Room (735): Large king room with all the normal appliances including TV, mini-refrigerator, mini-coffee maker, etc. Bed: Decent bed Bathroom: Large bathroom with a nice bathtub for soaking. Lighting in the bathroom was inadequate. Sleep quality: Overall good with minimal noise from hallway and nearby rooms Perks for Marriott status: Points offered at check in and free breakfast buffet in lounge. The breakfast buffet was better than average. Also received late checkout. Also, manager left a note and a snack tray for me in my room. Nice touch to see the arrival gift in my room. Staff: Overall staff was very helpful. Everything except for the bathroom was pretty nice (aesthetically). Which none of that really matters if I get sick from mold. Couldn't believe the amount of mold that was around the bathroom, and had clearly not even been attended to in any way shape or form. The parking is pretty confusing. I ended up paying partially for parking outside, then going inside and explaining it to the woman, but she also said I would get charged by them using cameras, but she didn't know how to contact anybody. She was also not sure where I would get charged or how lol. She was very nice, but not a whole lot made sense. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, and the accommodations were satisfactory. Had an amazing stay! Staff was great. I wouldn't say the front desk goes out of their way to help but the Valets, bar and housekeeping staff are wonderful. Ordered a rollaway and didn't need it. It was never picked up and I didn't realize they charge $15/day for one. So some money wasted on that. But still not worth a complaint. Location was perfect for our needs. This was definitely a fun stay! We stayed here for a night due to a concert nearby. It is super close, within walking distance, to the Enterprise Center, so it worked out quite well! The room was great. The bed was comfortable and there were 4 pillows. I wish the pillows would've been a bit firmer, but they were comfy! The bathroom was very spacious; I loved the separate shower and soaking tub. The hot water at the sink took awhile to get warm, but it wasn't like that in the shower, thankfully. The shower has a nice head, a rain drop head with a detachable wand. Great water pressure too, which is nice! The one bad thing: parking is awful. The parking lot they use costs $40 a night, but it's not even gated or guarded. I'm not sure how the hotel even knows you paid considering you pay at the desk yet they don't ask for tag/make/model. Super odd. Plus, anyone can park in there since it's not monitored at all. It's just odd and definitely WAY too expensive for a lot not even guarded, locked, or maintained. read more

Two MAJOR issues with stay here for a wedding. My friend got married and this was his preferred hotel. 1) check-in was a disaster. The whole wedding was waiting in the lobby until around 5pm. People were highly agitated. I didn't really mind though. Rooms need cleaning and hotels get busy. I'm sure it's a lot to juggle. 2) I rented a suit for the wedding and it came with a prepaid return package. On June 28th I spoke with the front desk and asked if they are able to ship the package out to me. They said absolutely! It's July 5th and started seeing late fees for the return that have now added up to $100. I called the hotel and it's just been sitting there the whole time. I spoke with the supervisor, Tess, who had let me know they don't get picked up unless it gets called in and that it was me that needed to do that, and if I have complaints I could take it up with fedex. I don't know proper process for this but in my eyes if their package pickup requires them to be called in, the front desk should have either called it in, or let me know I need would need to do it myself. I expressed this frustration and Tess said they're not a shipping company and HUNG UP on me. I get that but if the front desk tells me it will be taken care of, I think most people assume it will be. Now by the time it actually makes it to the rental company, I'll probably be out $200. To be fair I when I called back and threatened to email corporate she was nicer and made a half way effort to explain the system to me. I'm still not sure I'm going to take it that far, and this might just be my ignorance for the system and proper procedure for this stuff. Either way, hotel is at a nice location but if service and dependability are important to you, you're not going to find it here. Hanging up on guests is unacceptable especially considering we were on the phone for no more than 2 minutes. read more

