Based on other reviews, I was a little hesitant to use Beverly Glass, but after not receiving a call back from one installer and a hefty quote from another, I decided to try them. I dropped off my curio cabinet door to have the front glass replaced. Because it is curved, they told me no one else offers this service. They said it would be 7-10 working days, which equates to about 14 days. Every time I called, I was told 7-10 more days. After FOUR MONTHS, I picked up my door today. They did NOTHING! They hadn't even removed the broken glass. All it did was collect dust there. Do yourself a favor and find another company to take care of your needs. read more

Beverly Glass replaced a mirror on an 80 year old medicine cabinet and it turned out great. Very happy with quality and price.

Their customer service is absolutely baffling. Marcie was a no-show for the first site visit without any notice. I called to follow up and was told "it was raining" and rescheduled the site visit, which was then completed successfully. Marcie then said that I would get a quote within a week, but I heard nothing for more than two weeks. Since that point (around two months ago) I have called four times, and have been told each time that Marcie would get me a quote by end of day. I understand that contractors are busy at the moment, but Beverly Glass is by far the hardest to get in touch with and the least professional. I have still heard nothing and am now moving on to another company. Cannot opine on the quality of their work or prices, but presumably there is some other company that can do an equivalently good job without the headache of having to chase them down. read more

Called their store late afternoon on Monday requesting 1 piece of badly needed glass for an end table to protect the wood surface. I was advised a price and promised for Wednesday which was the day before the Thanksgiving Holiday. The glass was ready on Wednesday, just as was promised. It fit my wood end table perfectly! We used them for jobs in 3 separate rooms at our house and 2 out of the 3 worked out ok. There was some difficulty and lengthy time in getting to exactly what we wanted but it worked out and the end result I like. However, with a simple powder room mirror with a frame, the amount of issues we came across were unbelievable. At least 2 times to schedule or install and they didn't show, no call. Took over a month to make our mirror. Came to install and the jbox hole was cut incorrectly. They then proceeded to blame it on me when they were the ones who took the measurements. Then didn't show up with the re-cut mirror. Then just completely dropped us all together. Glad we got our frame back and we're getting the work done by someone else. This is NOT how you run a business and with the amount of people I know doing rehabs, I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

Needed some work done so I called for an estimate. Was informed by the person answering the phone, that the estimator would be in later that day to schedule, She will call me after three to schedule a time. At 3:30 the following day, I called back."oh yes, you were my next call!" So she scheduled me for two days later for an estimator to come out between 2:30-3:30. These people cannot manage a simple order. I've been waiting for them to make a simple storm window that MATCHES the screen I brought in. The first 2 copies were the wrong size and the last one had sharp edges. Brilliant. After LOSING a subsequent order, I've waited another 5 weeks (on top of the initial 10 months) for this window to be produced. Usual excuses from Beverly Glass "Service": 1. I don't know where the item is 2. I can't get to where it is stored 3. I'm not sure if it has been made yet Take your pick of the above bs excuses and you'll get an idea of what's in store for you. Of course they are in no hurry to rectify the situation because they have their money. Sound familiar?? There are plenty of other places to buy glass. Hi Yelp community- I am sharing a very poor experience I recently had on the phone with Marcie, a co-owner at this company. During an exploratory call about a bathroom remodel, I spoke with a co-owner during the month of April 2012. Let me tell you, if their service is anywhere near how our conversation went, I can only imagine what further interactions would be like when service is the key ingredient that makes stress a little easier during any type of remodel. Marcie was far from friendly. She was overly abrasive, did not seek understanding with me and continually interrupted me during her domination of the conversation. She was too over bearing and spoke over me (in volume and tone) as a potential customer with nothing invested. This is a bad sign and I was in fact, surprised to experience such antagonistic behavior with the co-owner of a family owned business! Rounding off that conversation, she hung the phone up on me. My part, well I merely said that I am picking up on some tension during our conversation and said "I feel that we are off to a bad start, Marcie" Geez, emotional IQ out the door. We all have bad days; we are human. However, this day left me feeling like I needed to share my story about this place and my experience with the co-owner. This was my first experience with this organization and with Marcie. Perhaps, Marcie had a bad day today, who knows, but the behavior she exhibited was unacceptable and not customer centered. My intent, is to provide just another data point should you wish to do business with this place or even worse catch Marcie on a bad day! read more

