staff, starting with their warm greeting when we walked through the door and their friendly, can-do attitudes. Harley and Travis made us feel so welcomed and we were so glad that we decided to stay in this sleepy little town just East of all the traffic in Albuquerque. The room was, candidly, a little dated, but the bed and linens were clearly new and had an upscale feel to them. It was quiet and we slept so well. Our K9 family member stayed with us. This hotel by far exceeded our expectations! We will always stop by here if ever in the area. I would choose this over any Hilton, Marriot or HEI. The breakfast was recently changed over and is by far much better, including organic soy milk, an oatmeal almond flaxseed waffle alternate that was Awesome!!! An unscheduled wakeup call at 2:30 am in the morning. This call was from the front desk to verify who we were and why we were in this room? She needed to confirm our information? My wife gave the night manager our name confirmation number and asked her who she was. She said we were not in her system and she needed the room for a 2 am guest. We told her we would see a manager in the morning. She hung up on my wife and we both stared at the ceiling and couldn't believe what had just happened. The next morning we went to the front desk and she admitted that it was her that called and woke us up. We told her we were going to report this to Best Western corporate and she said go ahead and didn't care. We told her that we were treated totally unprofessional, and she didn't seem to care. We checked out that same morning with a written receipt which had all the correct information on it, which verified our stay. That Best Western Plus will never see us again. Training problem or not.