Checking in had smiling faces and wished Happy anniversary from front desk staff. Felt like VIP. Down allergies family... Made sure via chat on app it was noted. They informed me whole hotel is down free. Yay!! My reservation was accurate on that !! Table in room non functional as you set something on it and it wobbles off. Unfortunate. Also at check in a napkin of crumbs left in the window sill. Not sure the room was fully cleaned before we got in. Needless to say I have learned a valuable lesson as a platinum bonvoy member. Noted and sent message to staff. This hotel looked new! Smells clean and IS clean. We had a short stay here to visit the. Downtown area. The layout of the king executive suite was great. The lounge on 1st floor bwas pretty cool. (+1 star) Breakfast was pretty decent especially in the lounge.. [Eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, bacon. cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt] The tea/coffee/cappuccino machine was awesome!!! Wish I had one at home!! The food/cleaning staff all very friendly and accommodating (+1stars) This hotel location is easy to find and surrounding area has quite a few food/entertainment options within a short walk or uber ride away. This was a poor experience. From the minute I arrived (quite literally) to the end, I was very ready to leave. I never ever like to leave harsh reviews, but to me, this one deserves it. To set the stage, I arrived and the valet was nowhere to be found. No worries, I was feeling good and glad to be there and went to the front desk to check in. I told them I'm temporarily parked out front and there's no valet, and they assured me there should be someone there. Either way, put my bags up in my room and then went back to see if he had arrived. Boy, had he. He starts yelling at me that I parked my car parallel to the curb instead of perpendicularly. OK. I was calm and expressed that I have never been here, and plan isn't to leave it but that I'd love to valet. He KEEPS going and is raising his voice, basically dressing me down in front of a bunch of other guests. It was getting awkward and tense, and I told him I didn't ask for a lecture, I asked for my car to be parked. He didn't like that, and I didn't want him in my car. I told the front desk about it and they were apologetic, offering me: 1) 10K Bonvoy points (never received, given up on) 2) Free parking for my stay ( had to follow up on) 3) Drink tickets (did receive) As I was walking back from sharing this experience, the valet was coming to the desk and knew I was essentially telling on him and walked aggressively in front of me and cut me off on the way back. So vibes were BAD. To top it off, there was almost nothing open around here. I asked them if they had coffee in the morning and they told me no but there's a Starbucks nearby (it was closed). My room was weird. One towel had dark stains on it and some kind of gnat so it was obviously unclean. I had to use the little hand towels like that scene in Planes Trains & Automobiles. I will say the bed was pretty comfortable. This is out of the hotel's control, but each night I heard street racing, motorcycle groups, sideshows.. come with a white noise machine if you stay here! Lastly, one of the reasons I was going to do valet is because I wanted my car to be somewhere safe. Skip it. The valet lot is the same as the self-park and it's not secure. It's a bit of a mixed bag for this review. I enjoyed my room and loved all the additional space it provided, but checking in was a bit of a mess. I flew into STL and stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. My flight came in and I took a Lyft over from the airport and arrived around 11:30. I did see that check in was usually between 3-4 but with having nowhere else to go, I thought maybe there would be a room available. They said there wasn't but one would be ready shortly. I left for lunch and came back about 1.5 hours later and it still wasn't ready. I had some work so I used the WiFi in the lobby and about another 1.5 hours later, my room was ready. So overall, about 3 hours of waiting for a room on a Wednesday with nothing major happening in the city was weird. Luckily, I really enjoyed the room. The room size was massive. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were actually good which is always an issue when I go to hotels. The bathroom was huge with a rainfall shower and a tub. The backlit mirror was also a nice touch. Besides the check in process being rather disappointing, the room was good. Although when looking for a coffee shop in the morning, it was tough to find in walking distance from here. I would come back here again, but next time I am going to call ahead for my room ETA before I arrive. read more

I had such a great experience at this Westin! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially sous-chef Phil. What a wonderful human being, he made my party feel so welcomed and cared for. As well as bell staff for being so attentive with valet, they were always so quick to pull the car around! We had access to the executive lounge and it was very nice, they always had some snacks and drinks stocked. They had plenty of seating and even some games! They also kept this room chilled, to the point of needing a jacket! As for the breakfast and dinner they served in the lounge, they were good. Day one was potato, bacon, and eggs, plus the other staples including fruit, yogurt, granola, bread, pastries. Day two had waffle, eggs, and sausage plus the staples. The fruit that they put out was so fresh and perfectly ripe! As for dinner they had a meat pasta dish and a vegetarian pasta dish. The vegetarian pasta dish was so cheese and packed with flavor. The noodle were a bit soft but the flavor made up for it. As for the room I had, it had to queen beds that were not too soft and not too firm. The room also came with an essential oil roll on for sleep! It was so lovely, the scent was lavender and chamomile. I thought that was such a nice touch. Plus the room was very clean and spacious. Overall I had a great stay and was very comfortable staying at this hotel. read more

