It has always been a challenge at this office. If you have a real cold and need an antibiotic, you get "WE have no openings for 2 weeks, that's the soonest". This is the receptionist and has been that way for years, so go to Urgent Care or CVS. CVS gets made your doctor's office won't see you for a cold and they tell you about it as well. Catherine is not there anymore and that was my choice. She is/was a true professional health care provider. They wouldn't say if she was coming back, just "She's be gone a while. At least a couple months now". If you have BHRT and ned a wellness check up for the year find a new provider, go elsewhere. They are arrogant and not professional right down to the nasty CNA in the back. She speaks to you like you're a dumb dog. She even spoke to Catherine that way on one visit. This is not appropriate. But they are good at just filling prescriptions, and that takes no work at all. 10 minutes or less. Oh, be careful! They have an Dr-MD who likes to charge when you come but are late due to the intense traffic buildups in this over priced and under served West Valley region. Beyond rude!!!! I received an email stating that there would be $150 cancellation fee if I didn't show up early to an appointment - which is outside of the billing requirements with BCBS. The email says " there is a $150 cancellation fee for new patients who do not show up at least 30 minutes early". WTH!! I called to get clarification on the appointment time because I'm a new patient - so shouldn't my appointment time some of that and because I am working - with only 45 minutes drive time prior to appointment. Perhaps I could move the appointment later? I have never spoken to somebody somebody with such a bad attitude before. So I decided to cancel the appointment. And when she said " why" I explained that overcharging for late shows and not clarifying appointment times isn't something I can do, she responded "ok..." and while she hung up I heard her say "stupid bitc***" Horrific! The PA will try to talk you into some ritualistic religious cult where they "chant"?!? You can ask over and over about a specific issue and the PA just smiles and stares at you with NO answers, NO follow up ...NO RESULT!! This office provides LAME care, at best. BEST CARE? This office is fantastic and they LISTEN to your concerns and do what they can to help you determine the cause WITHOUT putting you on unnecessary meds. Catherine has a naturopathic approach and provides alternatives to help without medications or in addition to medications which is soo hard to find in a doctors office these days. Izabela is my regular doctor and she is so funny and kind and is always a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough great things about this office. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTISE! This doctor is a complete rip off and fraud. I went as a new patient and did a 10 minute intake with a receptionist. For that Medicare was charge over $700 and I have been charged $185.59 (even though I have Plan G and NO copay) Then after getting my labs done, I was told to come back to review my lab result and be charged again. I declined. They told me that on my third appointment (and charge) I could finally meet a doctor and seek treatment. Does this sound like a Best Practice to you? Save your money and go anywhere else! I came for a simple UTI. I had to see Dr Catherine. After half an hour of obtrusive and irrelevant questions concerning my homelife, childhood, and struggles with mental illness, this woman took out a card and tried to sell me on her Buddhist beliefs. I was told that science could only do so much. That my mental issues meant I did something bad in my past life that I must pay for now. That the more I chanted, the more hope I would have for a better life next time around and it would release some pressure in the interim. I have yet to run this theory by my psychiatrist. Eventually I left with antibiotics and an awareness of my own karmic retribution. No amount of karmic cleansing could get me back. Oh! I went to the office to establish a relationship and have an annual physical. I could only meet with Catherine since the doctor was booked. After explaining some issues, she recommended changing medications. I did and the symptoms became much worse. I went back as a follow up. She changed the medication to my original prescriptions after much discussion with her. I found it difficult to communicate with her. When I actually filled my prescription, she had sent the wrong strength and type to the pharmacy (was supposed to be dissolvable). I gave up. Never going back. read more

