When I saw that Best Buy outsourced an install of a kitchen hub range hood to Best Yet, I immediately looked them up on Yelp. And then I got very worried. I got a message from Best Yet with a new appointment time and to ignore what Best Buy said. Now I was really worried. But it was for nothing. Two installers arrived on time and took a while 10 minutes. They removed the old microwave, tossed it, tossed the boxes from the range hood, protected the stovetop from debris, cleaned up, and tested the range hood to make sure if worked. In 10 minutes. Beware of Best Yet Installation. I bought a gas dryer from Home Depot. Home Depot subcontracts the installation and removal of appliances to Best Yet Installation. Best Yet Installations sent an electrician to install a gas dryer rather than a plumber. The installer said my gas line was not up to code but he could upgrade my electric box for the tune of 800 - 1000 dollars to accommodate an electric dryer. This would mean I would need to switch my already delivered gas dryer for an electric dryer. This I could not do. Since the electrian said my gas line to the dryer didn't have a cutoff valve, I called my plumber to remedy this. The plumber came and said that I did have a cutoff valve, pointed it out to me. The plumber then installed my gas dryer that took all of 10 minutes. I called Best Yet Installations to come get the old dryer which they refused to do. I paid for the installation of the dryer - and removal at the time of purchase. I called Best Yet Installations and they could not tell me why the sent an electrician rather than a plumber to install the gas dryer. They said they couldn't remove the appliance since they did not install the appliance. Home Depot was informed of this situation and could not get any answers to the from Best Yet. First I feel Best Yet Installations was trying to scam me to upgrade my electric box rather than send a plumber to do the job. Second they said they don't get paid if they didn't do the installation. Home Depot said that they already got paid. I would be very wary of hiring anyone from Best Yet Installations. I would never use Best Yet Installations again. read more

We purchased a new oven range through Samsung which includes the installation. They stopped by for about 5-10 minutes, immediately told us it would be $40 to pull a permit and later told us we need 18" of clearance and that we had 17.3" of clearance. After this news, they told me to go shop for an LG with 16" or shop through a local plumber where they do not pull a permits, which i asked "isn't it required for them to pull a permit before they install it?", he said "no, it should be though". I'm pretty sure by law of Commonwealth of MA it is required.. This company is a huge scam and treats customer that either get free installation like crap and charge them with unnecesary charges. After the plumber leaves I measured the clearance from the cabinet to the countertop and it's exactly 18" of clearance, our house was built in 2006 so fairly new and should be up to code with MA standards. We've tried reaching them out several time, no one picks their phone up. On top of that they closed our install case with Samsung and told them the installation was complete, we've been dealing with Samsung support for a full week for a solution to this mess. Showed up on time to install a gas dryer I bought from Best Buy but then said they'd need to install some hammer arrestors on my washing machine. said they'd been failing inspections and have to install them for $100. What inspection? I bought a dryer, not a washing machine. Do towns send out home inspectors when replacing an appliance? Lie. Also said they'd need to replace a gas valve. $240 more bucks for my replacement of a dryer. Expect to part with your money when they show up, it's obviously their plan. read more

They were not reachable by phone despite calling every day and now I have a dishwasher stuck in the middle of my living room. Alex and his assistant Nate Z came out today to measure for a new cooktop and range hood. They were amazing! Alex in particular was the lead and answered all my questions, provided a lot of additional info that I have not been able to get anywhere else (it's a lot of precise measures, and also what sequence to do the electric/plumbing and install, plus replace tiles, etc.-- in short, a complex job). Totally professional, on time, great communicator and most of all really knows the ins and outs. It felt like he really cared to get the job done right. No stars review....12/12/19 purchased a gas dryer from Home Depot/South Bay with a customer agreement to install and remove the old dryer. 2 days later the contractor called to schedule the delivery. The next day the contractor called again, explaining due to the holiday, they needed to reschedule for two weeks later. Delivery made, but the delivery won't remove old dryer. "That's the install contractors' responsibility". Installation crew comes a week later, however they cannot install the dryer because of "code updates". WTF? Gave me an estimated amount of $1500-$1700 for installation. Nope. So all the paid for "parts needed" were useless. And the removal wasn't done. It's a scam. read more

