Opening soon, bake sale occurring every Saturday and Sunday.
    Rebecca M.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning, while driving by. Linda's is planning to fully open the week of thanksgiving but is currently having a bake sale each Saturday and Sunday. Giant selection; all bakery items were very fresh and affordable. We tried the red velvet gobs, and baklava - both were very good. The people here (I'm assuming owners/family/friends) we're all extremely friendly, and made us want to come back.

The donuts were delicious. Reasonable price sweets. Guy at counter was very nice. I choose the right time to go because it wasn't busy

This new patisserie/bakery/French savant of pastries was a find that I just had to share. I was returning back to the 'burg for my 40th high school reunion. Over the course ofthe weekend we had a wonderful dinner at the Washing Country Club. When I walked into the banquet room I was immediately drawn to the dessert table, a spread of sweets that looked like Heaven - fifteen different kinds of the most delicious pastries and sweets I could have ever imagined. Sandy, the owner, is a world class baker. She created the entire spread in the 48 hours prior to the event. It was exquisite and delicious. Delicate, whimsical, gold leaf on the chocolate covered strawberries, this woman knows how to make a table of classy sweets. I asked her if she would be open to an order from California, as I was returning back to my home, and wanted to try more of these sweets. She's the real deal, she said point blank: "What I make shouldn't try to travel three thousand miles. They are better here, maybe a couple of hours away, but that's it. These are made to be eaten right here." And she's right. I hope I get back soon to see what she's making next. I envy all you connoisseurs of sweets in the Pittsburgh area -- you have a gold mine!

Sandy worked with me to deliver some paleo cookies and muffins after I learned that the recipient was trying to stay low carb before the wedding. The signs in the parking lot adorably said things like, "Donut Lovers Parking Only. Violators will be covered in sprinkles." Inside the store, an employee immediately greeted us, and she patiently waited while we decided what we wanted to buy. The store was small but had enough of a selection to entice us. I saw donuts, turnovers, puffs, brownies, scones, pepperoni rolls, bread loaves, cake pops, gobs, biscotti, several flavors of cookies, cupcakes, and more. The prices were by the half dozen, but we were allowed to choose only one of each item. We bought one ladylock (4 stars), one snickerdoodle cookie (4 stars), one chocolate-chip cookie (4 stars), one apricot cookie (4 stars), one buckeye (5 stars), and one cherry cream horn (4 stars). The total price was about $7.

Whenever I arrived there were people waiting in their cars for the place to open. I took that as a good sign. The bakery itself is small but cozy. It gives you that small town business feel. The ladies that were working were friendly and efficient. They were able to write a message on the cake for me which was great. The cake was very tasty and everyone enjoyed it. They had so many other delicious looking baked goods as well. I'll definitely be back!