Family member strongly recommended Beverly, but we won't be calling again because of time-consuming and baffling customer service. 1) We had to reschedule three times before technician showed up to look at our windows, because he was having "longer-than-expected" work days. 2) Knowledgable guy came out to our house and looked at several windows we wanted to replace. Said we would get a call from the office with the estimate within 48 hours. 3) Week goes by, no call. 4) I call and get an incomplete and confusing estimate from the office. There are estimates for some (not all) of the windows the guy looked at, with caveats about what the ideal (not cheapest) repairs might be. 4) I ask for an estimate in writing, I am told to **come out the office** and pay $35 for something on paper. Let me start by saying I think this review is fair since I've given this company 3 opportunities to service my requests for glass replacement and they dropped the ball 2 out of 3 times. Both times I dealt with Marci and her customer service skills are atrocious! She really has no business working with ppl in general and furthermore treats her employees like garbage. She is rude and condescending which is a dangerous combination when working in the service industry. My most recent bad experience started with a phone call BG at which time Marci answered. I explained that I owned a local painting company and that my crew accidentally broke a glass mirror china cabinet on a job site in Burr Ridge Il. I requested that they send a technician out for an estimate to replace some of the mirror glass. Marci asked me to email her the approx measurement and within 2 days I received a quote to replace the broken pieces. I immediately responded that i wished to move forward with the work and I provided my customer's info so that Marci could call her to schedule the appt. Well, after explaining to my customer that I received an estimate and that Beverly Glass would be calling her to schedule the work, it's been over a week and no further contact from them! I've called Marci and repeatedly emailed her regarding the estimate and no response! Sadly, in the interim I look like an idiot to my customer because Marci refused to do her job and follow through with her estimate! I traveled along way to have a custom made shelf. I was told that it would be done by Friday, which it was not. I still had to wait for the shelf to be done. Well, that is understandable, they where behind schedule. But the lady working in the front desk, was extremely rude and unprofessional, the work was done okay, but that lady has to go. No matter how good is the work , I for one, will never return due to that unprofessionalism, rudeness, and no experience with customer service. Horrible Customer Service. The glass was crooked and jagged. They promised the order but never called to say it was ready because I should be guessing as when it will be done. When I came in to pick it up (first calling in and asking if it is ready for pick up and confirmed) , it wasn't completed because the employee can't read the order form correctly. So I had to come back. Then the lady that works there was giving me attitude about everything THEY have done wrong. I guess the customer is ALWAYS wrong at this place. Don't waste your energy here, it might seem like the cheaper alternative but you'll spend more time dealing with their mistakes and attitude and that is not worth the extra 3 dollars saved. read more

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - - the worst service ever!!!!! they gave me the runaround for two months before I finally swallowed the expense(I paid in advace) and called another company and they replaced the window within 10 days. Take your business elsewhere. I called to get information on having a glass top cut for a dining room table. One of the owners answered the phone. I gave a short detailed description of what I needed and the questions I had. She wouldn't give me any information because I didn't have the exact measurements at hand. My other questions were cut, delivery cost, installation etc.. but she seemed to be very busy and not very accommodating. Her customer service skills were very poor and did not make me want to actually visit the store because of our very unpleasant phone conversation. I understand needing a specialty item has some requirements but she most certainly did not need to have a tone, accommodated by extreme rudeness. Even when I kindly mentioned I felt she was not answering my question, she tried even harder to get me off the phone. When I said, "thank you but I will be taking my business elsewhere" her comment was "awesome". My husband decided to use a local company to order a mirror. This was the first terrible experience we have had using a local company. The so called owner/manager told my husband the mirror would be ready that day - he went there after work and it was not ready. Then she promised him they would call him the next day - no phone call! When he got a hold of the manager/owner again - she told him they would deliver the mirror Monday night - no one called - no one showed up! The next morning I called the store and the manager/owner kept talking over me and did not even care that we waited for them last night and no one called to say they were not going to make the delivery.Yes - they DID NOT make the delivery and DID NOT even call to say they were not going to make it! She did not care that no one even called to say they were not going to make the delivery and then she kept telling me how long they have been in business so I guess just because they have been in business for years then that gives them a right to give crappy customer service. She told me that she never told my husband the mirror was ready so she implied that my husband is a liar since he told me that she said the mirror would be ready and that is why he went by there to pick it up. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience and her response to me was "what inconvenience?" She ended up offering 10% off and told me we had to pick up the mirror by 5:00 pm that day and she was no longer going to have it delivered. This is the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had and I will NOT RECOMMEND doing business with Beverly Glass. There are so many other glass companies out there - use someone else. read more