On morning of appointment, Tracy called me left a voicemail saying "We are coming today, if you don't call me back in 5 minutes to confirm I will cancel your appointment and the city will shit off your gas." My story is similar to other people's reviews. They showed up on time however, they refused to install my gas dryer unless I paid over $500 for basic work they completed in about 40 minutes. The delivery person told me that he had to "pull permits" and protect Best Buy from liability, and I could always get a handyman to do the work. In our family we need a clothes dryer. Got screwed and paid several hundred dollars extra to this company and of course got hit with this bill at the end of the job, If they told me upfront the charge (which was grossly inflated) i would have hired a local professional. Call Home Depot and ask for another install company if they land you with this one. Please Please PLEASE do not trust this company!!!! If I could give them a 0 star rating, I would. Not only did they call me yesterday to confirm a 7-9am delivery and installation of a new gas range from Best Buy, but they also called me a few minutes before 9am to confirm and say they would arrive in 20/30 minutes. I wasn't to concerned about the time because the time frame was initially between 7am and 1pm. So we wait and wait and wait in the living room and hours pass. Nothing. I tried calling the number of the gentleman who called me and no answer. I tried calling the company line, the emergency line, every number I could find online and nothing at all. I was so desperate that I sent them a message through their contact form. So then I called Best Buy and they told me these contractors essentially lied and said they tried to deliver and no one was home. All lies because we got our new refrigerator that was delivered today too, and we were waiting and watching since 6:30am in the living room. Long story short, DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR ANY SERVICE!!! I hope they actually do get sent out to my house to redeliver so I can get to the bottom of this whole fiasco! I would have been okay with a late delivery, because many things are out of our control. They are running quite the scam - pulling unnecessary permits and then charging 150% above the actual cost of the permit - forcing unnecessary work under the guise of "it's a new code requirement" but unable to prove it. Then claiming inspection is required after telling the customer it's all set and then threatening with fines and additional costs. Service is so terrible and overpriced that they have a pre written paragraph that they cut and paste on their many 1-star reviews that says the exact same thing accusing their customers of "not doing their homework". It also says "communication is key". Best yet installations would benefit from taking their own advice and communicating with their customers BEFIRE they install a cheap $5 switch in 10 minutes and present the customer with an absurdly overpriced bill. I scheduled removal and installation of a replacement Dryer done earlier from another company representing BestBuy. Reading the reviews of Best Yet Installations you can be sure I was frightened by the prospect of another botched job or worse. I was pleasantly surprised to find a professional crew arrive at the house. They were careful not to scratch the Dryer and the house. The work was done in a timely manner and when it was done everything worked properly. The Washer Dryer room is quite small. The dryer was a bit too close to the light switch. When I asked to have the appliances moved slightly away from the wall they immediately fixed the issue without complaint. I know much of what I described should be assumed. Unfortunately it is not always easy to find both competent workers and workers considerate of ones requests. If this is representative of the company then I suspect there are many more happy customers than the angry ones writing these reviews. read more

Bought a Bosch dishwasher from Home Depot and paid for installation. Tim and Kyle from Best Yet showed up. Very professional. Facemasks, cloth shoe covers, big drop cloth to cover the area in front of dishwasher, neither the old dw or new one touched the floor. They were a little late from scheduled time, but called ahead 1/2 hour before and asked for us to clear out under the sink and locate the dishwasher breaker in our electrical panel before they arrived, and we did both so when they arrived they were all business. Their install was really smooth. They installed a new Ground Fault plug per new state code - no extra charge. They were here less than an hour and left us with a leveled and clean installed unit. Took away the old unit. Easily better than I would expect from a plumber. read more

Fantastic experience with these folks. I bought a new gas range from Best Buy and these guys delivered & installed for me. Brett and Alex arrived on time, were super nice and worked very quickly! When they told me Best Yet also does plumbing, I asked them to take a look at an issue I was having with my washing machine. They told me what they thought the issue was and quoted me $225 for a valve replacement. I called around to some other local plumbers who quoted me between $350-450 for the same job. I called Best Yet immediately to schedule the valve replacement. Dave and Natalie came by first thing the morning of my appointment. They were so much fun to chat with and worked efficiently. I was missing water hammer arresters which they kindly ran to Home Depot to grab and install for me. After they left, Dave was kind enough to answer several questions I had via text. They came to install my dishwasher. They were unprofessional, rude, caused damaged to my property and I was left with no hot water in my kitchen faucet. They didn't own up to the damage, diagnosed the problem incorrectly and didn't even offer to help or apologize. Oh and all of this costed me $400 plus additional dollars for my plumber to come in and fix the mess they created. Please do yourself a favor, stay away! read more

$420 "free installation"?! I just bought a washer and dryer from Best Buy, which supposedly came with "free installation". Best Yet Installations is their installer of choice. They arrived saying they had to install two water hammer valves at $50 each (Home Depot lists them for $10 each) and $40/ft x 8ft of dryer vent hose ($320 for approximately $25 worth of parts). No options. I told them I would do the install - they said they could not do that because they had to test the installation before they left. You have to agree on the spot, with three guys waiting, whether to agree to the fee. Or? Send the units back and hope you get a refund, go shopping again and wait another two weeks for delivery? It is extortion, period. Had they simply said the installation would have cost $420 to begin with, or been clear about the costs, I may have agreed, and not been upset. But this is a hidden cost that amounted to a 25% surcharge on top of the cost of the washer and dryer that amounts to certainly unethical and possibly criminal business practices. They came and did, in the words of National Grid, "one of the worst jobs they'd seen in a while" thus causing a pretty serious gas leak. These guys (Rich, Kyle, and Mike) did a great job installing my new gas dryer from Best Buy. They called about half an hour before they arrived, removed the old dryer, installed the new dryer, reconnected the duct work in the crawl space (including an elbow to get around a drain pipe), cleaned up, and were done after about an hour. They ran the dryer to verify that it was working, and then explained that we should let it run on high for half an hour (which they had set on the "time dry" cycle) to burn off the oil left by the manufacturing process -- although the owner's manual advises you to do this, I probably would not have read the instructions before running an initial load, so -- thanks, guys. read more

