Human relationship: check-in experience is poor working with a middle-aged white man who does not think he should be working in that job. No interest in his job, no eye contact, nothing. He made me felt like I was there to beg for a room to stay. Sanitation: hallway has a musky smell. Felt like the building needs to be condemned. Food: may be they should just skip the free breakfast. After 12 hours on the road, it was finally nice to stop for the night. As soon as I walked in, a very pleasant couple greeted me. Check -in was quick and easy. The husband even offered to carry our luggage upstairs since there is no elevator. We only had 1 bag so we were fine. The beds are clean and comfortable. The amenities are suitable. The dining area is clean with real plates and condiments and coffee cups ate at each table. At breakfast there are hot sausages, scrambled eggs, and a pancake machine that dispenses and cooks two at a time. The coffee machine makes several varieties including mochas and lattes and you can adjust the strength of the brew. Checking out was a breeze and again I was greeted by pleasant staff at the front desk. read more

Just not very clean. I know it's old but like the bathrooms are gross, and I don't think they've cleaned the wall trim since opening. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The breakfast was nothing special. Nice pool. Our sink didn't drain properly. Our lamp flickered. Bathroom floor was a little sticky on arrival. Room was sweltering at 3:30 check in. Can understand maid may have cleaned in the morning but seriously should have turned it off. MAN at check-in is wearing a dress, pumps and pantyhose (awkward), and bathroom was only minimally cleaned (see photos). This place needs some maintenance, deep cleaning. The beds look clean and well-made but that and the tv with lots of good stations, and a nice pet-friendly floor are the only pluses I can honestly mention. After 6 hours on the road we will try to settle in but I will warn others - this is a convenient but gross stopover. I guess the reasonable cost (140 including pet fee) will buy us dinner at the Denny's across the street. Not the high point of our trip. read more

I know it's too early for me to post this. I'm still here. I was traveling from Las Vegas. My company check me into this place. I don't check out till Thursday the 7th. So far, the staff's been pretty awesome. I like that they have a nice pool with a heated jacuzzi. I've been working out lately, so I appreciate the weight room. The weight room is pretty nice too. There's a laundry room here. I brought my own shampoo and body wash and travel gear but in case you didn't know, there is on the wall located in the shower, a body wash and shampoo dispenser which is awesome. The bed is nice and super comfortable. You have your desk for your work and you get a fridge and a microwave in here. I did have a minor issue, They asked for my card for incidental. I later came back and let them know it should be my company's card and they are the one that checked me in. The gentlemen fixed it right away. And having said that. That was very cool and professional of them to correct the issue. Yeah, this place is pretty cool I'd come back. The other coolest thing is my company I work for have me working across the street. I can just walk to work LOL I also find out that this place is pet friendly. I am a Diamond Select member of the Best Western frequent stayers program and this is the highest level of their program. One of the few perks left at this level is that you are suppose to receive either a free gift at check in or an extra 500 bonus points, your choice at check in and you are supposed to be recognized for your level of participation. Also you are to receive complimentary bottled water. I was given no choice when I checked in and when I asked about bottled water when I went to my room and found no water, I was told that I could buy bottled water across the street either at the truck stop or at a convenience store on the other side of the street. Obviously not the answer I was expecting. The photos used in advertising are very misleading and have been taken as if for a magazine or a for sale advertisement. The lobby is beautiful but very small. This is a huge case of putting lipstick on a pig and calling the place beautiful. If you notice in the three photos below, there are definite maintenance issues in this hotel. This is an internal two story hotel but they have no elevator. This is not something that they notify you of in advance and is an issue if you have a condition where you cannot climb the stairs especially carrying luggage. Right now November 2022 they have construction going on in the hotel and no prior notice is given. They have many signs up saying that construction runs from 10 am to 6 pm; however several mornings I was awakened by loud banging immediately over my bed. They are also immediately adjacent to a truck stop and often the parking lot is full of big rigs. Also others have mentioned the "new" beds. I found them too tall and the one in my room the side was broken, no support on the edge. As a matter of fact I somehow got too close to the edge while sleeping and actually fell out of the bed while asleep. Luckily no lasting damage to me. I selected this location because it was the closest to my friends home; however in the future I would decide to stay elsewhere. Ron the calm, polite, professional gentleman answered the phone and was consistent and interested in our reason for calling and booking a reservation. I asked if he could match Expedia and he was so darn sincere.. he said.." let's see how close we can get to your target goal price." I just loved his overall friendly warm roll out the red carpet attitude! Make this guy your manager and have him do all the hiring & training.. HE's Gold!! Very nice place and seems like it used to be extremely reliable but right now may not be the best time to stay. I had several needs or calls to the front that went unanswered and was told several times, in no uncertain terms, that they are short staffed (due to COVID, no less). Room cleaning didn't happen the first day and I was told that due to being short staffed, people have to request it. They couldn't deliver clean towels that first night because of being short staffed. That was not told to me on check in but I was to request for the next day. However, the next day by 4:30 it still wasn't done. I tried calling front desk and yet again my call wasn't answered because they were short staffed. No time frame on the cleaning and when I asked if they could let me know by phone the front desk person seemed put out and preferred I just come back and ask at the front desk instead of reaching out to me with an answer. I said no, I would prefer a phone call please before I come back so I know it's ready. Saw the cleaning cart standing alone in hallways near the elevator (not near a room) several times and no cleaning person in sight. Every worker seemed rushed and stressed and had very little patience for my questions. Not a lot of niceties from staff--just short, curt answers. Again, would recommend waiting until they are no longer short staffed. read more