Dr. Barbara is one of a kind! She takes time to listen to your concerns and truly cares for your well being. My entire family goes to her. The office is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and prompt! Yessenia always gets refills done with the mail order pharmacy so that we don't get stuck missing a dose or waiting. I have been coming to BestCare Internal Medicine for years. I drive from far just to come to this office. Dr. Barbara and her staff are great! Sometimes getting an appointment with the doctor can be a bit of a wait but her assistant is just as good. They both truly care about your well being. The office is good at making you feel like family! I've had a couple situations where I had to be referred out to specialists but even then they sent me to great doctors who were able to take care of my issues. I started seeing Catherine the NP, she is very attentive and when I came in to see her with my back pain and my hormone issues, she was very helpful in providing me a more natural approach to getting better and sent me to specialists that have really helped me. My mother has a rare, quickly progressing neuro-degenerative disease similar to ALS. In December 2014, we changed insurance carriers during the Medicare supplement enrollment period. At that time we chose Dr. Barbara Bialowolska-Romaniuk at BestCare Internal Medicine as her PCP. In January, when we received her new insurance card, we called the BestCare office to schedule an appointment. Because my mom's diagnosis is so rare, there are no medications or treatments. The only thing she can do to help slow down the progression is therapy and exercise. We needed to see the PCP to get referrals for physical, speech, and occupational therapy as well as to see her neurologist. When I called to schedule the appointment, the soonest they offered an appointment was in March. I explained that all my mom needed was referrals and the importance of continuous therapy. They said they could not get her in sooner. After taking a look at the website I noticed it said "Next day appointments are available. We accept new patients." I called back to ask about the next day appointments. They said next day appointments are only available for established patients and even though there were openings, we needed to wait three months. I was so upset because I knew the impact of waiting three months before being able to schedule therapy. I wrote to the office manager about the website with the misleading message that next day appointments are available even for new patients. Even now, five months later, I have not received a response to my letter. One week before her scheduled appointment in March, my mom got a UTI and yeast infection. We took her to urgent care but needed to follow up with PCP. We called to ask to move up her appointment one week because she was in a lot of pain. They were not able to help. One day before her scheduled appointment in March, the office called to reschedule her appointment that we were waiting for since the beginning of the year because the doctor was going to be out. They were not able to reschedule her until May. I'm not sure why I was surprised, but the morning of her May appointment, we received a call to reschedule again because the doctor needed to cancel. So 5 months later, we have still not met her PCP. I understand that doctors have lives and need to cancel sometimes. I do not understand why in such a situation, a patient cannot be seen within the next few days, especially when next day appointments are available for others. I'm not sure how or why the office operates this way. I would not recommend sending your loved ones or yourself to this office. They did not have compassion when speaking to me and did not apologize for needing to reschedule. We waited 5 months and still have not had the opportunity to see her PCP. If you want to have Buddhism pushed on you instead of medicine then this is the place for you. Among other reasons I came here, I had told Dr. Catherine that I was having a horrible time sleeping, and that I hadn't slept 4 out of 7 days this week. Her treatment plan? She pulled out a card that had some sort of chant on it and told me to repeatedly chant this phrase before bed (figured out the chant was a Buddhist practice) so that it could bring me strength and good health and help me sleep. Asked me if I was raised religious, which was completely inappropriate, and continued to talk about religion instead of actually trying to help me. I came to a doctor for help, I did not come for 'spiritual' guidance. She also brought up the card again before I was going to have surgery, saying that by chanting this phrase it would help my surgery go better. I was also told at one point that they would be able to help me get my disability paperwork filled out that I needed to keep my job, and then when I got there she refused to sign it. She repeatedly threw me around with it between her and my pain management doctor because she didn't want to fill it out, causing me to have a mental breakdown in her office because she wanted to send me back to a different doctor to fill it out (for the 4th time) even though she already said she would help me. Almost everyone was pretty rude and I would recommend never going here. read more

My elderly parents were patients of Dr. Romaniuk-Bialowolska and were very disappointed with her lack of care and timely treatment. On one occasion, one the PA's called my Mother and told her she had cancer. Months later, we found out that wasn't true and the PA had read the diagnosis incorrectly. Often, routine lab results would take weeks to obtain. When copies of those results were requested, the doctor refused to do so. Dr. Romaniuk was often abrupt with us and would mention multiple treatments and diagnosis, but never follow through. In summary, I would not let her treat a snake. read more

I have been going to Bestcare Internal Medicine for the past year, and primarily seeing Catherine Krings the nurse practioner; and a visit or two with Dr.Barbara. All I have to say is WOW! I have never had such amazing care and I have a few chronic conditions that she has been managing so well I forget I have them! Katherine is a very sweet woman and an excellent clinician. It's rare to find this kind of service in the current healthcare climate. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a new doc. Her medical assistant Jill was great with filling my prescriptions right away... what a relief! Dr.B is also wonderful, one of the best listeners and had many amazing conversations with her. The ladies who work the front office are tentative. My only issue is the patient portal could be easier to navigate and use, but this hasn't caused too much of an issue for me. DO NOT GO HERE.... I will tell you why! I have had pelvic pain for months. Dr. Krings ordered an ultrasound but I have no clue what she ordered because apparently it only looked at one ovary instead of both, even my gynecologist said it was a weird order that didn't give her a good view of what was going on. Fast forward to now, I ended up hospitalized for the most excruciating pain of my life in my pelvis, they did a new ultrasound and found I had a HUGE and RUPTURED cyst on my LEFT ovary... literally like 1cm smaller than my ovary, so it has clearly been there at least since the pain started, which was several months before I even started coming to this place. Second horrible experience - I have several painful lumps in my underarms and breasts. Again, she ordered an ultrasound, but never actually saw me in person due to COVID so never examined it. After the results were in, she had me send them photos of me pointing to the location of each lump (??) , then proceeded to tell me it "looks benign" and to update her on any changes. Fine, I guess, but that doesn't really give me an answer of what it exactly is, and that doesn't help the fact that I literally could not sleep on my left side because of the pain these lumps caused me, let alone even touch any of these areas without pain, and they were growing bigger. I expressed this to the assistant(?), Jill, who was EXTREMELY rude and told me "well you're not getting any pain medication, I can tell you that right now". WTF. I don't want pain medication, I WANT AN ANSWER. How unprofessional and rude. Lastly, for digestive issues and dizziness when I eat, Dr. Krings told me I needed to get a supplement called "corocare" or "corocalm", which is only available on a website you have to be a physician to order from and I believe it's a German website, no list of ingredients or anything. Not even a price on it, so who knows how much it cost. Not sure what it was or what it was supposed to do. I'm all for homeopathic remedies, and I'm all for products from Germany, but I really have no clue what that was or how I was supposed to navigate it. Dr. Barbara was supposed to be my doc but I never spoke to her once. This place is horrible. AND ALSO, AFTER READING THE REVIEWS ON HERE, I REALIZED SOMETHING...
