We stayed at Best Western in Parker for Father's Day weekend while the rest of our group was over at Emerald Cove. The view wasn't exactly postcard-worthy unless dirt lots are your thing but we weren't there for the scenery. We just needed a comfortable place to accommodate our overflow crew, and it did the job well. The facility was clean, the AC blew wonderfully cold (a must in Arizona), and the pillows were comfortable enough to earn a good night's sleep. The continental breakfast was surprisingly decent and gave us a solid start to the day. While this isn't a five-star resort, it provided all the amenities we needed without any fuss. We spent one night here. The check in was easy and the lady was friendly. We found our room clean and the bed to be comfortable. This was a quick trip so we didn't try the breakfast. I've stayed at numerous BW's. The price is always right and I've never had a complaint. This BW was awful. It needs to be closed down and remodeled. Ice machine sounded like it was going to explode when using and no ice when we checked in or when we went to leave. AC in room made loud noises all night. Shower curtain in bathroom was hung too high, causing water to get all over the floor. No hot water, let it run for 15 minutes! No conditioner, only shampoo. I am in disbelief of the lack of hospitality at this establishment. If I could give zero stars I'd gladly will in a blink of an eye. I usually stay at Hampton right next door however, this trip I had to bring my 2 beautiful dogs. While browsing between Airbnb and which hotels I should stay at. I thought I'd give Best Western a shot when I came across the website stating it is dog friendly with a small fee of only $20 a night with a limit of 2 dogs 80 pounds and under, with a catch... a loop hole that the management will cheat you into a $100 charge on top. Long story short, not dog friendly and horrible customer service experience. Do not bring your fur babies here, especially if they have anxiety. After a long drive to Parker and bringing up our luggage we flipped on the TV browsing to see what to relax to. Found something we could laugh to. We basically took a 2 hour nap with white noise of the TV playing. I'm quite a light sleeper and the crazy dog mom I am, I'd definitely wake up to my dogs barking if they did. They were angels, and we got our rest. After not eating all day and a 2 hour nap we were starving. We figured it would be okay to leave our dogs alone while we went to go pick up some food quickly in a drive through, it's Parker.. there's not much else hahha. We literally left for 5 mins. And got a call from Best Western stating that the dogs have been barking NONSTOP ALL DAY LONG, which was quite a lie... They said they have already charged us with a $100 noise complaint fee. Which I'm fine with and I accept the charge and responsibility. I get it I'm a dog owner, sometimes my dogs may bark here and there but they were not barking "all day," as I was there present in the room with them prior. "Public disturbance" at 4:54PM huh?? And on top of that we were NOT notified that we weren't allowed to leave our dogs alone. We just figured leaving for at most 10 mins would be okay since we were picking up food and coming right back. Mind you, we drive a Tesla which records everything with time stamps. I will show proof of the time stamps from my car if when I was actually in my room and when we left. To the time stamp of the phone call. Best Western has lost a guest, never staying with them again. I'd love for cooperate to step in and train their staff of how to provide proper hospitality, that would be great. LYING TO YOUR GUEST IS REPULSIVE. read more

We arrived at the hotel around 7pm and Shaun was at reception. Very unfriendly manner like we entrapped her rest time. We reserved two rooms month a go and she gave us two upstairs with no elevator and in two different sides. We asked for down stair rooms and she said we're fully booked. Then we asked to have rooms next to each other, and she mumbled something. When we said that couldn't hear her, she said that couldn't talk better!!!! Next day we went for breakfast @ 7:30am. Mare and the kitchen staff were great. My husband and I were originally going to stay at Quality inn. I would not recommend Quality Inn Parker Arizona. Staff messed up my reservation for the weekend and even charged me for a room I didn't even stay in. Mare at Best Western Inn again was so comforting and accommodating. I would Highly recommend Best Western where staff are so helpful. Mare made our weekend. Stay away from quality Inn not recommended. They are not pet friendly. Do not believe the other sites that state they are. They'll take in your pet for an additional fee of $20 but here's the catch..... They stacked on an extra $100 saying that the dogs have been barking all day. So here's the back story. I literally was falling asleep to SpongeBob SquarePants for 2 hours drinking my strawberry yoohoo in the hotel rooms with the dogs on the floor sleeping. I have not heard the dogs bark at all. After waking up, I decided I was hungry, so I decided to hop onto my car to grab some food. 5 minutes later into driving, I received that call from best western staff telling me they received complaints about the dogs barking all day and stating I leff the dogs in the room by themselves all day. I told her I literally just left and told her I can't bring the dogs with me because food establishments don't allow dogs. She then calls me a liar and tells me she has already charged me $100 fine. If it's policy to be fined for leaving dogs in the room for 5 minutes, I'm perfectly fine with it but don't make up ridiculous statements about them barking all day. I have the clip of when I drove off my Tesla from best western lot and the timestamp of when the front desk called me. If any corporate staff wants to investigate I'll be happy to share this best western trash service/lies. Best Western has now lost my service, you can keep that $100, as that's the last you'll get from me. TLDR: If your pets have anxiety and they cope with barking don't bring them here. Not a huge selection of hotel/motels in Parker but this place is a good stay. Staff was extremely friendly and greeted me happily while I checked in. I had heard different things about the property but I found the rooms to be large, clean and very comfortable. They have free WIFI in the rooms and free breakfast in the morning (which I did not get to try). Maybe next time! I would recommend pre-booking and not take the risk of dropping in. I have come into town without reservations and been burned by something going on at the river or other events in the area where all the hotels were booked. read more

