I arrived after lunch, around 11am. I spoke to them through an intercom system, and they said they would be with me temporarily. After waiting about 45 minutes of nobody coming out, I waited. The whole time homeless people were outside getting high, and congregating, waiting to use their showers. So I attempted to continue waiting. Some homeless man approached me and told me: you've been standing here for almost an hour just looking around. "If you keep looking my way, I'm gonna stick you" were his remarks. Branding a small pocket knife, I knew that he was serious about his intentions, and had some serious mental issues. So let's just say I didn't stick around. Long story short, if anyone tells you this place might help you, I wouldn't believe it. If you're homeless and need help, definitely use this place as a last resort, and go here at your own risk! Try the Buffalo city mission. It's safer, and people who actually care will help you.

There is documented prof from myself and other members that have been victims of this clubs with the authorities on the facts that are being said in this report . They wonder why old members don't stay and new members don't join or if they do they don't stay either. there are some very nice people in there that have been members for many years unfortunately they are being effected by the ones that are not nice in therein one way or another.. Although the board will tell you it is a friendly club with friends and good times to get you to join it ,Members and some on that are running it and in charge of the club in there have nothing better to to but spread vicious gossip and talk about others and ruin families and friendships then blame innocent people for their actions !. It is truly sad to see what was once a social club that had so many things going for it be ruin this way and come down to this. Attended a paint party at this Elks Lodge last night. I was surprised how big and airy the place…read morewas. I guess I usually think of these type of places as being more dark and a bit dreary. Not here. While waiting for the paint party to start we ordered our drinks. I got a 16 oz Big Ditch Haymaker beer and my friend a large (they ask, large or small) gin and tonic. Our bill was a whopping total of $6. Can't beat that. We also ordered roller dogs. I had never heard of them but it's just the hot dogs cooked on a roller machine. Randy the bartender was great. The whole first floor and courtyard are set up with beer, wine and a few hard liquor choices. There are tastings in each of the three rooms and the courtyard. Some of the tastings are: bruschetta with assorted toppings, Bavarian pretzels with a cheese sauce, a smoked turkey wrap, 4 different wood fired pizzas,macaroni and cheese, several cheese platters, a really beautiful dessert table with mini fruit tarts and chocolate eclairs, Mexican street corn, mini cupcakes, jerk chicken bites, empanadas. Of course the most important part of the evening was hearing an inspirational story from a 17 year survivor and her battle.
