You are surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants creating a wonderful world away from the busyness of everyday life. The cottage is in the middle the secret garden. The interior creates a whimsical mood that will enchant you and take you back in time. Each course is carefully crafted to your liking and can be adapted to meet the needs of food allergies. The service is spot on and the 1:1 attention to detail will leave you wanting to return with more friends. The owner is simply enchanting and will make you feel like royalty. It's hidden in the open along with art studios and is easy to miss. +++ Ambiance is understated European café with a delightful garden. Their indoor café is charming but it's their Garden Room, an outdoor café that I adore. It's where you could share moments and where time could standstill. Although so different and continents away, yet their GR reminds me of cafe experiences along the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas. Perhaps it's because it's unconventional, shabby chic with scattered planters or it's semi-sheltered from the world beyond the walls. It's perfect for celebratory events, dates and catch up time with friends and even some alone time. ++ Food is better. Mostly, I've gotten their salads as they are fresh, tasty and CLEAN. I recently attended a bridal shower luncheon for my Niece at Shoogie Boogies. My sister wanted it to be special and oh my was it ever. The owner took such great care in making the room so magical with every detail. What a wonderful little beautiful place! My parents/SO and my 2yr old daughter were hungry after going to the Sarasota botanical gardens and we happened upon this gem. The ambiance and setting (typically they do wedding /baby showers) were absolutely magical. They also serve an AMAZING lunch. We didn't have reservations, and just happened to go on a day they didn't have the place (or one of their rooms) reserved for an event. The owner was our server and she was lovely, she took the time to tend to our every need and want and was so nice with my 2yr old, making sure she was well attended to. It is a lovely place with all the crystal, fresh flowers, fairy lights and gorgeous decor spread throughout the teahouse, we were transported to a little oasis away from it all. My mom booked the Garden Room at Shoogie Boogies' for my bridal shower. Katherine was very responsive and worked with our tight schedule to accommodate us! She also served the entire party our meal and was just fantastic about every detail of our gathering. The food was fantastic, with multiple courses - the elderflower prosecco, Mediterranean salad, bite-sized sandwiches, and exquisite desserts (chocolate cake and cheesecake with a strawberry drizzle) were just some of the yummy dishes served. Katherine, who also has a background in professional photography, took some amazing pictures for us as well (see below for some of them). This is our absolute FAVORITE restaurant in Sarasota! The attention to detail, lush botanical beauty, and European sensibilities that Katherine has poured into this gem is truly magical. We went last year for Easter and kicked this year off after New Year's with another lunch. The menu has enough flexibility and flavor for everyone and Katherine is the ultimate, gracious hostess and owner. The full, colorful plates of food, are photo worthy for sure. While I haven't eaten here since the updates, I loved the two times I have eaten here in the past. Walking through the front gate, I felt I was transported to another country. This is one of the most magical, romantic, charming and elegant venues. The energy is so calming and inviting. This was my first visit here and I absolutely looooved it. I can't stop raving about this place. I went with one of my friends, so we had one of the (currently) two "6 guests and under" packages. But, if you go with a group with more than 6 guests, there will be more menu items for you. We opted for the 5 course meal package and we enjoyed every course. The fruit/cheese/cracker display, the salads, quiche and soup, the desserts, the wine/champagne, etc. We loved it! And our names were even written on a card in the flower vase at the table (such a thoughtful and adorable touch). I so look forward to hosting events here in the future with way more guests. Kathryn's (the owner) heart and soul are interwoven with every detail and occurrence here. You can tell how much time, heart and thought she puts into every second that this venue is in operation. She made my best friend and I feel like family and like royalty. The presentation of all of the food items was amazing. The classical music in the background was such a nice touch. The aroma in the restaurant was perfect. Every where that I looked, there was something to feast my eyes on decor-wise. The service was amazing; somehow Kathryn was able to make each guest feel like they were the only person there. My friend and I ended up socializing with other guests while there and they expressed the same feelings as I have written above. It's hidden in Towles Court and only has a tiny side by the road on Morrill that's easy to miss. We went for brunch on Saturday, had a 12:45 reservation. Atmosphere - ADORABLE. A bunch of little tables in the garden with fresh flowers for center pieces. Gallery inside with photography lining the walls, wooden tables and more fresh flowers and plants. Food - Yummy. Smaller portions and not a ton of options, but what we did eat was fantastic. The quiche is great, and I don't normally enjoy quiche. The creamy mushroom soup was the highlight, along with the Mediterranean salad. Service - the owner took great care of us. She told us a little bit about the host of the cafe and her story, and there's a great cliff notes version on the back of the menu too. She brought us champagne to celebrate Valentine's Day and answered all our questions. It's pricey (we spent $60 for two, without tip), but worth it for the experience. We walked over to Hollywood 20 to see a movie right afterward, and we still had room for popcorn! read more

This hidden gem is worth every penny (or large bill in this case)! It is absolutely adorable inside--great for brunch, lunch, and all sorts of gatherings. I loved the feeling of being in a whole new world while sitting down to lunch with a co-worker and vendor of ours. The greenery and natural lighting is amazing! When it comes to drinks, I HIGHLY suggest the "Christmas Over Ice" (or something like that) because it truly is like Christmas--hard to explain, but it was fruity without being too sweet! Went here for my mom's birthday lunch and to be honest I had no idea what I was giving my sister money for. We walk in and are warmly greeted by Katherine the owner who was super friendly and attentive and has a remarkable story of how she arrived at where she is today (it's on the back of the menu to read which totally distracted me from having my order ready!). Anyway, between the appetizers, wine, main course, and dessert, everything was fabulously fresh and delicious and 7 hours later I'm still full. Katherine took time to tell us the cliffs notes version of her story and then patiently listened to each of us share some of our own story. She was great! I've hosted 3 events at Shoogie Boogie's Garden Room...a baby shower for 25, a sprinkle for 12 and a bridal luncheon for 8. Each one was special because of Kathryn's eye for detail and her desire to see guests, at her absolute jewel box of an event space, happy. If you let her just do her thing you won't be disappointed. I've arranged each of these events long distance and have been able to just relax and enjoy myself, instead of worrying about all the details. The guests and honorees all loved everything the space has to offer. The setting was perfect for each of the events, as there are multiple private or semi private spaces.