Westin's are typically my favorite marriot hotel line. This Westin was very disappointing. I am a titanium elite member. I booked a king room for 3 nights. When I arrived they had changed my room to 2 queens and said they didn't have any king rooms available. However, there were several king rooms available for the length of my stay on the Marriott app. Not the end of the world but definitely a little frustrating. On the second night of my stay, I had drank both of the complimentary waters they provided so I went down to the hotel shop to buy more. Except, there was no water available for purchase. I asked the concierge if they had any water I could buy. They said no. I was a little shocked and asked again if they had any bottled watered available. They said they ran out of bottled water but could have the hotel staff bring some up to my room. I'm not exactly sure how that makes sense but that's what they told me. Nonetheless, when all was said and done, an hour went by and they brought nothing, so I called the desk again. Another hour went by, nothing. Another hour went by, nothing. All in all took 3.5 hours to get a bottle of water. I find that pretty pathetic for a hotel of this caliber, especially considering I have respectable status with their brand. Nice lobby CONS If you pull into the hotel to register, you will be stuck in line a minimum of 30 minutes. Tiny drive with NO place to park. Go park your car in the lower left under the interstate and walk up. One of the three people working the front desk was untrained and had to keep asking the others for help. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night to attend a concert at Ball Park Village. This hotel was perfect for this event. Our room was clean and ready as soon as we arrived even though we arrived about 30 minutes before our check in time. The staff were welcoming and incredibly friendly. Joel was amazing. He got us checked in quickly, upgraded our room, and gave us vouchers for a FREE drink or appetizer.The hotel was right across the street from Busch Stadium and a short walk from Ball Park Village. The FREE WiFi was fast. The bed was comfortable. No need dongles because there were plenty of USB ports in the room for charging devices. Parking was $50 for valet or $40 for self parking in a flat, guarded lot across the street. If you're attending something at Busch stadium and don't want to hassle with parking or traffic, I'd recommend staying here. My rating: BEST read more

I was here for a wedding reception and overnight stay. It is a "service oriented" hotel. Everyone was kind and accommodating . The rooms are nice, large tub and separate shower. It was also very quiet at night, allowing for a restful sleep. Drinks in the bar were good, but very expensive- $34 for two mixed drinks so be aware when ordering. The food at the reception was a little above average, but the service was well above average. Our room overlooked Ballpark Village, so I believe it would be fun to go back during the summer, watch a ball game, and stay at the hotel. read more

My hubby and I stayed at the Westin in St Louis during our getaway for 3 nights and it was very disappointing. We've stayed at The Westin at other destinations which were very decent, but this one fell short in so many ways. 1. Room: Our toilet didn't flush properly, there was mold in the shower, and there was no duvet cover over the comforter and I highly doubt that they wash the comforter after every hotel stay. I also used the iron and it seemed like there was paint or drywall inside the holes where the steam comes out so as I was ironing my husband's black dress shirt, it got white debris all over it. 2. The front desk staff were not very friendly. I was very surprised as we have experienced the Midwest hospitality in pretty much every other establishment during our visit in St. Louis. And given that The Westin is part of the Marriott group, this was very surprising. 3. After checking out, we did not receive an email receipt with a breakdown of charges. So I had to call their front desk to request for it. I spoke with Joel who gave me the breakdown over the phone and he told me one of the charges were drinks ordered at their hotel bar, Quattro, which we did NOT order. We didn't even dine at their restaurant during our stay there. So, I requested that the charge be removed but he said he couldn't do it and that I had to speak with the restaurant manager. While I was asking him for more details, he cut me off by transferring me to the restaurant voicemail. So, I had to leave a voicemail and track down an email myself to follow up in writing for a charge that WESTIN charged incorrectly. Clearly, he was giving me the runaround. 4. $50 for valet per night with no covered parking garage so all cars are kept outside overnight. Valet service was decent on most days but overpriced for what you get. We opted for it since downtown St Louis is not the safest neighborhood. We would not recommend staying here and will not be returning. read more

