The shots are a little too close for comfort in my opinion but it's Labor Day weekend and many people came out to enjoy time with their families and friends. There's a nice walking path where you can also ride bikes. There are picnic tables and a shelter with restrooms. No volleyball nets or sand in this park but it's nice for a little getaway.

Especially the upper level of it, which has the playground. As you wind up the pathway (which is a one way street), you go higher and higher. It brings back old memories when I used to visit Paris mountain in Greenville, SC. Secoundly, picnic areas are all over the park, both in the upper and lower levels, with the biggest one overlooking the lake. And what a large and beautiful lake it is!! Lastly, there is a very well paved pathway that encircles the lake, which provides a 2 mile walk. It's great for anything from alone time to family time.

Because the park was a little off the beaten path, it wasn't super crowded. Everything was clean and in good working condition. All of the other families utilizing the park during our visits were kind, and everything felt very safe. Appreciated the large parking lot and the easy access from I-77. Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, this park makes a great place for the kiddos to burn off some energy and enjoy themselves.

I am not sure if Lincoln County is keeping up the maintenance on it. This park has multiple multi-sport fields with soccer goals and lacrosse nets on hand. There is a 3/4 mile asphalt path around the fields for running/walking. Kids have a small playground with some swings, merry-go-round, two climbing gyms and slides. There are two dog runs one for big and one for small dogs. Both are devoid of grass and need attention. There is a large outdoor picnic shelter with restrooms and water fountains. Last of all the disc golf course created by some Eagle Scouts just off the edge of the north side of the park. It is well conceived but overgrown and not maintained. I have written the county about the minimal maintenance needed to bring this park up to a great place, and I encourage you to do the same. recreation@lincolncounty.org

Make sure you grab a map before you start. The bathroom was nice and clean! There are walking sticks available if you want to use one. At the top was a awesome view and a gazebo to rest. You could see various mountain tops from there. Through out the trail there are benches and picnic tables to rest at. So if you're in the area, stop bye and take a hike!!!!

Rope walks, sliding swings, rope wall, etc. Additionally there are great picnic areas and shelters, grills, and a zip line course. But also a greenway to ride bikes or walk yourself or your pups. And, let's add the multiple baseball fields that are a great place to practice with your peers or your kiddos. I absolutely recommend this gem. Not a whole bunch of shaded areas on playground, and you can smell the dumpsters really strongly in the heat, as they are right at entrance of playground. There isn't an official ballfield here but the open space would work for an informal game. There is plenty of parking and they have a permanent structure with restrooms.
