I had the most incredible experience here. I started with a Swedish style massage with Ursula that was so needed and perfect. I added on a reiki session also with Ursula and it did so much for me. I also did the foot detox which was so interesting and I wished would have provided more details on how to improve the results or reasoning behind the findings. I ended with 30 minutes in the salt cave. My respiratory from just breathing in there was so clear and felt 10x better than before going in. I'll definitely be back for another session soon!

Absolutely lovely. Janine took wonderful care of me and explained everything as it was my first time going to a salt cave. I got lucky and had the whole place to myself. She put on music and there were blankets at every chair. I came looking for relief from lingering congestion and felt relief quickly. For me, the noticiable effects lasted for about a day. The calming atmosphere is enough for me to come back! Wonderful escape.

Meh. I was not impressed. Do not book online. Call first to see if they have discounts. My friends decided to try the salt cave on a Saturday afternoon. Unbeknownst to me, they were unable to book online and just called to reserve a spot. The next day my scheduled cleared and I decided to attend. I was able to book and pay online...cool. When we arrived, we didn't really receive any specific instructions. I only semi knew what to do because I read through some of the reviews before arriving. We checked in with the lady at the front desk and she quoted them a price $10 bucks less than what I paid for online. I was disappointed and voiced my concern and she could care less lol. We were required to put our stuff in the communal locker and take shoes off. I definitely suggest bringing an extra pair of socks. We went into the salt cave and the employee helped us get settled. There were mats on the floor or you could sit in the patio chairs that recline. I decided to sit in one of the reclining chairs and it was semi-comfortable. She then said she was going to lead us into a relaxation technique. She instructed us to breathe deeply twice and then left the room. I was shocked that there was not more direction to help us get into a relaxed state. She did turn on the air thing that is supposed to move salt through the salt around. It wasn't as loud as other reviews have mentioned so I assume that they fixed it. Athough you book for an hour, the whole experience is only 45 minutes. The employee came back to let us know our time was up. I honestly didn't get much out of the experience. I didn't leave feeling refreshed or like is was a mind moving experience. The tea and stuff that was provided was pretty much empty so only a few people were able to enjoy. All in all, it's a no for me. I could have missed this experience and saved my coins. I think customer service needs to improve, there should be some explanation on what you are expected to gain and a more detailed guided exercise to really set the mood.

Since joining Hope Floats, for a monthly membership fee that pays for itself within the first week of each month I've been coming here -- I have lost over fifteen pounds, I have eliminated what-had-been chronic back pain (lower and upper, which I had not even realized until all the pressure in all the joints throughout my body had been alleviated within the first fifteen minutes of my very first session of floatation therapy. The help I have received at Hope Floats for well over a year now has allowed me to maintain a pain-free lifestyle that is only becoming more and more active; however, the physical therapy of floating, along with consistent infrared, full-spectrum sauna, is not even the most important reason I return to Hope Floats. I can meditate when I once never could. In the tank, I have reached states of meditation in which, deprived of any light source within the tank, I see light of variegated tones--most often and most consistency of the purple and white variety. Now, I have wanted to believe others when they told me about their experience with meditation and have listened when they described the transcendental states experienced during such meditation, but I couldn't without experience of my own, which I've found in the floatation therapy offered by the lovely folks at Hope Floats. Lastly, I would not write anything resembling the above review were it not based on 100% lived-experience and seek soothing recovery at Hope Floats. -- Mike K

The salt room was super relaxing and the ambiance is super cool and unique. Detox patches for your feet, special H2O, and heated eye masks help you relax even more! Actually, we had a thai massage that morning which was wonderful, but the chairs are definitely better. It is heated and massages everything from your head, fingers, tushie, and toes! I'm 5'1 and weigh under 100 lbs, the chair worked fine on me. I was worried, but it adjusted once it was turned on. It even stretches your legs out. Insane!!! The supervisor and manager are both extremely knowledgeable and super friendly! They are a new business and are offering specials on Groupon. Call them before you buy on Groupon as they are offering specials directly as well which may be a better deal. My hubby and I are now hooked and will be going at least once a month. The benefits of the salt room are phenomenal. My hubby has sinus and allergy issues. I have eczema, so we get great health benefits from the treatments. The relaxation is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend you give it a try. You will feel the difference in your breathing later that day. I plan on taking some girlfriends for a nice day of relaxation. Facility, cleanliness, customer service, and price are all 5 stars!