Incredibly dissapointing. This lackluster experience started upon check in. 1.) I checked in early, so it was completley understandable that my room was not ready yet. However, the lady at the desk was cold and uncommunicative. I requested a bottled water while I waited for the THREE HOURS for my room to be ready. She refused. I reminded her that it was included in my membership tier, and I would like my water. She told me it was in my room. I told her I would be waiting three hours for my room to be cleaned. She finally relented and gave me two small bottles from behind the desk. I went to the seat, closest to the front desk and waited for my room. 2.) For the next 45 minutes I watched this lady check in multiple families and individuals. Surely if 8 to 10 people were checked in, then perhaps my room was ready?! When I went back up to the desk to inquire if my room was ready, she said it was and that it was my "lucky day" because they had a room "just come open." The hotel was supposed to give me a text or a call when my room was available. I never got it. PRO TIP: If you have to wait at this property to check into a room, check back every 30 minutes to see if it is your lucky day! 3.) The housekeeping staff was amazing. Every time I run into one in the hotel they say hi and ask me how I'm doing. The room is incredibly clean and well kept. Perhaps the lady at the front desk could take lessons from them in hospitality. 4.) The bed is very comfortable. The decorations are outdated, unless they are going for a retro 70s look. Either way, I am not a fan of chocolate wood paneling above the bed or the chocolate wood nightstands and TV stand. 5.) I went to look for coffee first thing in the morning and, like the water, this hotel offers no beverage, free of charged except for the tiny coffee maker in your room. I was told I could purchase coffee when the restaurant opens. Of course I could... But I will not at this point purchase anything additional at this hotel. Also, the room did not come with a microwave. Everything in this hotel is designed to make you spend money at the hotel. 6.) Nowhere on the app or when I checked in was it ever mentioned where the gym is located--there are also no signs around hotel or elevators indicating where it is. Depending on where your room is, you may have to go outside the hotel lobby to access a different part of the hotel. Again, this is something needed to have been verbalized upon check-in, but was not. UPDATE: My bill was wrong. Had to call to get correct bill. Front desk emailed me the wrong data so I spoke with manager who was just as rude as the front desk lady who checked me in. I will be skipping this hotel next stay. read more

My family and I stayed here while visiting to watch a Cardinals baseball game, and it was a fantastic experience. Cozy and spacious rooms, right across the street from Busch (with a view of Busch, too!), fair prices all things considered, and friendly staff. The only downside to our visit was that one of the elevators was broken, so any elevator ride we needed would take at least 10 minutes, but it is what it is. The housekeeping staff needs some serious training. I arrived the first day to find leftover food in my mini fridge, I called the front desk to ask housekeeping to come pick it up. No one came. I ended up throwing everything in the bin by the elevator. 2nd day when we got back to the room, housekeeping had replaced the in-room coffee, but no creamer, no cup, no cup holder and no bottled water. I would like to begin by expressing my appreciation for the Valet team--specifically Jay and Orlando--whose outstanding service and genuine hospitality made a strong positive impression during my stay. Unfortunately, the front-desk experience did not reflect the same level of professionalism. The desk clerk was unhelpful and appeared unwilling to assist in any meaningful way, which set an unexpectedly negative tone for the visit. In addition, the cleanliness of my room was unacceptable. The toilet was visibly dirty, and both the shower and sink drains were clogged and unable to drain properly. The shower drain, in particular, was covered in hair--an issue that should never occur in a hotel of this caliber. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying at the St. Louis Westin. When traveling through St. Louis, I strongly suggest booking a room at the Drury Hotel downtown, where the standards of cleanliness and customer service are consistently higher. Had a 2 night stay at the Westin St Louis. My Marriott status was recognized, Ty at front desk was super professional and helpful. Was upgraded to a large 1.5 bath Executive Suite looking at Busch Field (without asking). 2 for 2 on suite upgrades at this property this year. What I saw of the property was clean and in generally good condition. Suite had ample space and was comfortable. The bed was soft and excellent. Club is still closed, received full breakfast vouchers. This was a status amenity, not everyone will get breakfast vouchers. Restaurant is open weekdays for breakfast 'till 10am and then dinner 4pm-10pm, although on home game nights considerably later. Lunch on weekends only. The menu was decent, nothing really special, but what food I ate was good. They had Blanton's at the bar. Considering how hard it is to find, that's worth noting for bourbon fans. Self park only @ $30 a night "due to covid" when I checked in Monday night, but when I checked out this morning the valet guys were there and the "no valet due to covid" sign was gone. If you have business in or around downtown, or are just here for a game, this property is an excellent choice. read more

