This place is a big fat no. We stayed in a bungalow. Do not stay here if you have a boat. They make everyone pile into 10 first come first spots for boats and if you don't get a spot there is no where to park your boat for the duration of your stay, which was not told to us. The staff were all rude except for the housekeeper. Excessive rules and the vibe of the place is lacking. We will never come to this place again and we've been to tons of KOA's. We would have been better off anywhere else in Parker, especially for the cost. read more

Could be better with just a few tweaks. First I'll go over the positives. It's a KOA now, so those parks are better managed in my personal experience with friendly staff. The entire property was very clean and maintained. The riverfront sites are tight but very nice. Probably the cleanest campground we have ever stayed at. So great job camp hosts! They are really on top of things there. The WiFi worked great. We felt safe and secure during our entire stay. We booked the riverfront patio sites 45 & 46 which aren't exactly riverfront like the photo on the website depicts, but rather setback with a view of the river. There is one site by the office that is exactly as pictured, but I didn't see any others. Nonetheless, we loved our sites due to their larger size and proximity to the beach. Also there wasn't a lot of vehicle traffic passing by our sites since they were at the very end of the campground, which made it safer for our small children. This campground shares property with privately owned manufactured homes and all the residents we encountered (except for one nasty lady on the beach) were very kind and welcoming. Now for the cons. The "beach" is extremely small for swimming and hanging out in the water. Practically the entire waterfront of their designated beach area is occupied by tied off boats and jet skis owned by the homeowners. Some of them didn't move the entire Memorial Weekend. And a grumpy lady tried to intimidate my daughter into moving our jet ski where her party's boat had been previously tied up that day. I'm sorry but are they paying rent for that tie off? First come first serve. Sheesh. So if you're looking for a place to hang out in the water all day and be able to come and go with your boat or skis, this really isn't the place for you. They do have 'dock' sites where you can camp and tie off your watercraft, but there is no beachfront there that I saw, so be prepared if you do book those sites. KOA could make this better for camping guests if they made boat slips for the homeowners and left at least 1/2 the beach open for campers to anchor their boats and beach their skis. So unfortunately until they resolve this issue and come up with a solution for the campers, we won't be back. We need beach access for our kids and a place to put our watercraft. If you want a real honest review of Riverland Report, keep reading. If you want a dishonest review of Riverland Resort and a personal attack on management because you didn't follow the rules of a park or were booty tickled because you didn't make your reservations on time for the following year, then go cry and sulk somewhere else. Our groups of six RVs have been camping together for a couple years. We have boats, jet skis, off road toys, etc. Recently, we have been quarantining since March 23, 2020. For the first month, we were at a resort just a few miles up the road, where management was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and some were downright racist. We have had our reservations months ahead at Riverland but we're forced to stay at another resort due to Crapid-19. May 1st came around and Riverland opened up, honoring all reservations for six RVs and six families. Upon entering the park, we were greeted by the front office staff and grounds crew. It was a breath of fresh air that we have never experienced before. Laurie, Teri, and Michelle were very professional, accommodating, and courteous, but they were still under quarantine orders. This was not understood by many customers as we witnessed rude behavior and comments by other customers when entering and leaving the store. Put the mask on if asked to do so! If your face is ugly, wear two masks! This park is very well maintained, perfectly manicured, and it's obvious that pride is taken by the residents of the park. As for the residents, most are very friendly once you have gained their trust. Would you want someone coming into your vacation and destroy what you have? In many ways, I can't blame the residents for how they behave, but at the same time, campers need to understand that you must take pride in the park for your short stay. Yes, some residents have that entitled mentality, but it goes away quickly with a kind approach from the campers. Here are a few items to consider when choosing a park and why we love Riverland.. 1. The management patrols the park themselves. 2. The grounds are well manicured and the gravel is watered down twice a day to keep the dust down. 3. The store is stocked with many essentials, including Claws! 4. Management responds to all incidents of trouble within the park. 5. Residents take you in as their own once you've proven yourself. 6. They allow reservations one year in advance. They have some of the nicest beaches on the strip. 7. Power pedestals are newer and provide clean power. 8. Beach front sites are steps from your boat. 9. Everyone here looks after each other's belongings. 10. The management is top notch, fair, equitable, and live on the premises. Here is some advice for everyone, to ensure you have a great stay.. 1. Read the posted signs and follow them. 2. Keep your dogs on a leash! 3. Clean up after yourself, family, and friends. 4. Don't feel entitled just because you've stayed here before. You sound like an inmate. 5. Keep your campsite and beachside clean. 6. Walk into the front office with a smile and those ladies will do anything for you! 7. Learn how to Karaoke. 8. Your depiction of the experience you had with Riverland and it's employees was far from the truth. Let me paint the correct picture for everyone here. I was also in the store when you and your friend came in with a young child. Yes, you were asked to put a face masks on but were insulted at the request. You and your friend had terrible attitudes, going as far as to call one of the office workers, the B word! The two of you then exited the store after being asked to put masks over your face. You came outside to a crowded dock area with men, women, and children present. At that point you decided to take your bikini tops off, using them as makeshift masks, while exposing your breasts and then wearing your life jackets. Everyone in the vicinity was appalled at your despicable acts, let alone the fact that you failed to tie off your skis correctly, allowing them to strike a nearby boat as you were inside the store. You then re-entered the store and proceeded to verbally assault the office staff further, at one point stating how no other Rv resort on the river required face masks. One of the office ladies responded, stating that Riverland followed guidelines set forth by the CDC. If you did your research, Gov. Newsom two days before your incident, had ordered Californians to wear masks in public. But instead of following park rules, you continued to berate the office staff. After many minutes of patience and professionalism displayed by the office staff, you were then asked to leave the premises. read more

