After driving through the nightmare of Albuquerque , New Mexico at night I made it to Edgewood. This is the only hotel in town , but it looked better and had better reviews than the next town , Moriarty. I booked using Priceline to save a couple bucks and it was still $152 with taxes and fees. Some of the reviews of the Moriarty places stated about their cars being broken into , so I paid the extra to stay here because my SUV was loaded with my stuff and I had a hitch box on my rear bumper because I was moving from Las Vegas to Oklahoma. The employee that checked me in was very nice and he told me to park by the charging area under the solar panels with the RVs to be the safest area and well lit. There was one RV parked there , but in the morning there was 2 more , one with a boat. I had free breakfast in the morning with a few others and they had an older lady attendant that was making sure everything was stocked up and clean. Nice lady. It was funny the guys behind me mentioned how the eggs tasted like from the Army and me being a Veteran told them I agreed , they tasted like the reconstituted ones we had during maneuvers. The sausage patty was pretty plain so I put some pancake syrup on it , orange juice was watered down , biscuit was pretty good but gravy had some sausage bits but not very flavorful so lots of pepper I had to put on it. They had cereal and yogurt too and a waffle maker. There is also a coffee machine in the lobby 24 hours a day and also have hot tea. There was 2 or 3 computers for guests to use. I used that night for about 15 minutes for something I really couldn't do on my phone which was convenient. The parking lot was clean and well lit and appeared to be in a safe area. I went to the Subway just next door for a sandwich that night and they give you a discount for staying at the hotel , but it was the worst stale Subway sandwich I've ever had ! Now the room , first thing when I walked in the floor was sticky. It looked clean , but they must have mopped over a spilled soda or something. Other than that the beds were clean and made nice and the room looked like a Comfort Inn room with 2 queen beds , mini refrigerator , microwave , coffee pot with coffee and accessories. I got a regular room not a Suite so no couch or living room , but there was a chair. The next morning I took a shower and on the wall in 2 different places was a long black hair , way longer than mine and mine are unfortunately gray , but at 58 I still got more hair than guys I work with that are in there 30's ha ha. The rest of the bathroom was clean and came with some amenities. On the wall of the shower they have mounted body wash , shampoo , and conditioner that were a mint smell. Not bad , but not what I would pick , but hey I'm just traveling. I was on the 2nd floor and the elevator worked , but was a little shaky. All in all it's a pretty decent hotel , but I don't think it's worth $150.00 to stay here. I would say it should be around half the price , $75.00 a night. As I said the only reason I paid this was because I didn't feel safe staying in Moriarty with my vehicle loaded. They also have an indoor pool which I didn't use. Stay somewhere else. Tl;dr fraudulent credit card charges; yelling clerks. Read on for full details. I prepaid my stay which included all fees and taxes. There was a problem at check-in, I showed them my receipt, which included :$124.56 for the room and 13.62 for taxes and fees. The clerk said that taxes weren't paid and listed a different amount, 11.59, owed in taxes. The clerk couldn't check me in because the system wouldn't let her because the system said the taxes weren't paid, even though I pre-paid. This ordeal took a long time and I had to go out to my car and get my phone to show her my receipt and that I paid everything. I wanted to check-in and get food as everything around here closes at 8 pm. The clerk called her manger. It was clearly a glitch in the system. I waited. The manager took care of it and I was eventually checked-in. When I went to check out early in the morning to get on the road, I had to shout to find someone to help as there was no bell or buzzer to ring and no one around. A young couple with a baby had been waiting to check out too. They said no one was there. Eventually a woman showed up, checked me out. Fine. Said nothing about the earlier glitch with the taxes. Went to my car and got an alert from my credit card. They had fraudulently charged me the 11.59 in taxes I did not owe. I needed to get on the road, but went back inside to resolve this right away. There was a man at the counter this time. i explained the situation, that this was a glitch in the system and they needed to fix it. He said it wasn't a glitch and I owed the taxes and that's why I was charged and he could not reverse the erroneous charge, etc. He was argumentative and unhelpful. I made it clear that i was very busy and this was turning into a huge hassle for me and that if I left the premises without this issue being resolved, despite having stayed here many times over the past two years, I'd never stay here again. The clerk then yelled at me!!! "I don't care if you never stay here again." I now have to call my credit card compan--this is a travel card--and have them reverse this fraudulent charge. And deal with all of this hassle over a period of several days. Don't stay here unless you want to be fraudulently charged and yelled at. read more

