Great for a Short Visit…read more I stayed in the Fairfield Inn for one night during a visit to the area. The hotel was easy to find as it is close to highways and main roads. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, and the property is well-managed. My room was a King room, with space for my luggage and a desk big enough to work comfortably. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, and have modern bathroom fans that clear out steam from the shower quickly. The fitness room is on the smaller size and you still get in a good workout. The pool is large and has towels, chairs and loungers to accommodate parents, kids and other swimmers. The free breakfast has a wide array of choices that will meet most guests' needs. Overall, a good value for a one-night stay.

The receptionist was able to find us a King room available. She was very pleasant and gracious. The room is a good size with an entryway microwave and fridge set-up, good sized desk area and large, modern bathroom with walk in shower. The bedside lamps have two plugs each in the base and they work. A small closet is tucked in behind the fridge. The room looks and smells clean. The bed, blankets, sheets and pillows are comfortable. Towels are soft and plush. Personal care items are nice quality. Plenty of tp and tissues. The curtains need to be adjusted/rehung as they do not close properly and the parkkng lot light shines into the room. I used a hanger with clips to hold the panels together, but light still shone in especially at the bottom. We also heard a good amount of walking around overhead. Other than those items this is a good room. The room was cool during our stay. It was in the 20°'s overnight, and the heat did kick on often. We could have turned the heat up, but the blankets were very adequate to the job and we like sleeping cool so it worked for us. Breakfast was nice with coffee service, scrambled eggs, scones, toast, cereal, yogurt and the like. The lobby and breakfast room are comfortable spaces.

We later on figured that there was a bunch of kids having a party in the room right above us. I've seen some of them couple times whenever I go down to the lobby to grab my doordash orders. We tried to be understanding and considerate and let them have fun even though we can barely get any sleep. Not to mention that we just had an exhausting flight from Alaska and this is our first visit in St. Louis because of some military business I need to take care of. Around 9:30 o'clock in the evening, noise became worse as it almost seemed like they were purposely jumping and stomping around. Since they are kids and I wasn't sure if there was even any adults watching them. I've decided to come down and talk to the front desk agent to kindly ask if he can check or call that room to tell them to at least turn it down a little bit because they have been causing disturbances for hours --people are trying to sleep. But instead, the front desk clerk rudely told me to go to their room and tell them myself. While I was there, one of the kids came down to get popcorn. The clerk added "there you go, tell him" and laughed. Very unprofessional. I went back to our room and decided to book a different hotel and leave. We had to pack up and leave at 10pm with our toddler. The room cleanliness wasn't already there. Being treated bad was what made our family's whole experience worse. Would rate ZERO stars if I can!

When we were going to bed I pulled the blanket and sheets back to find blood stains on the sheet soaked down to the mattress pad. (Nasty and a health issue). I called front desk where we were brought new bedding. When we unfolded we found another stain on a sheet. I called again and front desk brought us more bedding. He offered a new room but we already unpacked amd were in pajamas. I had to make 2 more calls regarding people on 3rd floor stomping, running and slamming doors which never got resolved. It stopped around midnight and started the next morning around 4 a.m. I got up the next morning to shower and found that 2 of the 3 towels appeared to have blood on them. Also found something red on the carpet with toe prints. My wife and I went down to eat breakfast on 01/31/26. After eating we approached the dayshift clerk a female. We explained our issues with her. She stated she would get us a refund. She stated she would send it to the manager. I told her my wife wanted to shower but since two of them had what looked like blood on them we were out of towels. She went in the back and brought towels to us. I spoke with Experian and an employee by the name of Robert Heinlein. His story and Experians story were different. Experian stated I was being denied a refund with Robert stating he still needed to talk to the manager and that he will be back Wednesday. On 02/04/26 I had to call the manager Jack Leonard. I explained the situation and he didn't seem to care. I told him how nasty it was to have blood on the sheets and on the towels. Jack told me his employee never offered the refund which she did. Jack believed her making me feel like he was calling me a liar. I told him his employee was lying. Jack got upset I was saying that about his employee. I told him when someone lies they are a liar. Jack told me he wasn't doing anything for us because they offered another room. I had to explain to him we wouldn't have needed anything if his cleaning crew weren't putting blood stained sheets on a bed. Jack was less than helpful and just argued with me. The argument got heated and I told him his employee lied and he wasn't much of a manager for this. Jack never apologized for this and made it out it was our fault and not the hotels. I told him review their cameras when we spoke with the employee in question. We will never visit this hotel again and for everyone I would stay away from them. You don't treat customers like this and it's their fault. Just to be clear we never asked for a refund it was offered to us now they are renigging on it. I also filed a complaint with corporate and the BBB will be next.

