If I could give zero stars, I would. I had my truck towed by Bethel Towing and discovered clear, fresh damage to the fuel tank skid plate and surrounding area immediately after the tow -- consistent with where the tie-down chains were secured. I documented it with photos and followed up directly and professionally with the owner, Ron Jake, expecting a reasonable conversation. Instead, I was met with a barrage of hostility, personal insults, and accusations that I was trying to scam his company. Despite multiple emails presenting evidence and asking for a fair resolution, Ron chose to get combative and dismissive. He even went so far as to claim the damage must have been there already and that I'd simply never looked under my own truck before. (I run a marine construction business. Trust me -- I know my equipment.) Then he tried to shut down all communication while threatening legal action against me for asking him to take responsibility. Let me be clear: This was a simple case of a tow driver using poor chain placement that caused unnecessary damage. Instead of standing behind his business and addressing it like a professional, the owner opted to belittle and stonewall the customer. If you care about your vehicle or your peace of mind, avoid Bethel Towing. Before this review, I should say Rex the driver is amazing! However, the hook-up fee is outrageous and double that of literally any other towing service in the area ($140) compared to ($75). BEST TOW AROUND ! I used them for all my Lifted rigs that need to be towed . These guys actually care. We have been rescued by them three or four times now in the same year and every guy I have got has been amazing. They are so sweet, helpful , it's nice to be able to talk to someone when your stressed . Triple AAA dispatched this company for us and what an absolute nightmare. Father and son duo - Ron & Lance are an absolute crap show. And for 40 years in business, I have no idea how they managed so long with the monstrosity they call customer service. Their driver, as they were pulling our car out of the driveway, damaged and scratched the bottom of my car - exhaust, muffler and damaged my tire. Long story short - they refused to take any responsibility, didn't apologize and told me it wasn't their problem. The father and owner verbatim said, "I don't know why in this day and age I have to have conversation about some scratched metal" LOLOL. Sir. You don't get to damage someone else's property because of negligence on your drivers side and then wonder why the customer is upset. How does this make ANY sense. I have escalated this on all fronts thru Triple AAA and will be reporting them to the Washington State Department of Licensing and will be reaching out to my attorney. Take away the damages, this would have been resolved so quickly and much less painfully for Bethel with a simple apology and a willingness to make it right. They were so clearly worried to losing a buck that they are going to clearly lose more than that. Do. Not. Hire this company if you have a choice! read more

Our car stop running on Old Clifton Road. We called AAA and somehow Bethel Towing called us while we were sitting in our car. They took our information and told us the tow truck driver was on a call and was finishing that up and would come and assist us in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. We waited in the sun for 2 hours and I called Bethel Towing to get an update. I was told we were not on "the board" and they didn't work with AAA, so no one from their business would be coming to help us. I called AAA back and they said someone was coming in about 20 minutes. In about 15 minutes a tow truck driver pulled up...lo and behold it was from Bethel Towing. Just imagine they couldn't help us with a tow, and they didn't work with AAA. I was in a motorcycle accident and was taken to the hospital. Someone called Bethel Towing to take my bike a few miles from Beach Drive in Port Orchard to their location in Port Orchard. They charged me $800.00. I got out of the hospital and checked rates of other tow companies. I found out that I was ripped off. I was in a coma for 5 days and in the hospital for weeks. Cars were flying by and I very quickly realized how many distracted drivers are out there as several nearly brushed the side of my car. Long story short, Kevin arrived with all smiles, sweet conversation, and quick capabilities. Yes, you offered to pay for the damages to our family vehicle five days later after we called your office and reported the incident immediately. You left us two voicemails both promising to pay for the damage and make things right, well yes you paid for the damages, but did you make things right when we asked for you to pay for our rental car on two occasions? No you didn't you did the absolute minimum to pay for your tow truck drivers mistake. Sorry to hear you had to fire the young man. Yes he made a mistake but who's fault is that? Obviously he wasn't trained properly by you nor anyone at Bethel towing on where to put a simple jack when jacking up a car to change a tire. If he would've been trained properly, none of us would be in the situation would we? Since you blatantly ignored our requests to pay for a rental car to get our family around why our car gets repaired we just wanted to simply be done with you we will figure out how to get around on our own. My older Porsche had a convertible issue that was complicating a tow. The driver was helpful, kind and kept a smile on his face and helped resolve this issue before towing. Ten out of ten would not recommend. I drove over a short curb due to poor visibility and was unable to back over it. The tow truck driver would have easily dragged the car laterally to clear the curb instead he decided to tow it over and ripped out the transmission line causing $2000 worth of damage. Had a friend drop their car into s ditch by our house and called AAA - bethel Towing responded - we were notified by text w/in 5 minutes of initial call - the truck is on its way and will be there w/in 40 min - 10 minutes later a text saying be there in 15 - Isaak arrives in 10 - he was terrific - checked the position of the car and attached chains and winch - gave clear and concise instructions to the driver - then pulled the car out of ditch . These guys helped get my car out of trouble when I wasn't even around, I was miles away at work after leaving the car stranded a few nights before. I called them during my lunch break and we set up a pick up, and they were able to take it over to a nearby repair shop that was able to fix up the oil pan that had been ripped open from driving over a big bunch of jagged rocks due to my inferior driving skills after a busy week. When I arrived at the repair shop, I found my car's window was all the way down to the base. I tried to turn on the car and roll it up, but had no luck. Obviously my car's window had been brought down and somehow got off the track that it sits on inside the door panel..Which was frustrating, mainly because I didn't know who did this or who to question regarding the issue. The repair shop said that it came into the shop looking like that, without a window and with flimsy plastic in its place. So I ventured over to Bethel Towing and asked them, and they said that the window seemed to be like that on arrival at the location. I'm not sure who did it, or how, but Bethel Towing said they would help repair it. The manager Alex was nice enough to spend about 5 hours opening up the entire door frame and closing it again, along with installing a new window regulator for the door. Alex only charged for the regulator, which was very cheap, and said that the hours of labor were free of charge. He fixed it up great and it's been working as good as new ever since, so I'm pretty thankful that these guys are around, and that they are as helpful as they are. They're really close to the freeway too which is awesome when you're terrible at following your GPS like me! read more

