We were seated on the patio and it was lovely. They had a music duo, an older couple, on guitar doing mostly folk music, and it was very enjoyable. As a non-drinker, the first thing I always look for is a choice of mocktails on the menu. They don't have any. Boo. My husband ordered chianti, and the waiter did his best to have the bartender make me a mocktail. It came with fresh basil, which I liked. We ordered the Polipo Rapini e Patate (octopus appetizer), Spinaci e Caprino (spinach salad), and Parmigiana Melenzane (eggplant parmigiana). Even though the eggplant Parmesan was an appetizer it was plenty of food for my husband for dinner. The octopus was just okay, and the salad was very good. Very nice fruity dressing. Service was pretty good. Took a while to be served, but that's par for the course nowadays.

Enjoyed a lovely evening here one Monday with a former coworker/friend who I had not seen for a few years. The weather was delightful. We told our server that we would be gabbing for quite some time and she could take her time coming to visit us for service. She listened very well and we enjoyed our wine, ravioli servings, then decaf cappuccinos at a very comfortable outside corner table. It was just a perfect evening!

A group of eight of us made a special reservation for Bevardi's Salute to celebrate an evening out after some medical issues. The servers were attentive when we first sat down, bringing requested butter for our bread (a few people didn't want the supplied oil), waters, wines, and so on. Then it came time to order. Somehow the server took 7 people's orders and skipped person 8 so they had to chase him down. On the appetizers, the servers were nice and split an appetizer onto two plates for a couple to easily share. I adore beef carpaccio but this was more like deli meat than a nice thin slicing. Next came the main dishes. The general consensus was that the food was good but not great. The lasagna was OK. The short rib ravioli was OK. Someone had the butternut squash ravioli special and it was bland with tough ravioli. We even passed that dish around for others to try, since a number of us love butternut squash ravioli, and it just wasn't up to standards. I also question the serving of several of the meals in hot skillet pans. I've certainly seen a variety of plate presentations in restaurants over the years, but a hot skillet pan is just hard to eat out of and fairly dangerous. The staff was quite busy by this point and not very attentive to if we had feedback or thoughts. So we just asked for the bills. Items showed up on the wrong peoples' bills but we sorted it out amongst ourselves rather than ask for check redos. All in all, not what we would have expected from Bevardi's Salute. I'll give it four stars since the food was still reasonable, but just not up to the standards we would have thought.

February 14, 2024 - 2 for Valentines Day dinner. Got into VERY long almost 30 minute line for our 7 pm reservation that we were 10 minutes early for. Seated inside on a back room by the bathrooms and kitchen traffic, fairly noisy as well the kitchen noise and many dropped dishes and etc came from the kitchen door near us. (NO ding for these but just FYI.) Service was a little slower than previous, while exceptional when there bit delay on beverages, and entrees staggered out separately bread and first beverage took over 10 minutes. Yeah I know Valentines Day...... but the server had too many tables and the kitchen was behind. (don't take the reservations (obviously overbooked) or staff up? We almost always get the Fungi Porcini and almost got TWO orders. The pasta and the mushroom medley and the sauce are terrific and its cooked properly every time. 10/10 My wife instead tried the Agnolotti a homemade half-moon shaped pasta filled with ricotta cheese and spinach in a light cream sauce. This was WAY too cheesy and saucy and we were reaching for the Lipitor tablets. Heavy butter or oil and fairly salty (overly) as well. The pasta was ok but sort of soggy maybe from the ricotta or maybe it was sitting around.......dunno. Can only speak to the end result. 6/10 Had a great time, parking was no problem and no charge for us. (not telling) So the driver enjoyed the night. We will come back in the off season and not on a date or occasion/holiday night....

This was my fourth dining experience and it continues to be a mixed bag. I had a caprese salad to start and it was pretty good. The tomatoes were nothing special, but the mozzarella fresh. I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was very good. The sauce was excellent and the portion size was generous. However, the issue remains to be the slow service from the kitchen. We waited approximately 45 minutes from our order until the entrees were served! We were only one of 3 tables with patrons

I like the atmosphere here, and the menu choices, it it just isn't the dining experience that works for me. We were a group of 4 and arrived with a reservation and found only one other table occupied. Our server took drink orders and then disappeared, not taking our food order. She finally returned and only one of us ordered a salad and an entree, the rest just an entree. The salad arrived quickly, but then we waited over 30 minutes for the entrees. We only ordered pasta dishes, and there was only one other table of customers. Server was inattentive, never asked if we wanted another glass of wine, how our meals were, etc.

Will return. Mostly outdoor, roofed and open air by the street, with a jazz singer. Ambiance: calm and quiet. Mostly were couples. Service: very good and efficient. Food: very delicious. We'd Trio (tapenade, hummus and ), mussels (they didn't provide a seafood fork) and lasagna, which is one of the better one I've in a while. The stems are above average. We didn't try their dessert - have an opera to catch. Street parking is relatively easy to find.