Worst service and manager ever dealt with. Was told we booked 3 nites but told her we did not that we came for the RV show, the 2 of us, and showed proof of confimation for only 1 night. Said we needed to call expedia to fix. We did, they said those other 2 bookings were NOT in our name or that hotel. We told her that and she didnt care nor would she investigate on her end. Terrible service for a manger. Now will have to claim fraud on our credit card as she insists on not reversing the 2 xtra bookings. Contacting the owner next. Would never come back nor recommend this place. Leaky faucet, Doors dont shut correctly, have to slam bathroom door to shut it. $168 a nite is outrageous. But more the customer service. Perfect spot for a quick stop. Rooms were clean & beds were comfortable. They were able to get me 2 rooms next to each other for me and my kids. No elevator to the 2nd floor made it a little rough with luggage but we managed. Night manager could of been a tad bit friendlier, There was an issue with my reservation (don't book through a 3rd party) and she wasn't that helpful. BUT young lady in the morning was nicer. I booked a room at this hotel while in town for a wedding. If you have Triple A they do offer a discount so yay for that! Since we're all foodies here let's start with the *complimentary* breakfast. Y'all, this breakfast was fireeee. They had orange, apple, and cranberry juice, water, coffee, eggs, bacon, tater tots, sausage, yogurt, cereal, muffins, bagels, waffle machine, and plenty of condiments. It was so freakin good! I was in carb heaven. The room was clean, air conditioning worked perfectly, curtains blocked out the sun, and the water pressure in the shower was great. They also had a fridge and microwave, which was my favorite part as many hotels don't offer that, so you can come prepared with food so as not to spend as much. There is a Burger King literally right next door if you need, plus plenty of diners, restaurants, and even a Chase and Bank of America within a 3 mile radius. They offer free wifi, there is a computer and printer, a small gym, ice machine, and coffee/water is offered round the clock. I didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on that, but I'm super happy with the amenities overall. There is NO UBER. The wedding I was attending was about 20 minutes away in Parker. There is a shuttle that can take you there, but it costs $35 (for 2 people) one-way. Yikes! So keep that in mind if you will be drinking and need a ride to and from. read more

I had several trips pre booked for this hotel. My wife got rushed in to surgery to have spleen removed. Tried to just reschedule one trip with them and they told me no way. So if your thinking about going here I would recommend the Hampton Inn right across the street. We booked an overnight stay at The Hampton Inn in Parker, AZ. Upon arrival, the manager, Laura Logan, let us know that they were unable to accommodate us because a previous guest had extended their stay. Needless to say we were speechless and upset and asked why they didn't call us to let us know ahead of time. She en proceeded to belittle us for booking through a third party. She let us know that we could stay at the best western across the street. While we were glad we at least had a bed to stay in, the accommodations there are nowhere near as nice as the Hampton Inn that we made a reservation at. It is much much older which is why we didn't book there. We asked if we could view the room before committing and her attitude was absolutely awful. She was sarcastic and completely condescending, as if we were not allowed to question our options. I have never in my adult life experienced this sort of treatment from anyone in customer service, let alone a "manager". We head over to the Best Western to view the room. The girl at the front desk was apologizing for Laura's behavior and let us know that he she has to do that all the time. She said there are many complaints about her. After we got our room, we proceeded downstairs to leave to go get dinner and there were some young men in the lobby, we made small talk with them and when she recognized me, she was shouting into the lobby to me as if to want to argue with me. My husband and I decided to keep on walking to avoid a confrontation with this obviously angry and inappropriate "manager". This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Laura had zero regard for us as paying customers, never apologized, nor even felt a bit of remorse for the inconvenience we were caused by her. Hilton, you need to call out your employees and do better! I will be sharing this incident with everyone I know that stays there. After reading other reviews. The ladies at the desk were so helpful and compassionate, as I was a Lost Lake fire evacuee. The room was very clean, the breakfast was very good. The pillows are about a foot high- they need to get normal-sized pillows. The TV remote I found to be very counterintuitive and impossible to figure out. I had to take it to the front desk to find the volume and channel adjustment buttons! Other than the two minor negatives I enjoyed my time there, although I find all hotel and motel prices to be highway robbery, exorbitant, overcharged, and all other applicable terms to indicate you have to be rich to stay there, which I am not. read more