Considering the circumstances, I had a wonderful experience with Bethel towing. My van broke down at my son's school and a nice man (unsure of his name, but he had a smooth shaved head) was able to help me get my vehicle home and keep my 5 year old entertained as he LOVES tow trucks and it was his first time in one. The man showed my son what the buttons and levers do and my little boy was totally in awe and he put my stressed nerves at ease. Heads up......... Some time ago, I was stuck in a dangerous intersection in a rural area and my lousy insurance tow service had called 'Bethel Towing' for me. So much time went by (2 hrs.) and I had to keep calling Bethel Tow and they had every excuse in the book not to come (and they have several rigs). I had told them to bring a boom truck (3 times!) because my car's rear wheels were locked-up so could not winch up on a flatbed ramp.   After 3 hrs. in the dark, flashers being on so long, battery wearing down, etc. and wondering (when) someone was going to fly over the hill and nail me (sitting 1/2 way in the intersection) they finally showed.., with a FLATBED TRUCK! Couldn't believe it. (Yes I could, they have a horrible rep.). The driver saw the look in my eyes and backing away knew right away that (yet again) they blew it. Driver did not looked shocked or amazed. Told me it was commonplace there. Adios'ed him and quickly found a reputable outfit who got to me in 1/2 hr.   [Bethel T. had also nearly tripled their rate on me once before. (Said) because the tow took so long to hook up. That, was their fault and had to bring in another truck because they brought the wrong one (yes, again). Driver's not very bright bulbs so 'I' had to show them how to do it. Unreal.] (And a lil' heads up) on the ***** ratings. Not sure about what I read on some of these ratings but my experience has shown when I see (in the star ratings) a few, or more'*' (one or two star) ratings and the rest are all 5 star let's face it that is too much of a discrepancy. Bethel was contracted by AAA to help me with a flat tire. The person was supposed to arrive at 5:50, and their app showing his ETA did not change. Almost an hour later I called AAA and they called me back and said the driver's tablet was turned off so it wasn't updating. He apparently was also lost and did not have my number (although AAA had it, and I'm not sure why he spent an hour driving around and didn't call them). When I talked to him he was on our street and wasn't finding our clearly marked address on the driveway. He looked at my flat tire and rather rudely told me that it wasn't flat enough for him to help me change it, so he just left, refusing to even give me the time to call AAA (after waiting now three hours for him). I had to call back AAA and two hours later someone from another company came and was extremely helpful and friendly and we got the wheel swapped within five minutes and got my car back on the road. read more

My car had broken down in Gig Harbor, called AAA at 6:10pm and was told 2-3 hours before Bethel could come out. At 9:20pm I called and was told it would be 45 min but they were on their way. At 9:50pm received a call and told Bethel would be there by 10:33. At 10:10pm again received a call it would be another 45 min!! When I called Bethel, I was told by Jacob "we have been so busy and sometimes calls get pushed". When I asked Jacob how he would feel having his mother or sister stranded for over 4 hours in a dark parking lot he simply hung up the phone! This is unacceptable! I called another towing service and was safely at home before Bethel was said to show. Shame on you Bethel, shame on you. read more