Great place for family fun on the larger lake across from the King's River which was closed down due to the rushing water released from Pine Flats Dam Reservoir. The check-in personnel which was Samatha was very accommodating to our needs with a positive attitude when we arrived. In the future, there will be great modifications and upgrades to the facility. With ever changing regulations due to the pandemic. There is no doubt that it has brought about an un-nerving stress upon patrons and business owners. As a small business owner myself I can somewhat understand the frustration. My purpose is not to tear down. Hoping this helps a small business and its patrons approach the situation with more grace and tact. My friends and I traveled over 6 miles on our jet ski with the intention of shopping at the Riverland Boutique. We noticed the signs to wear masks. As my friend opened the door to inquire on masks being sold or provided she was instantly greeting with a cold "You can't come in." Granted, if my friend is treated cold she will return cold. Long story short, as I was able to finally walk in. I approached the desk apologetically asking if i may please explain the situation. I could not have been more polite. The staff handled themselves unprofessionaly without tact. As the main staff member was beyond reason, turning away me. The staff continued to make unnecessary statements behind their masks and plexy glass. Which were hard to make out. It felt so toxic and uncomfortable i couldn' t bring myself to spend a dime in there. They lost multiple sales because of it. Please remember we are on a river. It would be rare that a vacationer on the water would have an accessible mask. Each side of the river belonging to a different state, with different regulations. The 3 other restraunts/stores we visited that weekend did not require face covering. 2 of which were on the California side. Having face coverings for sale or providing one with a tactful approach would draw more patrons than unkindly and instantaneously disregarding them access to your store. Kindness diffuses an argument. That's all that had to be shown. It was very disappointing as we all truly like that boutique. We will never be coming back. read more

My parents reserved and pay deposit every year for the following year , last year with Pandemic we were told to call June 1st, my parents called last week of May to find out our camp spot was given away. We been coming to Riverland for more than 56 years , We live in another state , each state has different guidelines for pandemic, . Since we were told not to call till June 1st 2020, we call few days earlier then June to find out our reserved spot been given to other people , the new management don't communicate to tell each the calls or what they tell customers. I have been coming to Parker for about 5 yrs now with other family members that have been coming here for 30+ yrs. We all luv all the water activities available. A family member has even purchased property in the keys. We have small children so it's always been great for them to play on the beach infront of the store & have an icecream. This was until today when were rudely asked to leave and that we were not allowed here. Never once in 5 yrs for me and 30+ yrs for other fam members has this ever happened. Very disappointing for us and even more so for the kids. No where does it say any type of rules or regs of who is or isn't allowed to hang out in this area. Don't believe their hours of operation. Apparently they close when they please. Pulled in for gas before closing, tied up my boat and an employee comes out to state the gas pumps are closed as is the store, and that they had already taken their "readings" for the day. I guess the resort does not pay their employees to work a minute past closing so they start wrapping up 30 minutes or so beforehand. If i could give zero stars i would. In all my 7 years of coming here this is by far the worst and last year I will attend. When we first walked into the store to check in the older lady named terry was being extremely rude (she's RACIST) For starters they cut our vacation by 4 days so they can have 2 full days to clean the RV (still made us pay full price) due to covid which we were okay with at the beginning. But come to find out they just moved our RV & replaced it with another so another family can come a day later. We know this because we saw this with our own eyes, we were able to stay the extra days by staying at a hotel & coming back with our family who was able to keep the spot because they had brought their own RV's. terry then came to our camp site and said our neighbors complained that our music was too violent (we just played 2000's R&B on Pandora) so without a problem we switched the station. I guess our neighbors over heard her telling us something so they politely came over to us & explained that they DID NOT complain to her. Mind you 4 RV's down from us had a karaoke night that was way louder than our music, did she complain ? NO. Then on our last day while we were taking out our boats & skis she rudely came up to us & told us we can't park there we tried to politely explain they would be gone within less of an hour (it was already 9pm & there was plenty other open spaces if anyone new decided to park there) but she wouldn't let us talk & kept rudely saying you need to move them now. The whole trip she kept driving back & forth checking on us for something else to complain about she made our whole vacation experience the WORST. Lastly, every year a couple days in the vacation we as a whole family plan our trip for the following year so we always book for the same week a year in advance with NO PROBLEM. We go speak with terry about reserving again for the following year and all of a sudden there is "nothing open" "we can't pull up the booking for that far yet" "i can't open up calendar at the moment please call again later" we got all those excuses when a different one of us either called or went and asked ourselves, if you don't want us here let us know instead of lying!!! read more