Such a great stay-cation get away with my family for my sons's 1st birthday. We originally booked for 2 nights, and had a great room but came with a few maintenance issues. We communicated the issues with the front dest, and Brittney was immediately helpful, with urgency and such a positive attitude. She offered us a new room, Marriott points & made sure that she'd be there if we needed. She is amazing- made out stay 10x more enjoyable. We ended up staying 2 more nights because of amazing hospitality, and wanting to explore Downtown with the kiddos since the hotel location is in such a great spot! I would give it one stars but the Supervisor NADIA saved the day. I got charged TWICE on my credit card for one night because of the incompetence at the front desk. From the moment I checked in there was problems with my reservation. I was fine with that, sometimes technology happens, but the attitude I got from Shayla and two other female front desk employees around 9PM on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Before I got there I spoke with the Westin call center to ask for a late check out and it was granted over the phone. Then when I tried to confirm it upon arrival the ladies at the front desk interrupted 'NO' before I could finish my sentence. I continued to explain that it was granted and after some back and fourth they agreed on 4PM checkout. THEN I checked in again around noon the next day and Shayla had the same response as the ladies during check in. Horrifying customer service. And Shayla even claimed to be the manager!!! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. Shady business practices and fraudulent charges on card. Read the other reviews mentioning billing. People have consistently been billed incorrectly and management refuses to correct it or respond. I understand if it happens once in a while but to have it happen so often and then to not address it? Becomes intentional fraud and consumer harm. If anyone else is having the same issue as me, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and then contact your credit card to dispute the charges, you'll need the receipt and any communications you've had to resolve the overcharge. Good luck. Update 7/28: STILL waiting for a refund. Marriott corporate tells me that the hotel initiated a refund on 7/9 and it would take 14 business days. Well it's been 15 days and nothing. Also never got an communications from the hotel. Marriott customer service has been pretty useless and has told me to wait another 15 business days which puts me past the 60 day IRS requirement for reimbursements. Update 7/1: It's been over two weeks since my initial contact over phone with a manager at Westin. On 6/19 I followed up with an email because I had a feeling something wasn't right. She responded two days later on 6/21 saying the amount was refunded and would take 3-5 business days. I finally see a refund for $47.76 on 6/29 which doesn't equal anything on the bill. I've contacted another rep for clarification and help but we'll see if anything changes. The accounting guy also never called me back. Original post: A billing nightmare. The hotel and stay were fine but being overcharged $250 has pretty much overshadowed my entire stay. I stayed five nights with government rate and was tax exempt. They applied the tax exemption on 3 of the 5 nights. Then they charged me valet parking and taxes on 4 nights when I didn't have a car. Inconsistent shady charges. I'm on day two of trying to get it fixed and need to submit my expense report by the end of the week. Spoke to a manager on day 1 and she said she would have it fixed by the morning with the new adjusted bill emailed out to me. That hasn't happened. I tried calling again today, front desk put me on hold 6 times without greeting (I heard a click and then silence) and I was finally told all the managers were in a meeting. I asked if I could speak to anyone else about a billing error, they transferred me to accounting who also didn't pick up. Hotel was ok. No major issues. Well kept and clean. Some staff was friendly, others just rude and short with you. Housekeeping insisted on knocking and talking to me about departing at 10:25am when checkout was 11am. I had the do not disturb sign on the door so I don't know why they didn't understand that. Also, they figured out my door was locked but proceeded anyhow to keep knocking until I answered. I asked if I was late departing and she proceeded to tell me she just wanted to know when I would leave of which I said "11am... when it's checkout." I had a late flight that day and they were pressuring me to check out early. The bar there is the biggest issue. They will find any way to take your money and then some. It was a daily story of which I won't go into cause of space for this review. Simply put, service was almost nonexistent and the attitude was just rude most of the time. My two cents is to pay cash and close each drink or they will find a way to double charge, add extra charges or just keep your change without asking. This hotel needs to seriously check their food and beverage staff cause it's some of the worst I've seen and I travel more than half the year. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again just because of how that dept runs. read more