Everything was amazing . The staff members were so friendly and kind with everyone. Breakfast was closed and someone asked for some more yogurt and let them get some! How nice is that? The best sleep I had in a little bit. They make the best eggs and gravy. Mix them together and BOOM! So good. Would recommend if driving on a road trip. STOP HERE!!! read more

There are not a lot of hotel options in Edgewood so glad this place is here. Check in is annoying since the check in pad forces you to go through screens to apply for a credit card, then rewards and then actual check in. The rooms are fine with a microwave and small fridge. They actually service the rooms daily which is a huge plus, but the cleaning and stocking is not very consistent - sometimes you get room coffee packets and sometimes you don't. The TVs are nice and Netflix accessible. The showers are the worst - hot water is fine but the shower doors don't stay shut, leak water, and there is no place to put the tiny plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner. On the plus side there is a workout area (but the water dispenser does not work and I suspect that has been the case for awhile) and you have to get filtered water on the second floor (the water in the area is very hard, you will want filtered water). Also they get props for keeping the hot tub at a good temp and stocking towels for the pool. During the holiday rush the breakfast was tragic, they stopped putting out yogurt, breakfast bars, hard boiled eggs and muffins. You basically had cereal, waffles or bread. They do keep the coffee and tea going in the lobby which is nice for those chilly days. Lastly, they are very dog friendly and even have a little fenced in area off the parking lot for furry friends to run around in. read more

We got stranded in Edgewood, New Mexico yesterday and ended up staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites here while waiting for our motorhome to be repaired. From the moment of our first phone call the front desk clerk Mary, was very friendly and accommodating. She is the type of person that makes you feel welcome! The breakfast was good and there was a great selection. They even have snacks and popcorn at night for guests. This hotel is newer, the rooms nice and they even offer free a washing machine and dryer! The indoor pool and spa was also a great perk at the end of a stressful day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers. read more

HOTEL - We were passing through and decided to stop here for the night. The hotel was pretty nice and smelled good throughout. They also offered free hot/cold breakfast which was very convenient. ROOM - The room was NICE and CLEAN with a great layout. However, you could hear everything going on in the room upstairs. Also, the shower had NO WATER PRESSURE. It took forever to get in and out. PET FRIENDLY - I love that the hotel is pet friendly, but they really need a grass area for pets to do their business. They only had a small caged area with black gravel. I can't imagine it would be usable on hot days. FEES - This hotel charges fees that other hotels don't. $25 fee if you have a pet. 3% fee if you use a credit card. Hello...everyone uses credit or Atm to pay for hotels. I ended up paying $174 for the night. We could've stayed at a Marriott but were too tired to drive any further. read more

While traveling the past 2 days our destination was Edgewood. Now this is the only lodging in the town but that shouldn't need to concern travelers. The staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival. In fact all the staff has been friendly and helpful. Let me start with the rate...very reasonable. But actually after the first night the rate is not enough for the excellent room and facilities available. This is a excellent lodging facility. The room had 2 neatly prepared queen beds with quality linens. The bath was spacious with a deep bathtub and a handheld shower wand with 3 settings and quality towels. I had a desk to work from, chair and ottoman and a wide screen TV with Direct. Breakfast was enjoyable, tasty and fresh. I strongly recommend for travelers. read more