DO NOT CAMP HERE - the residents think they own the beach and every boat tie off. We were attacked by the residents all weekend long every time we brought our boats in and every time we left for the day on the river. The management had NO control over the residents. We have 3 campsites, 2 boats and no one cared about our rights. Even a resident got in the face of our 14 year old daughter. We had to call the sheriffs to come out on our last day. The residents tie off rafts, floats and lilly pads and claiming they are bringing in a boat and they never do. Management told them they couldn't hold the boat tie offs and they still did. This park should just have residents and not campers at all. The residents leave their belongings on the beach all weekend and some days didn't even come down. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. Don't stay here. Stay at an all camping place with no residents. Campers are way nicer and have better manners. Shame on this place..... read more

This was our first experience at Riverland Resort. We stayed here July 22-26 2017. We have been visiting Parker Strip for the last 10 years and thought we would try a new place to stay. We had a group of 4 trailers and this place had riverfront spots for the dates we wanted. Now...we arrived at 1:20pm the day of check in. The website and confirmation email both said check in time was 1pm. My husband walks into the office and the 2 ladies said "Oh sorry, check in is at 3pm, sorry we never updated our website or emails! Your site isn't ready and there is rental trailers in the spots and our tractor is broken and so we can't move them." Now we just drove 6 hours with a young child and puppy in the 110 degree heat and these 2 ladies had zero sympathy or concern that they were not ready for us. This is unacceptable and I found it shocking that they didn't feel the need to accommodate us in any other way. Just to park in a different spot for a undesignated amount of time until they could clear our spot. Not a great way to start a vacation. Our second issue with Riverland is that we booked sites 17-20. Sites 17-19 are regular spots and site 20 is a premium site. They claimed on the phone that the premium sites have a beach area and for that reason are $15 more per night. Site 20 had maybe at best 1 foot if wet sand before there are a million rocks that you have to walk on to get to your boat in the water. The rocks are so bad that you have to wear shoes in them or else your feet will die. I very very disappointed with the false advertising of their premium sites. The rest of the park is clean and the store is convenient. But we will not be staying here again. There are better places to stay in Parker Strip. I would recommend somewhere else. read more

Water system is compromised with 'unknown contaminants'. So, there is no potable water source currently, except for a small kiosk where you can fill jugs (for a fee). Call before you show up, because they won't call you. They have added a lot of landscape rock since I was there last, and it looks really nice, unfortunately it is also crawling with scorpions, a problem we never had before. read more

Vacationed here three times now. Absolutely love it! The cleanest river resort I've been to. The kids love the sectioned off kiddie area. The people who run it are very nice. Sometimes they'll let the kids trade in a pretty rock for a piece of candy, which keeps the kids busy for awhile. Ha! I can't say enough good things about this place. They are always accommodating. They make sure you have everything you need then leave you alone to enjoy your stay. The first time, we stayed with a friend that has her own trailer, and the last two times we rented the on-site trailers that come fully equipped with linens, a toaster, dishes, and a coffee maker. It also came with a complimentary bottle of wine! I highly recommend this place and will be back before Summer's over! read more

We've been coming here for many many years (no joke 30 years our families have been coming here). Drive up with our boat or car to get the kids ice cream and splash around on there beach. We buy the kids river rat shirts here almost every year. We've even stayed with our RV here multiple times. Today we came and not only were there computers down so they couldn't sell things in the store but a lady told us we weren't allowed to play in the water there. Something we've done for years and see others do all the time. We ended up having to leave with our kids in tears. Very unfortunate. If you don't want anyone swimming there a sign letting them know that river water is only for private guests would be a good idea. Maybe reserve your store for guests only as well at that point. Not sure i would want to give you my money and then be kicked out. Sad because we've been long time patrons of your store and resort. read more

We stayed here for December and January and had a great site on the north end, broadside to the river. Hookups we're well situated & easy to access. Park is well run and maintained with lots of activities in the clubhouse. Laundry was just fine, wifi was adequate (we use a booster). read more