There was plentiful parking as well since there wasn't a lot of people here. Checking it was an easy process and they had items and their food pantry but their selection was very minimal and Bare Bones and if there was something that you liked it was absolutely expensive. The hotel looks like it went under a remodel recently and it looks great in the lobby and in the hallways but once you're in the room it might be a different story. The shower was poorly put together with a sliding doors one of the doors was stuck the entire time in the shower all the other one nearly fell off the track. It felt like they rushed the remodel. Beds and amenities here are pretty nice. I realize that there was a loud breathing sound and I was trying to figure out where it was coming from. At first it sounds like Darth Vader was around the corner but actually this room has a very loud mini fridge. I had a nice nap so I decided to go downstairs to have some breakfast . It looks like the person that was supposed to make breakfast didn't show up so breakfast was being rushed 30 minutes late . They had some of my favorite selection like the red skin potatoes but the sausage that was made was terrible! Nearly the entire batch was burnt and unedible. Overall, it was not my best stay here.

The hotel's location is a little odd, since you have to take a side road to get in, but the surrounding area felt safe. Check-in was fine, but the wheels on antique looking luggage trolleys didn't work. When we got to our room around 8 pm,, I checked to make sure the shower products were filled, since they often aren't. Sure enough, the shampoo and hair conditioner were there, but also a bottle of body lotion placed inside the shower instead of shower gel which I'm guessing was an honest mistake. The bathroom floor was sticky--not sure if it was from cleaning products or something else, but it definitely didn't feel clean. There was also some musky smell; maybe the room was just dated and old. The TV worked, but the Netflix button on the remote didn't, and it seemed like there were no streaming options, which was disappointing since most Hamptons we've stayed at have already been upgraded with those features. Breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn setup--decent but nothing memorable. Overall, it was an okay stay. The location and staff were fine, but housekeeping really needs to pay attention. Cleanliness is such a big part of a good hotel experience, and that's where this property fell short.

The property is actually on a farm, near a field which was currently mostly flooded. 10 minute drive from Edwardsville, IL, 20 minute drive from St. Louis. Room was very private and comfortable, with a full bed, small living/dining area and kitchenette (studio apartment style), and private bathroom with shower/tub. Many windows and charming quaint decor. The hosts are a retired woman and her adult son - we had a nice chat with the woman, who was super friendly, accommodating, and casual. Prices were reasonable/comparable to other options. They offer a homemade breakfast but we opted to go out instead. The heater in the room has a loud fan, and the house is within earshot of the freeway and railroad tracks so there is some ambient/background noise (but nothing beyond what would occur at usual hotels near freeway). The room has a lot of quaint religious items, such as a print of Jesus above the bed, and little knick-knacks with religious sayings. If this sort of thing bothers you, you won't want to stay here. Although we are not religious, it did not bother us - as I said, the owner was super nice, friendly, easy going, and I think would be easy to talk to regardless of your religious background/beliefs. Free wifi and a fridge stocked with waters and can sodas, plus coffee maker and tea bags. She even left us a snack when we arrived (bowl of fresh grapes, plate of crackers, bowl of spreadable cheese)! Overall a great experience.