(wanted me to wash them if I didn't like it .. then preceded to go out of his way every time he seen me to bug about other rules.. oh your smoking to close to the door..( next to the outside ash tray)?? BEWARE 3% UPCHARGE FOR USING A CREDIT CARD!! The shower heads must have come from Dollar Tree. They provide excellent coverage to the wall and door but NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, in between and it doesn't adjust, nor can you reach it to adjust the direction. We stayed on Friday night and the base coming from somewhere rattled the bed. It was no different in the other room we were given. BEWARE 3% UPCHARGE FOR USING A CREDIT CARD!! Wow, Brand new hotel. Everything impeccable. The design of the bedroom is excellent-love the closet location -the coffe bar area -the huge TV - with HBO- the mirror replacement and fabulous king size bed. We arrived quite late and Donna was very efficient in getting us checked in. We continue to be impressed by the indoor pool and buy the terrific location. Absolute Nightmare! The worst experience in my life! Do not stay at this hotel if you can avoid it. The heater in the room did not work. I should add that several family members did not have heat either. It was below 32 degrees outside & snowing. The elevator didn't work. The breakfast was horrible & no heat in the breakfast area either.. The breakfast attendant said the water line to the pancake maker was not working due to the cold & they have been experiencing several malfunctions. He made it sound like these problems (elevator not working, heaters not working) have been a problem for a while. The front desk personnel knowingly put handicap & 70+ yrs on the 3rd floor. I asked to be moved to the first floor as I am disabled and can not handle 3 flights of stairs & was supposed to stay a second night. I had to be at the funeral service at 10 am. I told the front desk person i would come back after the service to change rooms. Front desk person (acting manager) Jennifer was exceptionally rude & truly did not care that I am disabled & on the 3rd floor. She said there weren't any rooms available on the 1st floor & refused to check me out so I could find a handicap accessible room with a working heater at another hotel. It was after checkout time, but I was at my grandmother's funeral. I was very angry & frustrated by this time. I asked for the manager, and Jennifer told me it wasn't possible on a Saturday. She finally wrote the managers name & phone number on a sticky note. I went out to my car to call Booking.com to get a resolution while my husband gathered our bags to check out. I went back in to simply check out & Jennifer refused to check us out because it was after checkout time and 1 pm. I was already charged for the second night & she said we would be checked out the following morning. I am exceptionally frustrated at this time because I know she can do a late checkout & give me a receipt. I told her to please write her name down on a piece of paper. Her exact response was, "Where is the other sticky note because she didn't want to waste a second sticky note!" I told her to waste the paper & write down her name. I have worked at several hotels in the past & I guarantee if I had acted like she did, I would have been fired on the spot. It is possible to check out someone late, still charge for the night & give the customer their receipt. I am reporting her & this hotel. I have called and spoke to the manager "Barbara" and she refused to refund either night. read more

In August 2022, we had prepaid reservations with this hotel, but due to getting COVID, were unable to travel and had to cancel. The third party (Choice Hotels) we had booked through said they would not refund our money. However, Barbara at the hotel went out of her way to get our refund because she didn't think it was right not to. She could not have been kinder. read more

Hotel was fine. I booked asking for a top floor. I understand that they are not always available. When I checked in I asked again and they gave me the 3rd floor. The new hotels nowadays are all wood subfloor and you hear everything above you. At least this one didn't have hardwood floors in the entrance way which even magnifies the noise more. I asked if anyone was above me. He said yes but it's an employee staying there so it should be ok. I agreed thinking they have enough common sense and courtesy to keep the noise down. At 1:30AM I heard a loud bang followed by pacing back and forth above us. This went on until 3 am off and on and that's when I decided to call the front desk. I told them that when you rent a room you expect a quiet room to sleep and getting woke up by an employee is unacceptable. I said they were pacing or herding cats because they just keep walking around and banging stuff. I also mentioned that if they have an employee staying there and working through the night maybe they should put them on the first floor so we don't have to listen to them stomping the floor above and shutting there door loudly. I will say after I called the girl at the front desk she said that she would call them and take care of it. It did stop and I finally went back to sleep for about 2 more hours. One other thing is the environmental system. It does work well however it's as quiet as a church mouse. It's so quiet that you here everything including the cars and trucks on I-40, and everything in the hotel. I used my white noise app on my phone to drown out a lot d the noise which helps me sleep. If you are a light sleeper like me good luck and prepare for stomping above and highway noise. When I brought it up the morning I left the front desk person didn't seem to care one bit about what happened. This is the second time I've stayed here. I will try another hotel next time read more