Unfortunately, this hotel double-billed me and refused to correct the issue. I prepaid the hotel in full on May 28, and then was billed in full again on June 27. It's a nice hotel, but not worth losing an additional $200 and dealing with the frustration of an organization that is unwilling to help. But I'm quick to forgive! Please just refund the double billing and I will remove this review. read more

I was charged 4 times for the same room, twice before my reservation and twice after. The front desk staff has no idea what's going on and their finance guy doesn't know how to answer his phone or give someone a call back. Don't stay here. read more

I recently stayed at the Westin for 3 nights to attend a conference. From the moment I walked in, the staff was AMAZING!! Keke went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable, as did Keira and Joel. The friendliness and genuine care and concern were unmatched. Overall we enjoyed our stay here! I appreciate that they offer a military discount. We used valet parking and that was really nice. All of the hotel staff were very nice! The room was nice and big, we loved the big bathroom with huge bath tub and glass shower. I wish we had a better view but no big deal. The bed however, ugh! It didnt have a fitted sheet which is about my biggest pet peeve. The flat sheet wasnt big enough to be tucked in. There was a mattress cover thing on the bed but it was just a big piece of material, that also didnt tuck into the bed. The flat sheet on top was rough/starchy so we had to pull it off. The comforter was comfy, but didnt seem big enough. The pillows are feathered, which i hated. I tried calling front desk to ask for a fitted sheet and different pillows but couldnt get through, and i was too lazy to go down lol. We ate in the restaurant, we sat at the bar and service wasnt great, but they were kinda busy and we werent in a hurry so no big deal. Some of our order did get forgotten so it came out late, but we werent charged for it so that was ok. We had the wings and they were good! Also had cheese sticks and the chocolate cake which was delish. The caesar salad came with ranch dressing which was odd. I do wish the hotel was only accessible by guests/key card. After 11pm it is, but id feel better if it always was. There was some sketchy stuff happening Saturday night just right out front, we could see from our window. Cars racing and stopping right in front of hotel doing weird stuff. Also super super loud. Location of the hotel is nice, right across from ballpark village, and close to tin roof and another place we went for brunch called the wheelhouse. The wifi was free which was nice! Breakfast was not complimentary, its just ordered off the restaurant menu. I do hate that you have to pay for parking. Parking is $35 a day or valet is $45. But youre already paying top dollar to stay there, so you shouldnt have to pay to park. read more

Very Nice, Large Rooms, with a Fantastic, Gigantic Window. When I walked in to my room, I was surprised at how spacious the living area and the bathrooms were. I would recommend this place for families visiting St. Louis, because the kids will have enough space to play around in and not fall over each other or you. It was a double-queen room that had lots of room between the furniture and an extra lounge chair. The beds and pillow were comfortable and despite the gigantic windows, it stayed dark in the morning with curtains. The bathroom had separate shower and tub, again, great for kids and adults to take care of business in the morning. Overall, this was a good place for families to stay when visiting St. Louis. The only question is its location and proximity to attractions, so it really depends on why you are visiting St. Louis. read more
