She said that there simply wouldn't be enough time, as the artists & stylists were also assisting her mother, aunts, grandmothers, etc. Stephanie however gave me a great piece of advice "You will only be a MOG (Mother of the Groom) once, so you won't regret it if you hire someone to look your best!" I began searching Yelp for the St Helena area, and after reading the positive reviews of Victoria Wallet, I sent her an email. She responded immediately and suggested that I set up an appointment for a trial session. Unfortunately, I simply did not have the time to do this as I was leaving to attend my nephews wedding in Tuscany, and then hosting relatives from all over the world coming for my son's wedding. We emailed back & forth about the price, date & time of the wedding, location of my hotel etc. I also emailed her photos of myself. We then set up a date & time for us to chat on the phone. She asked what hairstyle I wanted, and I said, " I want an up do chignon that is classy, but I have baby fine hair." Victoria told me to go on Amazon and purchase "ponytail hair extensions". I was so pleased because the hair extensions were the same color as my hair! The day of the event, I was nervous in my hotel room. But Victoria was on time and quickly put me at ease. She assessed the lighting in my hotel room, laid her tools out on the bed and table and set to work! Victoria has incredible talent and an awesome personality. The hair extensions looked so natural - see the photos I posted! Also, I've never had airbrushing before and I really like how it covered and smoothed out my skin without feeling like the makeup was caked on giving a flawless, natural-looking appearance! I also wore false eyelashes for the first time and they looked fabulous! I loved my hair and it stayed up all night. My makeup held up the entire night with the heat and dancing. Recently I got a groupon for a cut and color. The girl who did my hair was a sweet girl but…read moreunfortunately completely ruined my hair by turning it into a bright splotchy orange at my roots and dark brown everywhere else when I was going for a more light ish brown all over (and when I say bright orange I mean BRIGHT ORANGE). They say that they are "color specialist" but my poor orange tiger striped hair begs to differ. Im pretty sure the problem was that she left the dye in too long and applied it unevenly but she just kept insisting that it was because my head was too hot at the top(?). I have no idea how I'm going to fix this because along with horrifically dying my hair, she also managed to turn the texture into coarse straw ( I've never had this happen to this extent before and I haven't dyed /permed my hair in over 2 years) so re-dying doesn't seem like an option unless Id be willing to risk having all my hair just fall out. In conclusion, I hated my experience and I'm having a hard time looking in the mirror... id say I'm above "incredibly upset" and just below "complete meltdown" -___-.