BW's Website: Stay at this Parker hotel nestled in the beautiful scenery along the Colorado River etc. THIS HOTEL IS "NESTLED" BETWEEN VACANT STRIP MALLS & BURGER KING! BW'S Website: Hotel guests may also spend the day relaxing with the family by the heated swimming pool while grilling burgers on the barbeque. This was the main reason I choose this hotel over the others in Parker: THE POOL IS NOT HEATED. SO THEREFOR WE DIDN'T SPEND TIME RELAXING BY THE POOL. The door had 1/4 - 1/2" gap between door and jamb. The hall lights bright at night. I could read by the light coming in. I had to stuff towels under the door. ALso this hotel DOES NOT have the quality bedding I associate with BW.The blankets were old, not warm enough. No extras in the room. Every BW that I have stayed in for the past 3 years have had quality comforters or heavy cotton blankets. This had neither For $116 I expect to get what you say you have. I will not stay here again while visiting Parker nor recommend it. read more

Checked into this place and went to our room which was warm upon entry. Called the front desk since it was also making noises. The GM came after she said she had just gotten back from a bar, but said the room would cool off soon. Asked to be moved to a different room but said no, because it will get cooler. The hallway air was very nice and cool. Should have left the door open. It did get cooler after a few hours but still not as cool as the hallway. Room was nice, but don't think we will use the hotel again for future visits. read more

As they are practically one of the only name brand hotel in the area, and the most expensive one, but not by much more $$. For a mere $120 or less, minus "AAA" discount, they sure delivered! (The hotels/motels near by are around $80) It must've been 100° + on this summer day. The A/C was running in our room before we checked in so it was nice n cool. 8-) I made the mistake of trying out the "Kofa" Hotel the following day. What a mistake that was.. That's why I am so appreciative of something so simple as having the A/C running. We'll just leave it at THAT. (I am going to bash them after this. Terrible review comming right up!) Lesson learned. Had a great time here yesterday. Lauren was very kind and helpful. Gave us a very good deal too. Room and lobby were very clean and quiet. Fresh, cold water was also available. Compared to other hotels in this price range, this one was far superior. The bathroom was very clean and had no off odors. Wish I could say the same for other motels. Stay was good. Had to leave early do to family emergency. Front desk stated that since I did not give them a 24 hour notice that I most likely will not get a refund for the last night stay and that they will clean the room and rent it out. When an emergency arises, normally we do not get a 24 hour notice. General Manager Laura was extremely rude and stated that it's not her problem and she can do what ever she wants with her property. I had a mixup at another hotel so I had no place to stay. I had call Best Wester weeks ago and the were booked but I thought I would take a chance. I called and got Gail on the phone and luckily there had been a cancellation so they had a room. Gail was delight to speak to. I travel for a living and I have a lot of luggage. Gail was able to get me a first floor room so I didn't have to carry all of my stuff upstairs. Over the last 3 years of traveling I have racked up some hotel points. I have never used any of my points because I never know how to use them. Gail looked up my points and found out I have a ton of points. She fixed it to use my points so my room is now free. I've spent several nights here recently on two separate occasions. The staff is always friendly and efficient. I like that they have cookies at the front desk when you check in. The rooms are always clean I appreciate that they have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. They have extended breakfast hours which is also a plus. They have a good selection of breakfast items and not the same things every day. They have a workout room with cardio equipment but no weights. I would say this hotel is a good value and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

We requested for a roll a way bed and that was not good at all, I would recommend that they need to buy new ones but we were in a bind. Lisa at the front desk was not accommodating whatsoever. She basically called me to inform me that they automatically charged my card and booked me in without my permission, or signature. When shopping thru Expedia, I clicked the dates to check availability and they booked it?!? Not only was she sarcastic and rude on the phone, she was practically laughing at the fact that they were NOT going to give me a refund and I was "screwed". Expedia even tried and then said that this particular "Best Western" has already charged your card and won't give a refund. Since when does a hotel automatically book you in? I am so surprised how much I enjoyed staying at this property Laura at the front desk is amazing my daughter left her Google Chrome book in the room and Laura was able to get it from the room and stored at the front desk until we could pick it up. Even if the hotel is nice enough, when management saves on the air conditioning by keeping it off in all the rooms, and the Lobby and expects the guest to stay in a hot room for hours because the AC units minimally work (barely any fan function) then the hotel is definitely not worth my time and money. We came in at 6pm from a 108 degree day to a very hot room and hours later the room is still very warm. I think we can go to sleep at midnight, maybe. read more