We spent one night here on our way to Yellowstone National Park. This Best Western is in the Salt Lake City area. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean. I think those are two of the most important things for a hotel/motel room. The bed had a lot of big, fat comfy pillows and it was comfortable! I believe it was a king size bed. We had a good night of sleep and rest here. There's also a refrigerator and microwave, which came in handy for us. The TV was a good size and it worked perfectly. Believe it or not, I've stayed in hotels/motels that don't have a TV. For example in Marfa, Texas. Lol. Me and my son need our TV fix! Anyway... The bathroom was also clean. The shower was glass. It dripped a little bit of water but it wasn't a big deal for me so I didn't say anything to the staff. There was also plenty of towels in there for taking a shower, etc. My bf took care of getting the room and dealing with the staff. I didn't talk to anyone here. He said they were nice. They offer free breakfast. We didn't take advantage because we had fruit and other breakfast foods in a cooler. We wanted to leave early in the am to Wyoming. This Best Western also offers an outdoor pool. It looked nice and clean. We had a nice view of it from our room. The outside is pretty, too! It had lots of lush, green grass and flowers all over. It was well maintained. There was a food truck there but we didn't try it. I would stay here again if I was ever in the area. The people were pretty chill and nice at stores and restaurants around Utah. My bf said the room was a bit pricey but he also enjoyed the comfort of it. Stay here if you're in the area! :) read more

My stay was decent, the pillows leave a bit to be desired, but otherwise it was good. The free breakfast is your usual hotel breakfast fare of scrambled eggs, sausage muffins, yogurt and waffles, etc. Everything seemed clean. The views are fairly nice from the second floor, saw some hot air balloons flying against the snow capped mountains in the distance. A great place to stay for the night or a few days. The exterior place looks great. The main reason why we picked this particular hotel was the fact that they had semi parking and was close to our delivery site. We got there late Friday night and booked for three nights. We are best western rewards member. i did not know how to use my points to book a free night so i called customer service. When we got to the hotel, it only listed us staying for one night. The night clerk tried to figure it out but could not. So the next morning we had to get up early to go talk to the front desk. They already had it taken care of by the time we got there. The place was really nice. The room was amazing. It was clean and very spacious. They had a beautiful showier with glass door. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser in the shower stall was AWESOME. It was so convenience. Definably beat the small little bottles. They gave you a lot of towels and the towels were thick! It was not the thin cheap ones you would find else where. The bed was very comfy. I slept like a baby. They had thick blankets. It Was nice and with a lot of pillows. The cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating. They cleaned the room and gave us fresh new towels and even come out to tell us it was ready. They had a business center in which I used to print out docs for my delivery. Everything was great about the hotel besides the truck parking. It did not really worked well with longer tractor-trailer combination. But the hotel was across the street from a flying J so we parked our truck there. The hotel is near a truck stop. But to be honest we stayed there for three days and you could barely even hear the truck traffic. Did not bother us at all. What we could hear was people talking in the hallways. They were also pet friendly with a pet fee of $20 a night. They have a huge grassy area for your pets and bags o use for your pets bathroom. overall, the hotel was great. I thought it was a bit pricey. But you get for what you pay for. The staff was friendly. We slept good. the noise of other neighbors was not a bothersome. will come back if in the area read more

This was a first staying at a Best western hotel. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the room, the breakfast, and the faculty. The room was spacious, beds so comfy, and it was kept nice and warm for us. (It was in the 30s when we arrived.) the shower was very comfy, and I was surprised to see they had dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash! How thoughtful! Even the coffeemaker was like a mini keurig! The breakfast was hands down the best on our long road trip. It was nice to have a hot meal, eggs, two different sausages, salads, waffles, so many pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, and oatmeal. The coffee was delicious as well. I'd love to stay again if ever I came back. Not to mention the views! The mountains are literally a walk away! Do yourself a favor and stay here. read more