Great Rv campground. As we pulled in wondering where to go to find our spot a staff member greeted us. He explained where to go and what we needed to do. Very friendly. Full hook ups and all the amenities you need. We have a 36' motorhome and had no issues at all. Great beach with tables and bbqs. Laundry facility, fuel pump on the river and a nice store for basic essentials. Highly recommend this location and family friendly. We even brought our puppy and discovered they have a " bark park " for dogs ! read more

Great Place to Stay! We rented a travel trailer and was a little scared of what we might get (after a bad rental experience at Sand Point in Havasu)...We were pleasantly surprised! The trailer was as nice as some hotels we've stayed in! The outside of the trailer was a little dated, but as you walked in...WOW! Hardwood floors, matching linens, very clean, flat screen tv, all dishes, utensils, pots/pans, appliances were provided. All you needed to bring was food! Even papertowels, toilet paper, trash bags were provided!! : ) The grounds are very clean. The launch ramp is easy. The trailer was right on the water and the current is not very strong, which makes it nice for leaving the boat in overnight. We had a great time at Riverland and would recommend it to our friends. read more

Been going to this park for over 25 years and the current management is the worst we have ever seen. Manager Lisa is a lair, rude and difficult to deal with. Reservations DO NOT guarantee you anything since the park is always changing their prices and without any notice. We canceled our reservation 45 days in advance and never received our refund (which is only 50% of the deposit). Supposedly, the refund was sent in CASH, however, we never received the money and were told by Lisa that someone in our house had to have received the cash because she did her part and there is nothing else she can do. Nice location and clean campground. Reservation system is sometimes sketchy, seems very difficult for employees, like maybe to much going on at any one time. Yet it must be me if things are not as planned, even when I hear one sided conversations with other customers having issues with dates and spaces on their reservations also. Another big issue is PRICE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE so no matter what your 1st night deposit, it is not guaranteed, what the price will be when you show up is always a mystery. Management tends to be a little overwhelm with an antiqued computer system and all of their other duties. read more

In January 2017, we stayed at Riverland Resort in Earp, CA and had a pleasant experience. Later in February that year, we decided to make a reservation for the month of February 2018. We arrived on February 1 2018 to check in. We were informed that we did not have the site for the full month. Someone booked the site for the last day of February. This started our unpleasant experience. We were charged for a full month, thus the park made money off our monthly stay as well as the next person for that day. Then we were told that they were cleaning up a spill in our site thus we parked in the boat parking area. As it turned out site 12 has a sewage-holding tank under the site with pumps, etc. The pumps had failed and raw sewage poured out over the site. According to other park guests, this was not the first time. According to health.gov raw sewage can contain - salmonellosis, shigellosis, diarrhea, trachoma, melioidosis, gastroenteritis, hepatitis A, giardiasis, dwarf tapeworm infection, threadworm infection, hookworm infection, and strongyloidasis. Further "germs and parasites can be spread: directly by people coming into contact with sewage ..." Rather than removing the contaminated soil and rock, they sprayed it with some smelly chemical and then sprinkled a white podwer on the area. The spill was next to the Colorado River as the site backed up on the river. After 6 hours in the parking lot, we reluctantly pulled into the site as they said they had nothing else available. It turned out the water and electric had been off all day. Eventually the power and water came back on. On February 3, I did laundry. The laundry was filthy. With nothing to do, while doing the laundry, I noticed a sign in the laundry that said DO NOT DRINK THE WATER. Further, it said nothing; boiling, filtering, etc. could be done to make it useable. No one told us this when we arrived so we had been using it for 3 days. In the middle of the night, our cable boxes began to blink, in the morning no TV. I called the cable company and was informed the park had not paid their bill. Shortly the same morning we discovered there was no water. We had friends that met us at Riverland and their experience was not a pleasant one either. We thought that our experience was just a fluke thus; we decided to make reservations for next year. The man on the desk told us that sites 35 and 31 were available for next January. We looked at them and decided to reserve them. We both paid our reservation fee and the receipt showed our site numbers. When we were ready to leave, I went in to pay the electric. I decided to check on the new reservations. I was quickly informed we could not have the sites. Anyone making a 4 to 6 month reservation can bump you out of your spot. We canceled our reservations. read more

This place is a great overall resort...things to do, a great view, on site store and gas dock. It isn't cheap, by any means...but they try to keep the place cleaner than other local resorts. One BIG complaint...the restrooms are not maintained...usually out of toilet paper, the showers have not been touched..sometimes the water won't even come out of the head because of buildup...lights may be out...simple upkeep would go far here. read more

We stayed in a spot right on the river last winter and it was just terrific. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there are a huge selection of activities to take part in. The only complaint or concern that we have is that when the rains come, the water doesn't drain & we end up with a "lake" in a couple of spots in the park. Gal busy on cell phone sent us to a spot. Extremely tight to back into. No wifi or cable. Saw notice next AM that water was unfit to drink but we were not told.
