He goes above and beyond to deliver a service that is much higher quality than you get at most gyms. He develops training programs based on the goals we discuss and set together, he combines my training with nutritional planning, and he is a great motivator during our workouts. When he left Equinox at a trainer, it was an easy decision to follow him to Hermosa. During the year I was to turn 40 years old, Shad and I set a goal of getting to 10% body fat without losing any weight to really focus on building lean mass. He put together a kick-ass 8 month plan to build muscle and burn off the belly fat. It was painful passing on beers and bread for 8 months but we hit the goal and Shad did a great job of keeping me motivated and on track. You can't go wrong training with Shad. Great guy, great results. But while he kicks my butt during our workouts, I did leave him in the dust when we went skiing at Mammoth last winter. Shad, I guess skiing is a different kind of training. :)

They offer ready-made meals, every kind of protein drink that you can come up with along with waters a place to sit and rest so you really can't go wrong with this gym. I purchased guest passes so I could bring my son to experience the gym. Instead of being welcoming or professional, the employee openly expressed that he did not like my son and stated that he would refuse to sell me guest passes in the future. I found this behavior completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Guest passes are offered by the gym as a service to members, and personal opinions about a member's family should never influence whether that service is provided. The employee's comments made both my son and me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I expect staff to treat all members and guests with respect, regardless of personal feelings. Management should address this issue and ensure employees maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers.