I would definitely recommend staying at this Comfort Inn & Suites. We were driving back home and originally had a hotel in Albuquerque. That hotel was awful so we kept on going down the road and found this one. Very new. Clean. Lots of amenities and little details that we appreciated; such as candies at the front desk, popcorn machine, free breakfast, filtered water dispenser at the ice machine, mints on the pillows, plenty of charging points and outlets, nice digital thermostat in the rooms, great storage in the rooms, and modern decor. The beds were pretty firm, so not the most comfortable for us. The shower head was funny- might have been broken. Those are my only two complaints. Staff was AMAZING! They were so so friendly and helpful! Bottom line: stay here and not in Albuquerque!! It's worth it!!! Very cute town! read more

The cleanliness of the hotel was fine. However, the water filtration system on the second floor did not work. The shower in our room did not work. The "hot" portion of breakfast amounted to a few crumbs of scrambled eggs and one sausage link. And we found out when we were trying to go to sleep that our room was directly over the indoor swimming pool. Listening to screaming kids in the pool after 9 pm is not enjoyable. read more

Nice hotel. We spent only one night but it was ok. The ladies in the front warned us about the water and they were right. The water had a nasty taste when brushing my teeth ....so get your bottle water to brush your teeth. The beds are comfy. Overall good! read more

I just left the Comfort hotel in Edgewood NM. Please avoid this hotel. We stayed here so we could stay outside Albuquerque. When we checked in the young man at the front desk was helpful and checked us in. Once we were in room and got settled we noticed the pull out bed had no sheets. Housekeeping should probably put extra sheets and blanket in closet so we did not have to go get them at front desk. We also could not choose what temp we wanted on air-conditioner thermostat. It may of been the thermostat not properly working. There was 1 tissue in the tissue box and no extra anywhere in the bathroom. This are minor things and I probably would not of wrote a review but paying 170 for a room you expect a little more. Like I said I probably wouldn't of wrote a review but the kicker was when we went to eat breakfast with my 2 grandchildren under the age of 12. We started to get breakfast and this employee freaks out and tells us to leave the room. He says he has to serve us. I actually told my grandaughter I would serve here. He was so rude about it instead of just apologizing and saying it's just our rules. We ended up just having eggs, they was so much water in them, and sausage. No drinks because he was an a****** and I did not want to deal with him. He ruined our whole stay with his attitude. He made us feel as if we were stealing food. We then have to get something else to eat later on our drive out. Thanks for the crappy continental breakfast. I understand short staff as I work in the service industry but attitude goes a long way. Overall a nice stay in a clean room while we were on our travelling way through New Mexico. Just a slight problem with the tv remote cord being strung where the remote beam could not reach it. And the tv switched to different setting, so i was unable to switch it back and it was useless in the morning. No big ussue because the breakfast was fine and we were only there for 1 night. read more

We were in room 416 and our room was literally vibrating and the floor and room were freezing even though our ac was turned off. Finally figured the cold and vibration might be coming from the room below. The room was not occupied and Lisa on the night desk very graciously addressed the issue and turned off the ac in the room below. New style ac that appears to have a design flaw causing the vibration. Also shower door is on same side as shower head and head too high for normal person to reach to adjust so be prepared to get your head wet. Beautiful Inn but would only stay again if I could get a room on the first floor to avoid the vibration issues. Loved the walk in shower in spite of shower door location. read more

We were victims of the Edgewood, NM 2018 blizzard and stopped at your motel out of desperation. I was concerned you would be out of rooms when I saw the crowd of people making the same stop as we. Casey (manager?) was assuring everyone we would be taken care of and was more concerned about getting us into rooms than anything else. He was handing out maps with the road condition hotline numbers and making sure everyone had the information they needed. Mary, apparently called in to help out under the circumstances, checked us in and kept a cheerful disposition when others were getting short and testy. I think everyone's nerves were on edge, but your staff kept a positive and encouraging front to calm the masses. We were in your motel for 36 hours. Our room was beautiful and warm. Each time I visited the front desk, Mary was still there. She made calls to see which restaurants were open so we wouldn't have to worry about food. Snow shovels were provided so we could dig out our cars. No matter what needs arose, your staff was wonderful in doing whatever they could to help out. If we had to be stranded, we couldn't have been stranded in a better location or received better care. Thank you! read more
