This is a great driving school, without them I would not have passed my driving test on the first try. I had three 2 hour lessons before my test, 2 with Gisela and 1 with Yaneri. They are both wonderful instructors and they really helped me with feeling confident in my driving. I've been taking multiple lessons from various instructors that cycle around my limited schedule and they all help tremendously to the best of their abilities. And it's thanks to all their help that I passed my test. My advice when you're a first-timer? Ask questions. A lot of them. Doesn't matter if you think it's dumb or redundant- they're with you to /help/ you. Ask them about how to properly handle the wheel, how to ease up the acceleration/brake so you don't jerk the car around, ask them anything if you got an inkling of doubt that you need to clear up. Also, don't be shy. They're all fun to chat with on the ride. :) P.S. I purchased the 6 hour package back in October and did my first lesson on October 24th with Gisela. Loved Gisela, she had nice control when necessary but mostly let me do my thing; she wasn't overbearing or nervous, she was calm and fun. I texted the office to schedule my second lesson with her only to find out that she no longer works for them, so I schedule it with Sophia. I did not like Sophia at all, first off she was late to my appointment by 20 minutes because she was trapped in a Korean church parking lot while cleaning out the car. She extended the lesson 20 mins so I was able to get my full 2 hours but I did not like how she kept ranting during the lesson about being trapped by the Korean church attendees as she kept pointing out the fact that they're Korean. Throughout the lesson she kept touching my wheel (which wasn't necessary as I don't drift outside of the lane) and she was distracted by her own ranting. I was heading down Vermont and as I'm in the right lane I notice that it's about to end however I can't make the move to merge because she recommended that I listen to her to tell me when I should make moves. She finally comes back to after ranting just to tell me to merge, yeah no ish. So I merge but have a hard time because it's short notice and hazardous because the cars behind me were merging and there was traffic in the left lane already. Her turning technique made my turning worse and the position she had me adjust my seat to was too close to the wheel and uncomfortable. She also asked if Gisela got a ticket while picking me up which is messy and unprofessional on her part because the ticket in question was dated October 25, I never had a lesson on that day. Anyways, my last lesson was with Ray. I loved Ray, we practiced on turns and by the end I was confident in my turns and didn't want the lesson to end. He was calm, chill, yet assertive with control over the car when necessary. He wasn't shy to use that brake on me when needed, very humbling lol. He was kind, fun, and not overbearing with the wheel (he's never had to touch my wheel to help me stay in center on my lane, he only did so when teaching me how to turn.) I tried to buy another 6 hour package and schedule more lessons with Ray only to find out he's gone too. It's time to look for a different school because Sophia and Harry are the only ones available at the moment which sucks but other than that Karen who works the front desk was sweet and responsive. Overall 4/5, however I would've liked to learn how to reverse and park in my third lesson as promised by Gisela, however I feel as though my progress was stunted by Sophia. read more

Very good teaching/classes for a baby new driver. I was very terrified to drive (LA traffic is awful) and so the teachers have been very patient and observe your skills and faults. They really make you feel confident and take in your worries/fears seriously. I had multiple teachers and they have fair teaching and has lots to teach you. I passed my driving test within 24 hrs (4 x6hr lesson plans) Look for Juan, personally think he is the best to be with. read more

Great School... I wasn't sure which school to choose but found them on Google, they had more reviews then other schools.. I took 12 Hrs Driving class and had great experience.. I also use their car for the driving test...Brandon was amazingly patient, I don't know where he gets all that patience.. He was always on time.I learn so much about safe driving and navigating complicated intersections.. I found this place online. They had a website with detailed prices and it was the most economic driving school I could find. I already knew how to drive, but have failed the exam 4 times. I am a very anxious driver and older (25 year old) and never had anyone properly teach me how to drive. Therefore I needed the practice for confidence and brushing up bad habits. I decided to give them a call. Their call system seemed a bit unprofessional. They did not answer the first time I called them. Later when they answered, they did not explain how their packages work, which are 2 hour classes at a time. When I was trying to schedule them, they also seemed a bit unorganized. I am being picky about this since they are a business, but these details are not really important for a driving school. I bought the 6 Hour class package, with pick-up and drop-off at your home. They were able to work around my schedule and I was able to book 6PM to 8PM driving classes on a week day. I really like that they text you to confirm and remind you the day before every class. I took classes with Cecilia (Ceci) who was awesome. She is friendly, attentive, and listened to my driving concerns. She was very patient with teaching a few skills that I needed help on including parallel parking, right turns, u-turns, and checking for oncoming traffic. We drove to Glendale together for some our classes because I wanted to get familiar with the area where I was taking my exam. For the test I also booked their car rental service. I was partnered with Harry who was awesome at helping me with last minute brush ups. He was very direct, but gave really good tips and suggestions. He led me along the Glendale driving route, and he was very familiar with everything. He checked that I was doing everything expected by the DMV including looking over shoulders, scanning, and knowing what to do during all road situations (yellow lines, double lines, etc). I ended up passing with 0 mistakes!! Overall they are a very good school! The instructors know what they're doing and seem to be happy to be at their job. There isn't just one "All Business Extreme Seriousness" personality that has been duplicated over and over again in the hiring process making for a grinding Beverly Driving School experience. The opposite has happened and with specific intent. BDS gets it. Yes, the first sign of how a company really behaves is how they respond to problems. BDS gets a 5 out of 5 stars from me on that one. (My wife enrolled and after one class with a young man who was personable but not too personable, professional and yet not too professional felt confident enough to take the driving test.) We prepped that morning with an eye out for any eventuality. Who could have foreseen a quirk with a horn? There was one small spot that when pressed would not yield even a squeak. Unfortunately my wife picked that spot twice and was summarily sent packing by a seemingly bored DMV employee. Contacting Beverly Driving School brought exclamations I would only expect from immediate family members. They care...How bizarre is that ? Yes, I said they really care. A call was put in and before I could fix my disappointed wife a chocolate milkshake one of the owners called and made a happy customer out of both of us. Its challenging for any business to have an end product of a happy customer when starting from scratch much less when there has been an unforseeable complication. My wife had a different instructor for the test and he is perfect for those who require all business professionalism. Thats what I really like about Beverly Driving School, not only do they speak Spanish and English,but they speak Arabic and Farsi and have the foresight of hiring the key personality types that fit perfectly in all Teacher/Student roles. First of all. I have to say that thank you Harry for giving me professional driving lessons. I had never driven a car before and I always feel that it might be very hard for me to learn how to drive. But in a city like LA, you dont have any choice. So I called Beverly driving school. My instructor Harry was a very cool guy. He was very patient with me while driving. He taught me how to make turns, lane changes, park in a parking lot. He also taught me the hand sign for stop, left turn and right turn. I chose the 6 hr for $220 package. The price for 2 hours is $80. After 6 hours of driving lesson, i feel more comfortable driving on the road than before. I know i still will need a lot practice to get my driver license. This place is HORRIBLE. Dont waste your time or money. They do not care about your safety. They do not care how they talk to you. They don't care how you learn even when you tell them how you learn and the best way to work with you. They do not listen to you. They do not care. The instructor & student picked me up. The student kept driving to her house. I then went to the driver side. NOTE I HAVE TAKEN driver ed/driving lessons before at a different place years ago but I never went for my license until now. I know how to drive. I've driven. I have a college degree & I have 7yrs of customer service experience. So I know what is needed and expected to make the customer happy and I know to listen most importantly respect the student. The instructor was impatient and very argumentive. He only clams down once we got to the office and I start to record. The "boss" was also rude and disrespectful both men ganged up on me. I did get a refund at the end.
