If you love being verbally abused by guys named Mike and having to fight for warranties to be honored, Trew is the place for you!! And if you have a late model Subaru whose engine you want screwed up badly, run to Trew for your body work needs! I am generously giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because the body work was done satisfactorily. However, there is more to body repair than just replacing parts: there is customer service and being treated respectfully, and there are things under the hood which, if not reinstalled properly, could result in catastrophic engine failure. That is where the 1 star I'd love to give factors in. I have a 2022 Subaru Outback which, when coolant is added after radiator reinstall requires specific protocol--a protocol which Trew seems abysmally unaware. When I picked my car up, I noticed a sound like draining and whooshing water whenever I would accelerate or decelerate. It sounded like a bathtub draining upon a cold start. I brought the car back, and Mike told me, and I quote exactly--"this is a YOU problem. Not an US problem." So, I took it to the Subaru dealership who proved it was a Trew problem, not a me problem. Trew doesn't know what it is doing with more modern Subarus, and their failure to purge the cooling system properly could have resulted in my engine overheating causing damage to the head gaskets. While Trew did pay the Subaru dealership the whopping $175 it cost to properly purge the very large air bubble out of my radiator, the way Mike treated me was absolutely inappropriate, accusatory, unnecessary, and just plain rude. All it would have taken for a 5 star review would have been them taking responsibility for their mistake and not treating me so poorly when I brought my car back for a mistake *they* made. If you have a Subaru, RUN AWAY from Trew. And Trew, if you are reading this, send Mike to anger management or something. He is out of control. read more

I sent my car in to get a little paint job that had been scratched off from another car hitting me. Basically did a walk through of the vehicle was told all these things and somehow after 3 weeks they didn't even repair all the damage even tho I was told they would get rid of all damage and look brand new..... well the whole inside of my front passenger side wasn't even put back together there is panel and part sticking out of just very poorly in place and there still obvious paint damage on my car. So now I will take my car to people who will fully get the job done and know what they are actually doing unlike these people who obviously dont. read more

If you'd like to be belittled in front of an entire office staff and customers this is the place to be! Went in for a quote (without an appointment, but was willing to set one up if the timing wasn't right) for a new bumper for my 2010 Honda Accord and asked if self pay was an option. I didn't necessarily care if the replacement piece would be painted but definitely was in need of a new guard at the very least. After I said I had considered ordering my own parts but just wanted to get a quote in case I was told "I should never order my own parts, because they wouldn't be able to put them on, or verify parts (I wasn't even inferring that they'd be doing the labor) I was then told I came to the wrong place because they "don't cut corners" in regard to me not wanting to get the piece painted. I was quoted $2,300. I then saw a separate mechanic at The Wrench in Silverdale and was quoted $780 for the same work. I have had work done on my car at Trew on at least 2 occasions, I'm not sure why this day was so different. I will not be going back. Not to mention how embarrassing it was to be talked to that way in front of staff and waiting customers. Especially after just getting into an accident that same morning! Their customer service was amazing, which seems so rare these days! The communication from drop off through the repair process to pick up was top-notch, you never wondered where your vehicle was in the process. Would LOVE to give 0 star review. Shop totaled my car within 24 hours of having it dropped off there. Upon disassembly of my hatch, they broke my spoiler and charged it to the insurance claim which caused it to be deemed totaled. They threw out my rear license plate with my tabs on it, threw out my license plate frame that was over that one, completely busted my dash cam, and let my car get towed away without my consent!! $150 dash cam that I asked if I needed to remove, and they assured me no, it's fine. Also, I have footage of before I arrived at the shop, then moving my car around the lot, but for some ODD reason, all of the footage of my car even entering or being in their shop is mysteriously gone. Yet there's still footage of it being taken to the salvage yard WITHOUT my consent. Erik at Trew in Olympia told me he wouldn't let my car leave the lot until I had given verbal consent and gotten all my belongings out of my car. Neither of which happened, and I had to track my car down. Absolute mess and a disaster of a shop. WOULD NOT recommend ever. Watch out for USAA drivers, their insurance make you go to this shop which cannot be trusted!!!!! read more

While I was parked at work, someone opened their door into my driver's side front door. My boyfriend told me that a friend of his had taken his car to Trew Auto Body to get his Impala fixed and they did a great job and didn't charge an arm and a leg. I took my car in for an estimate and they told me that it would run me over $2,700 to repair. I took my car to a Pops-A-Dent place and they fixed it for $150 and you couldn't tell it had been hit. I had my jeep taken to them about 5 years ago for an insurance claim and when it came back I had "extra bolts and nuts" sitting in my ash tray and when I questioned them about it they said as long as everything works I don't need to worry about it and since then I have found out those were to hold my dash in place. Also when they replaced my steering wheel they didn't prevent my clock spring from twisting around so now I have no horn or airbag in my steering wheel until I get that replaced, now I have no headlights either and I took apart my steering column to look at the wiring and my plug is completely broken and glued back together, not to mention IT'S BURNT! Also keep in mind I was in Iraq this whole time and my dad was the one taking care of all of this and they were VERY disrespectful and wouldn't fix my clock spring or put those nuts and bolts back unless we paid them to do so. Very unprofessional they broke it so why should I have to pay for that? It's not my fault! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, I hope they go out of business because the work they did was by far the worst I have ever seen by anyone who calls themselves a professional. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WENT THERE TO DROP OFF MY CAR FOR SCHEDULED WORK TOMORROW, LEFT A HALF HOUR LATER WITH MY CAR.. FIXED... AND WASHED! I don't often leave reviews, however, since I left this business smiling ear to ear from their genuine kindness, I decided I must leave one. I went in this evening to drop my car off for the side mirror replacement that was scheduled for tomorrow. Right away I was greeted and assisted by the kind gals, Siera and Jesse that were working at the front desk. Todd quickly came up to go over the paperwork, grab my keys, jot down my mileage, get a signature, and send me on my way. (He was extremely kind, funny, and a breath of fresh air given the circumstances; it's never fun to have to be without your car for a day/few days to get work done.) As Todd was going through the paperwork he noticed the part that needed to be fixed had come in painted! He and Bob, the Production Leader, began to work their magic. They got their team together to get my side mirror replaced right then and there so that I could just drive it home a few minutes later! You see, they didn't have to do this. It was the end of their shift when I had come in to drop my car off, but they decided to go above and beyond to convenience ME! (I don't know about you, but at the end of my shift... I'm just ready to go home... so this spoke volumes to me.) They worked their magic so quickly, that they even washed my car for me! (It had seagull poo all over.) This all took place within 30 minutes! The entire staff exudes TRUE (or TREW, if you will..) customer service and KINDNESS. At other places, I've felt belittled when explaining what I thought happened and this was the exact opposite of that.