I didn't feel any different after the massage and found myself quite disappointed. I got an email from Origins reminding me to leave a review. I responded asking to speak to someone about my experience and after a week, no response. I proceeded to email the email address on the website and gave my feedback. Red light therapy 7/10: The worker was very clear with her instructions. It was a nice 20 minutes away from my phone. Chairs weren't too comfy in this booth. I had some time to sit down with my feet on the salt domes again, drinking my tea. Maaan, I would give the salt domes a 10/10 just by themselves. Beware of the Bait and Switch…read more BUYER BEWARE - this is a bonafide, back in the day, BAIT and SWITCH!!!! I never saw anything like the pictures displayed in the Groupon advertisement. No salt on the floor, no soothing deemed lights, nothing attached to the bucket of water for my feet - NOTHING!!!!! You sit in a small cold room, similar to a basic waiting room. You're asked to remove your shoes and socks. A lady comes in and pours water into a bucket and tells you to let her know if the water is warm enough. The water becomes cold really quickly. There's nothing in the water except a sprinkle of maybe tea (???), not sure.  However there is no aromatherapy of any kind.  She then flips a switch and says something should be coming out of the wall, I'm thinking this is the salt, but nothing ever comes out - just an annoying humming sound. So I'm just sitting there in this ice cold room, with my feet in this now ice cold water, just waiting for my Groupon purchase to happened.  At least 40 minutes pass by and she opens the door - doesn't say a word to me - at this point she's giving a couple a tour of the facility.  I'm now waiting for my second portion of my purchase, which was a 30 minute Salt Box Session for One (the first portion of my purchase was a 30 minute Aromatherapy Foot Bath for one). Back to my horrific adventure. About 10 more minutes pass and she walks in and says, "hey, are you staying with us all day?".  I explain that I didn't know what to expect with this particular portion of the purchase, but I'm not at all fond of my feet sitting in cold water.  So I'll make a mental note to not purchase this again. I also notified her that she opened the door, never said a word to me in regards to next steps.  I then ask, nevertheless, are we now going into another room for the Salt Box session? She says this experience was both the foot bath and the Salt Box session combined in one 30 minute session. I say "You must be kidding me.... the Groupon purchase stated "One 30 Minute Aromatherapy Foot Soak and One 30 Minute Salt Box Session for one person". The bottom line, I sat in this cold room, with my feet in this cold water, for 40 minutes, never saw even a speck of salt?  Are you kidding me right now????"... I ask her about the picture in the ad, explaining that's what "I" paid for, she responds, "oh no - that's another room and another cost".  At this point, I just put on my shoes and socks and prepare to leave (remember she never told me next steps).  To add "salt" to my wound, (pun intended) after I put my socks and shoes on and was heading out the door, she attempt's to hand me a 20% off coupon to use towards my next visit.  LADY!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW???? Bottom line, BUYER BEWARE...

Waldorf Astoria Spa - An Astorianomical Spa Experience…read more I love the Waldorf Astoria Spa. Most spas are judged mainly by ambiance, but the Waldorf's spa excels in service first. I am a regular customer of MT Alison for the 120-minute muscle recovery massage. On my most recent visit, I had severe lower back and hip pain. MT Alison skillfully probed to understand my concerns and needs. She let me help customize my experience by choosing my preferred topical scent, deciding whether to heat the table, and selecting the most comfortable position for my head. She expertly used this information to perform a massage technique that released my trigger points without causing pain or suffering. She also incorporated gentle stretching to relieve tension. I left the session pain-free and relaxed. MT Alison continued to customize the experience by offering a variety of drinks and a warm neck wrap as I left the treatment room. I sipped champagne and snuggled into the soft robe that embraced me in the relaxation area, aptly named The Sanctuary. My nervous system was calmed as I listened to the soothing sounds of the serenity fountain. I enjoyed delicious sweet treats like rich, salted-caramel macarons that melted in my mouth and key lime trail mix that sparked my taste buds with a sweet-and-salty flavor. I sipped refreshing fruit-infused water to rehydrate. MT Alison kept personalizing my experience by periodically returning with a warm neck wrap as the one I was wearing cooled down. I relaxed there for hours, soaking in aromatherapy in peaceful luxury. The spa attendant regularly checked to ensure the table of delectable treats and drinks was fully stocked and that I was comfortable. Eventually, I returned to the luxurious ladies' room to get dressed. The ladies' room was spotless and fully stocked with modern, luxurious amenities. The lockers were easy to operate and had everything I needed for my spa experience. This was truly an Astorianomical spa experience.
