I was made to feel at ease and that was good since I at the time was feeling pretty lost..my counselor was Marie and she seemed to be able to get to the root or roots of struggles I had been having, she really listened and she was able to help me learn how to work through some thing's and that is calming in itself instead of my mind just hitting a wall and she was a safe place to talk about any issues and I was able to learn more I think about myself to. Life can present thing's that sometimes you just need help to work through and Marie was a blessing for me. I'm glad to have found her office. Dorothy.

I didn't know how to effectively communicate with those that I love. My primary care physician suggested that I give them a try and I am so happy that I did! They not only diagnose, but, they give you tools to help you. I love that they help you to overcome. I highly recommend them if you want help to address and treat anything that can be affecting your true health and happiness in your life! I especially love my at-home treatments with my Euro Trainer machine. I love that I can be treated right in the comfort of my home by telephone when needed. I love that I can go into the office in person on a regular schedule, as every session is enlightening. I love the staff at the font desk too. They are warm and friendly, patient and kind. I have never had to wait in the lobby for my appointment as they keep to my scheduled appointed time. If this all sounds too good to be true, exaggeration is not one of my habits. My life is so much better now and keeps getting even more better. Thank you Cameron Park Counseling Center for everything!

Please beware of "DR" Renfro. My wife and I were having issues so we searched around for a Dr with…read moregood ratings. I had a Chronic Condition that will likely stay with me for the rest of my life that does affect my quality of life, but I'm getting along quite well. My wife was having issues with stress because of it and we needed some counseling. Lori recommended we have individual sessions before having a couples session so we did so. On my first session, she told me that what I told her would be confidential and would not be shared with my wife, so I could let it all go. In light of that, I had told her some things that my wife's family was telling me that I did not want getting back to my wife because it would hurt her relationship with her family. After my wife had her 1 on 1, she came home and started to yell at me about the stuff I had told Lori in confidence. On our next meeting that was both of us with Lori, I asked Lori why she shared these things with my wife. She got angry and said I better not be accusing her of breaking her promise, and that as a Licensed Therapist she would NEVER do such a thing. I then asked my wife where she heard these things, and my wife told Lori it was from her! Lori got even more angry with me because I asked her to explain how this was supposed to work if I did not feel trust in her to keep my secrets when asked. She got even angrier and said she did not think she would be able to help me anymore. I knew she was right and I then walked out of the session, but my wife stayed behind. I knew that Lori getting angry at me was not a good sign. My wife would not talk to me after that night and eventually go hooked on Prescription Medications, and we ended up getting divorced. I just recently found out why! My wife is now sober again, and we are still not together, but we had a long talk about what happened. Starting that night, and the following sessions my wife had with Lori, she told me that Lori told her she should not stay with me anymore. Lori said she was also married to a man that had a Chronic Condition and that it was the best thing she had done to leave her husband because it was too hard on her marriage. She then convinced my wife that she should do the same. She also told my wife that she should go and try to work things out with her ex husband from 10 years prior. This broke my wife's heart and she became even more depressed, so Lori recommended she go to a Psychiatrist. This Psychiatrist proceeded to medicate my wife with some Trial Medications for a few months. During this time, my children told me that my wife was not herself. She started drinking, she was sleeping along side the road because she could not figure out how to get herself home. She even moved in with her ex husband to do what Lori recommended she do and try to work things out. That ended in disaster and now the kids HATE their father. And all this time, the Psychiatrist kept adding more and more pills even though my wife kept telling her she was not feeling right. Neither Lori, nor the Psychiatrist pulled my wife's Driver's License, even though she was clearly out of it. That is alarming. Long story short, BOTH my wife and I completely blame the divorce on Lori. My wife believes Lori was mad at me for calling her out and that's how it all started and my wife was in no condition to know what was happening. That's a VERY dangerous person to have as your counselor. I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. It's now been a few years, but this is all first hand experience, so I thought I should share. Good luck, and I truly hope you find a good counselor for what is hurting you. A good counselor can be a great help, but a bad one can cause more damage than you can imagine.