Have been a regular customer of Best Western going between our 2 homes. The day manager and staff were extremely rude, unprofessional and harassed us while I was in the shower. Manager said he could see steam billowing out ( from my hot shower) My husband had a flavored nicotine vape pen which he used and we now are charged $100 for smoking. I cannot stand the smell of smoke in my hair, clothes or room, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone with this location. Drive 10 more minutes & stay in the Salt Lake City location. I begged the manager to do a walk through upon checking out & he refused saying there would be no evidence after 2 hours. It was only 1 hour since he banged on the door, I rushed to get dressed & load my car. Sam, the day manager also refused to give his last name just as he refused to do a walk through because he knew there would be nothing. Is this legal? Is this how they make extra $$? read more

Unclean! Unethical! Stay elsewhere! I stayed at this establishment on the night of April 21, 2018, while driving cross-country for residential move. I have two adult [fixed] cats, and so, requested a pet-friendly room and gave notice that I would be arriving late in the evening for check-in. While the ladies at the evening desk were pleasant, the room in which I was staying reeked strongly of urine and other pet scents. (See first two photos.) The floor and walls were heavily damaged. I quickly took photos and went to the front desk to show them the state of the room. I had been made to sign a lengthly pet waiver during check-in and paid a $20 pet fee, but did not want to be blamed for the damage. Upon seeing the photos, I was moved to a room a few doors down. I took other photos of small damages to the walls and carpet again [timestamped]. (Photos below. Not shown - heavy mold in shower area and discolored towels.) I set up a litter box in the bathroom, as it had hard flooring. In the morning, upon check-out, the room was tidy, save for a small amount of litter on the bathroom floor. (Unfortunately, I had no broom to sweep it up. Apparently the $20 pet fee did not cover general sweeping of a bathroom... which I feel should be happening after every visit, regardless of pet status? ) A few days later, I received an additional $60 charge on my card. When I called Best Western, they claimed that there was "excessive" litter and that it had been tracked onto the carpet, which they claimed had to be steam cleaned. Litter only needs to be swept and/or vacuumed. Steam would create a mucky mess, so I am inclined to believe this was a fabrication in an attempt to scam additional fees out of a guest. (Especially considering that there was minimal litter in the box, which was placed in the far corner of the bathroom and there was very little litter outside of the box when I cleaned to leave the morning of the 22nd.) I have now called this Best Western four times, and very politely explained the situation - that I feel a total of $80 is a completely unfair additional charge for my stay - and have asked if a manager was available with which to speak, since I understand that generally such a matter needs to be resolved by a manager. I have somehow missed being able to speak to a manager every single time, so messages have been taken - but I have not yet been called back, although each time I was assured this would take place. Save yourself the headache! Book a hotel anywhere else! read more

I stayed here for 2 Nights on a ski trip. The staff was always friendly! I came in at about 11pm and the night shift gal had a smile on her face, and then leaving early in the morning the front desk gentleman was smiling and helped me with a few recommendations for some things I needed to do in the area. The food was exactly as you'd expect for a hotel breakfast. The whole area was clean and the staff cleaned up immediately after anyone left and even asked to make sure the food was to my liking. I read some of the reviews about this hotel and was very leery about even calling for reservations. By it being so close to the truck stop we decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk. That was a plus. Secondly we asked if the hotel was pet friendly again a plus. Next we asked if there was as deposit for having a pet, the answer was no. which was another plus. The rooms are nicely decorated and very spacious. Each room door was simply decorated for Christmas which was cute. There's also a dog walking area with doggie poo bags. lol. Yes, I will return. read more

"Spoiler alert... there will be blood... but you won't see it until you've slept in it" In response to the owners's lie about wrt blood I posted a pic of the dried blood under google photos for this location. You decide who the liar is... After driving 12 hours I was looking forward to a quiet restful evening. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived. I rang the bell twice over the span of five minutes and finally someone (not in uniform or wearing a name tag) came to check me in. I am a rewards member but was not offered rewards or points. When I got to my room the towels looked old and worn out to me (I later discovered they were actually dirty). After using the bathroom my boyfriend tried to flush the toilet and the handle was broken so he had to flush it manually by taking the lid off of the tank. We got ready for bed and even though the AC was set to 68 the room was hot and humid so we set it to 66 but it never cooled down. In the morning when we got up to shower and leave I was horrified to find someone else's menstrual blood on the sheets of the bed we slept in ALL NIGHT! I called the front desk and was told they would make it up to me. They only offered 20% off and even after I listed all the things wrong with the room, with photos of the blood, during a face to face at the front desk and three phone calls the best they could offer me was 30%. (Update: They still have not adjusted the 30% promised off my bill). I have been traveling from Portland to Florida and back since September 1st and staying at Best western the whole way. This was the worst experience I have had to date with them. read more

