We bought one of the metal pieces with a dancing Hopi Indian on it. The guy that works there is super nice and he took care of shipping our piece back to Seattle for us so that it would arrive when we returned from our vacation. It would be an understatement to say that by the end of the trip this was his favorite place to go! Max taught him about some of the rocks and minerals in the store and we bought an awesome mountain range with several types of rock represented in it. My son also spent his "mad money" for the trip on some smaller stones that Max had. I wanted so many things in his store- I will definitely be back! He dismissed me and immediately told me to get it fixed on my own and it was terrifying. We never complain and have been coming to Vail for 27 years. He should not be in business and you won't find out how savage his customer service skills are until something goes wrong. I am type A, raised to Aerospace Engineers whereby everything is treated w/utmost care and detail. We do things with ethics and kindness. This will be reported to Vail Village and further taken to filing in court bc he needs to be accountable for his business practices. He wasn't even concerned to try to understand where it had come apart and how the design was poorly made. Absolutely arguing the minute the conversation began. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices too - quite reasonable! And the salesman, Ali, was helpful without being pushy. He helped me pick out gifts and jewelry, yet he knew when to walk away and let me decide. The array of handmade lamps, rugs and dishes made the selection process challenging! Everything was beautiful! Because I do not live in Colorado, Ali offered to ship my lamp home for me, at no cost. Be sure to stop in this store when you are in Vail Village.
