I went in an hour prior to their close...their baked goods on the tables were almost all sold out besides a few stragglers but luckily they had plenty in their cases. As I waited thinking not very many people were going to make their way in quite a few others made their way in. The girls behind the counter were helpful and did not show any annoyance with a sudden rush an hour till close (honestly better than I). I got 2 red velvet cupcakes (back), turtle cupcake (front left) and almond raspberry (front right). AND 2 Betholis. The cupcakes were so moist and the frosting on all of them was so smooth and creamy. My absolute favorite was the raspberry because of the icing tasting like I was eating raspberries!

So there is literally NOTHING that I don't love about Bethel bakery. Their seasonal goodies are my favorite, especially pumpkin season and paczki season goodies! Burnt almond torte is a classic Pittsburgh dessert and I believe Bethel Bakery has one of the best. We love the pumpkin pie cupcakes that are a seasonal item on their menu during the fall, and it's tough to pick a favorite baked good from here considering how much we love everything they have! A recent favorite was the chocolate chip cookie paczki. It's a Polish fried donut with buttercream filling, but get this, the buttercream filling had blended up chocolate chip cookies in it! It was truly a special treat that will be hard to top. Check their Instagram for the weekly paczki flavor. One thing we've appreciated recently about Bethel Bakery is the option for curbside pickup. With a toddler, and with COVID precautions intact we love curbside pickup. Bethel Bakery is a staple in our house, so we'll be back soon!

Such a wonderful bakery! I love their cakes so much. I was surprised when I ordered my birthday cake this year, their prices have gone up substantially. Before, there was no extra charge for personalization but when I placed this years order they originally quoted me something crazy, but the person taking my order worked with me to lower the price and still made my "33" cake lovely!

There's a nice big assortment of baked goods here! My favorite things are the lady locks, chocolate paczkis (when in season), and the white almond cake with raspberry filling. Not crazy about their cookies. Staff are friendly and there is something here for everyone! Really want to try their carrot cake, I cant believe I haven't before!

Bethel Bakery is absolutely the best bakery in Pittsburgh! There is a reason they have been in business for 60 years! I am so glad they opened a second location in North Strabane which is right off of route 19 and easy to get in and out of! I've had Bethel's sweet countless times; I've had it all, but my all time favorite dessert is their burnt almond torte! Service is friendly and the desserts never ever disappoint!

Most of the items I have purchased here all were tasty especially many of the "small bite" pastries. The dough of the doughnuts were less exciting for me but the fillings were generously and tasted fresh. On the last visit, quite a few people were there; I noticed the ladies behind the counter were very patient and waited on each person as the customers picked and chose from a large selection of goodies from the glass display. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was inviting. There could never be too many of these types of business around for me to satisfy my sweet tooth! Recommend.

Bethel created these beautiful rose cupcakes for my friends bridal shower. I have been coming to Bethel for years and have yet to find something I don't like. Some of my old favorites are the snowballs, peanut butter brownies and the tea cookies. We always order the New Years pretzel as well and they are really big and delicious. Can't wait to have them design my wedding shower cake someday!

Three words it's...DEE - LI - COUS... ok. One of the best bakeries around and one of the most EXPENSIVE! Whew! That vanilla frosting on those cupcakes... They don't have a huge selection but what they do have is very good, cakes, cookies, donuts, cupcakes and small pies and bread!

I ordered a small cookie cake, half dozen of chocolate chip cookies, half dozen of half dipped in chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, and pepperoni and cheese rolls. I gave the small cookie cake as a gift and have not heard the review of it. I am not a fan of the chocolate chip cookies. They are a soft cookie. The chocolate was not what I expected. It was not a high quality chocolate, seemed like it had a bit of wax in it. The cookie dough was a bit bland. No hints of butter, salt, or cinnamon. The family did like them though. They had a various assortment of cookies that looked delicious though, and are eager to try something different. The Pepperoni and cheese rolls made up for the cookies. They were well balanced with bread, cheese and pepperoni. The Pepperoni quality was great. Not too much grease. The Italian seasonings complimented the roll. The cashier Beverly was very nice and packaged everything up, and rang me up in a timely fashion.

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Not only are their cakes and pastries delicious, as well as hands down beautifully detail oriented; their attention and dedication to the customer is par none!!! Every time I bring a cake to an event from Bethel people are always so impressed. But I have done so on short notice, no notice, and the staff is more than willing to help me to the best of their ability. No excuses, no rude attitudes, simply trying to always help make your day and event memorable. Make no mistake they are an extremely busy bakery, one of the best in Pittsburgh, but they don't act like the other big bakeries. The bouquet cake I posted was done on three days notice, the purple rosette cake was decorated special in 20 minutes to help my sister when her engagement cake at another location fell though last minutes, my sons batman cake easily fed 60 for a fair price, and the others that were pick up on the spot were perfect. If you need a cake for a special event these people will treat you like family and go out of their way for you!! If you haven't you've got to check them out!!

The best donut I've ever had in my life. This is definitely worth stopping. The very best bakery in Washington County.

Amazing food!! Cakes are moist and delicious. Pepperoni roll was good. It was more of a saucy pepperoni roll but nevertheless great.

They had chicken salad sandwiches and maybe a couple other savory products and then a whole lot of the ho ho cakes. There were some folding tables right when you walked in that had beautiful looking brownies and some breads. I settled on a plump looking blueberry muffin and a ho ho cake. The muffin was so moist, fresh, and definitely worth $2. My friend said the ho ho cake was delicious. The woman working, possibly the owner, was very friendly and was working to keep the place clean as I browsed. Parking is available in the shared lot right outside. Id come back again earlier in the day to see if I can catch some donuts or other sweet items.

This new patisserie/bakery/French savant of pastries was a find that I just had to share. I was returning back to the 'burg for my 40th high school reunion. Over the course ofthe weekend we had a wonderful dinner at the Washing Country Club. When I walked into the banquet room I was immediately drawn to the dessert table, a spread of sweets that looked like Heaven - fifteen different kinds of the most delicious pastries and sweets I could have ever imagined. Sandy, the owner, is a world class baker. She created the entire spread in the 48 hours prior to the event. It was exquisite and delicious. Delicate, whimsical, gold leaf on the chocolate covered strawberries, this woman knows how to make a table of classy sweets. I asked her if she would be open to an order from California, as I was returning back to my home, and wanted to try more of these sweets. She's the real deal, she said point blank: "What I make shouldn't try to travel three thousand miles. They are better here, maybe a couple of hours away, but that's it. These are made to be eaten right here." And she's right. I hope I get back soon to see what she's making next. I envy all you connoisseurs of sweets in the Pittsburgh area -- you have a gold mine!
