So I went to Dee's and the attendant advise me what size machines to put him into to wash and dry him properly. The laundromat was nice, clean, roomy, cozy and of course warm. So I found a corner and put in the machine and camped out for awhile. The machines accept credit cards and coins which is great. The process was so simple and easy and my stuffed draft stopper came out PERFECTLY CLEAN AND DRY. For my 1st time going to Dee's I truly recommend them. This was was nice and the staff was very helpful. Bud is thankful for the wonderful cleaning and treatment from Dee's.

The building and units are bright and clean and very well-lighted. The cost of units was reasonable. The staff was helpful and friendly. Especially helpful was Joanne Zarnoch, who gave us great info and guided us in the process of moving goods from storage. Three and a half years from moving in, it was time for moving out. I acknowledge this and wish to address this in my update.The dryers are very hot and do not take long, though they are not the fastest dryers I have used. The reason for the downgrade is because of the following: 1. This probably speaks more to patrons in Hamden vs. New Haven, but I have found some truly gross things in the washers (used bandaids) and dryers (flossing pick). I know that the night shift attendant does clean the machines as I have seen them do so and they have signs telling people to check their pockets before washing, but I was truly disgusted. 2. lack of mask enforcement while I was here. There is a Black woman attendant who always wears her (double!) mask while working, and everyone generally will too. However, the times when I have seen Nadin here, she wears her mask incorrectly and patrons do whatever they wish with their mask. Examples are set at the top, and if leadership is lax, patrons notice and will follow. I probably would have liked it better pre-Covid but my last visit (when I found all the junk in the machines) rubbed me the wrong way. I will take my chances elsewhere.