I knew it was going to be that kind of evening when I pulled off the on ramp and smoked a poor raccoon that decided to cross the road in front of me. The check-in process was straight forward and we were placed in a corner pet friendly room at the back of the hotel. The room was large and there wasn't any street noise, so that was a plus. Unfortunately the AC unit couldn't keep up with the size of the room - simply not enough power to fill that big of a space. The free breakfast is appreciated, but the options were pretty slim at this one. If you're traveling with a dog this is a pretty good deal and there's a ton of space to take them for a walk. I absolutely loved this hotel. It was literally the best hotel experience I have ever had. Room was clean, they granted me an early check in, late check out...and the staff was amazing. Everyone was so polite and nice. The breakfast was the best breakfast... they had everything from waffles to breakfast burritos. They even had fresh avocado and sauteed mushrooms!!!!!! But what made my stay the best was an employee named Jessica. She was in charge of breakfast that day, and she was so friendly. I was busy making my kids waffles and she offered to help the kids get anything else they wanted. Then she even helped me carry my food to my room. If there were minus stars that's what it would get. First off, it's right across from a Truck Stop and a noisy as heck roadway so forget continuous sleeping for any length of time. Just what I need to attempt to fall asleep to or stay asleep to, jake brakes and no muffler semi trucks and loud cars and/or motorcycles DIRECTLY across the roadway. Secondly, it is a multiple story hotel with NO elevators, something they somehow forget to mention so if you want an upper floor room to avoid the noise created of people stomping over your head all night long prepare to hoof it with your bags. If you can't hoof it then prepare to stay down in steerage with the rest of us. The bathrooms are something you'd expect in a Motel 6 or worse, shampoo and soap dispensers on the wall, cheesy towels etc, talk about cheap! Can't y'all even spring for the little bottles of shampoo and decent hand/facial soaps? Oh wait, the answer certainly will be "well we bought new beds" like that is the answer to all problems. To finish it all off, as a frequent B.W. customer I've come to like the little touches like cookies and milk left out for the guests, NOT HERE. I guess it takes too much time or costs too much even though every one of their competitors has no problems providing the little things that make a stay more like home. If you're going to price yourself the same as your competition like Holiday Inn Express then you might want to start being a bit more equal or lower your price. The room was quiet. That was its best feature. Be aware that they put a hold on your credit/debit card for an extra nights stay and you will see the charges on your card. I thought they double charged us and they informed me of these practices. I think this is rude to hold a customers funds for their own benefit instead of charging the amount that is actually owed. read more

This Best Western has the best service around! All of the workers and staff are so kind and helping. The morning breakfast has a variety of things from bagels to breakfast burritos. Everything is re modeled including the rooms. Fresh paint , nice bathrooms, everything is up to date. The pool is really nice as well. The only thing is that when we got into our room there was hair in the shower , so the maids could do a little better on that particular subject. But other than that i rate this place five stars! read more

My wife and I have been staying here for a week, I'm a best western rewards member for 5 years. The room service is the worst I have had in all my stays. They didn't vacuum our room, through our bed together, look like my 12 year old son made the bed. Toilets are dirty and didn't replace the glasses. Worst service I have ever had. read more

The property and room were clean and attractive. Customer service by check-in and housekeeping was miserable. After finding our pet-friendly room immediately adjacent to the entrance/exit door, I requested another room assignment. This was early afternoon when many rooms were still vacant for the night. I was informed another room was not possible due to the policy of keeping pets nearest entrance/exit door. I'll be noticing when other pet owners check in what room they are assigned. Secondly, shoddy housekeeping. Two empty toilet paper holders. No facial tissue in tissue box holder. Third, the road noise is objectionable being not only adjacent to I-15 but also a major arterial on which large semi-trucks and vehicle traffic is constant at least through early afternoon. If you seek a low price hotel by BWestern, this is it. But we get what we pay for. read more

I stayed here last night. If my rating was based on my check in experience it'd have been 5+. A very welcoming, personable young man checked me in. The hotel rooms warrant my negative review. The first room we were given had an overwhelming cigarette smell, despite it being a non smoking room. The second room smelled fine, but was oddly missing a shower curtain. I didn't want to complain so took a bath. From that view mold was evident along a rim above the faucet that extended the length of the tub. The positive aspects of the room was a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator and plenty of towels. read more