I had a vanity installed. It leaked immediately after the plumber left, both of the sinks were clogged. The vanity was leaking everywhere. When contacted on the same day, a Friday they said they would be back on Monday. I waited hours and they never showed up. The soonest after that was 9 days later, which is today Wednesday. He said I was "all set " I noticed that the sinks were not draining, I told him this. His reply "I'm a plumber, not a drain cleaner, two different things" he got in his truck and left!!!! Best Yet proved to be an accurate name. Best Buy arranged to have them come by to install the new dishwasher that we'd ordered last week. Best Yet arrived this morning right on time (actually, a bit early) and were in and out in exactly an hour. I was amazed by how quickly, quietly and efficiently they worked. After the installation, they gave us a tour of our new dishwasher and its features. We were very impressed by their professionalism. read more

Bought a dishwasher from Costco that came with installation included. They arrived and informed me that I needed to have another outlet put in and a permit would need to be taken out . All total, another 325.00 for my free installation. A few things to mention, my house is 18 months old, was built by a highly recommended builder who took out all necessary permits at the time of the build, everything in this house is code and all permits were signed off by the town inspectors. These guys are FOS and will try to rip you off. Thankfully my son-in-law was "allowed" to talk to them and very nicely told them to leave immediately. I don't think Costco will be using them for an install in the future, Costco made it right by giving me a refund of 150.00 to use towards installation by a competent company. Ugh, this company has some serious work to do on communication and professionalism. If I have any future appliance installs and the store contracts with them, I'll decline and find a different company. I ordered a gas dryer from Home Depot and they contracted these guys as their install plumbers. After looking around for a second they said they needed to redo the gas vent and secure the gas line to bring it up to code, and they can't install the dryer without those steps. For $600. What am I supposed to do, have them take it back? So the installation is done, and at the end they mention possibly needing to get my city inspector out to sign off on the work they did...but maybe it won't be necessary. Sure, fine. Two months later I get a voice mail that they've scheduled me for the inspector to come out in a few weeks (today). I take a day off work to make it happen, and get a call from the secretary this morning that the inspector's schedule is full, sorry. When I ask how that's possible since they scheduled this date, the secretary organizing this says they can't schedule with the inspector in advance, they just have to call in the morning to see if there's room. And then she adds, but he has time next week so we can reschedule. None of that makes sense, and now I'm wasting more vacation days trying to get this sorted out. I would avoid doing business with these people, poor communication and professionalism are too much of a headache for your time. read more

They swindled me into getting additional items saying it was required etc... besides the hustle the work was awful. The dryer vent fell off after two days. They left greasy hand prints all over the appliance and walls. I complained to Best Buy and they refunded a portion of the install. They said they were going to look into it. We'll see. This is honestly the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. We have had two installs from Best Buy with them. BOTH botched! We had a gas dryer installs and paid and extra $400 on site to have everything brought up to code. Come to find out our gas dryer was not properly installed to vent outside. Unknown to us until looking into the crawl space by another professional showed us the concern while he was not even near it doing A different job. So unknown to us we have been using this gas dryer and nothing was being vented outside CONCERNING RIGHT???? Well I called the company's emergency line because what should we do? After and hour and 1/2 I finally got a call back in which was I was met with an aggressive rude and highly unprofessional individual. That attacked me that how DARE I think this is important and an emergency?!! And how he was home and in bed and how dare I even call. I mean since when is calling a company to inquire about an issue like this matter deemed CRAZY and that I should be screamed at? I would NEVER use this company again. I honestly couldn't believe someone would speak to me in the manner after that I had to get online and write this review because honestly I'm still fuming. A simple phone call back explaining to not use the dryer and letting us know that someone could come out tom to fix the issue is all that's as needed. So now I'm left to pay and call a normal company that treats customers like humans so I can feel safe to use my gas dryer. BEST YET should pay for this to be fixed . This is a complaint regarding my gas range order and installation. I bought a GE oven and it was scheduled on October 2. A technician from Best Yet Installation(contractor with Bestbuy) came to deliver and install, and he said that I need to reorder my gas oven and gave me a list(all LG oven). He also added that I need to install a millboard above the gas hood to prevent fire hazard. I did as he instructed (returned GE and reordered LG gas oven. The new delivery and installation was scheduled on October 9. One hour after the scheduled time, the truck driver called me and said that his truck was towed and he cannot come on that day. I had to reschedule after I waited for 5 hours. So, I rescheduled the delivery and installation on October 11. The technician came with gas oven but left the oven without installation. Now, he said that I need to install metal shield on the wall. I contacted Best Yet Installation, and they finally promised that they will install the gas oven today. The scheduled time with BestBuy was between 9 and 1 but they said they are coming between 12 and 3. I also found out that I bought installation and haul away together with the gas range, but they canceled haul away service. I asked the technician today to take away my old oven and they did, and installed the gas oven finally. It was a big mess and I cannot believe that buying and installing a gas oven from Bestbuy will be this painful! The technician from Best Yet Installation apologized to me today, but it seems something is very wrong. read more