Salad - light and refreshing! 5 stars Butternut squash bisque - very good! Has clove or cinnamon in it and reminds me of pumpkin pie in liquid form. Good for Thanksgiving! Generous portion as well Turkey meal was solid. The biggest thing I look for is whether the meat is moist as well as the stuffing....and they delivered! Definitely a 4.5 star meal. Just missed that extra flavor kick to give it a full five. Server was friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back soon for an Italian meal.

Four of us popped in for dinner, after a short walk from the concert on the water...early for us, but as it turned out... It was a bit chilly do we opted for a high top in the bar. Turns out there's a happy hour with inexpensive small plates that are actually pretty big. We gorged on some mouthwatering pappardelle with mushroom sauce, a delightful baked brie and apple on toast with jam, and fresh mussels in white wine. Oh - and we discovered the owners 2008 Cabernet from their 90 acre estate in Tuscany- the current release. It was sooo good we split a case. We ate some more apps, shared a few more tastes of vino and another bottle of 08. Our server and manager Matt were superb hosts and we had a blast! The expansive patio and large dining rooms offer ample space for intimate gatherings or large groups. We will be back soon!

The food is absolutely amazing...I would of never had dinner here if it wasn't for their Lido Key beach kitchen.. This evening I had : Starters: Calamari Fritti - Amazingly fresh..to where you could cut it with a fork! Pappardelle Al Funghi Porcini pasta dish ...which was out of this world DELICIOUS! This is a MUST ...possibly the best Italian restaurant on Main!

The moment you enter, you are embraced by a cascade of twinkling fairy lights that shimmer like stardust against a twilight sky. Fresh flowers bloom in every corner, their sweet fragrance mingling with the comforting aroma of steeping tea and freshly baked cakes. The menu is a delightful symphony of flavors, with each dish crafted as if by fairy hands. The tea sandwiches are dainty yet satisfying, their ingredients so fresh they seem to have been gathered from a mystical garden just moments before. The salads are vibrant and bursting with life, each leaf and garnish adding to the overall tapestry of flavors. And, of course, the cakes! The cakes are tiny works of art, each bite a burst of sweetness that leaves you floating on clouds of pure bliss. Even the soups, served in charming little teacups, are more than just a meal--they are comfort and warmth, a gentle embrace on a slow afternoon. Each spoonful is like a chapter in a story you never want to end. In this enchanting restaurant, you don't just dine--you dream. To say that the owner of this enchanting establishment is just as magical as the place she's created would be an understatement. Kathryn is the heart and soul of this fairy-tale haven, a living embodiment of the kindness and beauty that fills every corner of her restaurant. Her presence is like a gentle breeze, warm and soothing, making everyone who walks through the door feel instantly at home. Her generosity is evident not just in the thoughtful touches that make each visit special--like the fresh flowers that greet you at every table or the extra care taken to ensure each dish is perfect--but in the way she treats each guest like an old friend. There's a sweetness in her smile that makes you feel as though you've known her for years, and a gentle warmth in her words that wraps around you like a comforting blanket. She moves with a quiet grace, always attentive, yet never intrusive. Whether she's offering a kind word, making sure your tea is just right, or sharing a delightful story, she does so with a lightness that leaves you feeling cherished and cared for. It's clear that this restaurant is more than just a business to her--it's a labor of love, a place where she pours her heart into every detail. In a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, the owner's presence is a reminder of the beauty of kindness and the power of a generous spirit. She has created not just a restaurant, but a sanctuary--a place where time slows down, and you can savor not just the food, but the warmth of human connection. To dine here is to be touched by her sweetness, and to leave with your heart a little fuller, your day a little brighter. Thank you, Kathryn, for creating such a beautiful safe haven for all who enter. As long as this establishment is standing, I will be there in attendance.

We chose this venue because of it's location in proximity to the wedding (Baker's Ranch), the price, the menu, and mostly because of the room itself and the views of the sunset over the Manatee River. When we first met with Cindi many months ago, she already knew the time of sunset on March 9. That speaks for itself. We set the end of cocktail hour to coincide with that time, and worked everything backwards from there for the rehearsal. The sun cooperated on the day of the event and everything was magical. We choose an open bar, appetizers, and a menu of about five entrees. The food was all very good, but I wouldn't call it excellent. The mahi-mahi was a tad too done. The brisket was close to excellent. I didn't have the island tacos, but heard they were a hit. The coconut shrimp was perfect. So a mix. Appetizers were generous. We selected "premium level" beer and wine and liquor for the bar. Mostly I was happy with that choice - good beer and liquor, except I felt that the Chardonnay options brought it down a notch. We asked for a slightly better Chardonnay, and the best we could get was still not so great. Wine lovers need a little more value in an event like this, and a better white would help to improve the overall value of the premium selection. The venue and the staff are the reason the rating is high. Cindi was very helpful and accommodating from the time we first met in the fall, but really showed her professionalism on the night of the event. She and her team were friendly and helpful, paying attention to detail and flexible in meeting our needs. Big kudos to the staff!
