She said my building ​ "wouldn't work" because of her sinus problems, I received what I felt like was a hostile exchange when she just first arrives first it was my building wasn't good enough and then she went in to say that she had tons of experience in the supervisor and immediately started dictating how things would be random Sunday ​, and even insisted I had to change grocery stores -- even though Grace had already approved the store I use and confirmed it with the owners. She claimed she was a supervisor and acted like I had to follow her rules, not the other way around. There was no "How can we support you?" It was "This is how it's going to be." And when I said no, the attitude turned hostile, as if I was doing something wrong for expecting basic respect in my own home. A home health aide is supposed to help me, support me, and follow my home rules when there's no safety issue. Instead, Grace Home Care left me stressed, anxious, and without services for nearly a month. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

If it weren't for the copay I would have left. I had to gently coax her into giving me any info on exercises and areas to strengthen. Honestly not worth my time, it's never a good sign when you have to manage low EQ and bad attitude from a healthcare provider. I felt like I had to gentle parent someone who is neither a child nor my responsibility. The receptionist told me since I did my evaluation with this elderly woman I cannot be seen by another PT. Also fair warning it took me 1.5 months to get an initial appointment. They will also ask you to arrive 30 minutes before but keep you waiting. There are a lot of PTs in the area, you can always ask your provider or insurance to refer you to another place!

Elena Vogel was my lactation consultant, Dr. Kolleen Gregory was our infant chiropractor, and Dr. Choi is currently our pediatric dentist. Dr. Nguyen evaluated Adam the morning after I gave birth. He wasn't able to latch all night so she came to the hospital and said he had a tie. I was adamant about breastfeeding so after we were cleared by our doctors, we checked out on the second day and went straight to our appointment with Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi, who did the laser treatment on his tie actually found that it was much tighter than they originally thought, so I'm thankful I did it. It was a few seconds and it was done. Adam cried and truthfully screamed a bit, but stopped the second it was done. He had already settled down by the time he was back in my arms and we went home. The post-op care was heavily stressed by Dr. Nguyen. She was very thorough and careful when explaining how to do his oral stretches. She emphasized that the post-op care wasn't just his mouth, but his whole body. She was so incredibly knowledgeable on how the body functions as a whole and how it all ties together, so the movement and stretching of his mouth and entire body is all important. I'll be honest and say that I didn't want to do any of it because my cooter was healing and I was still in pain from just coming home from giving birth. It was all very fresh. But I looked at my baby and decided I'm his mom and this is my responsibility. Every single day for the next 3 months, I set aside the bare minimum of 5 minutes but realistically it took 15 minutes to do thorough movement for my son. I put in the work. I took videos and sent them to Dr. Nguyen and she would give me feedback. Call me crazy but my son was and is an "easy" baby. Be it a blessing of luck with a combination of effort and work, I see results. He eats a variety of foods, hitting all his milestones, and developing beautifully. When he first attended he was 3yo and nonverbal, showing capacity for speech but not yet using any words. Prior to Teresa we had two other SLPs and the fit and match was never quite right (either with my son nor us as parents). Teresa has been phenomenal from the start - patient, calm, warm, engaging, and incredibly apt in her assessment and interventions with my son. He graduated from speech two months ago and the relationship he built with Teresa is so clear from his fondness of her. He has made tremendous progress, which is evident from going from nonverbal and using sounds to communicate to sentences, correct pronunciation, context, and ongoing conversation. Teresa is knowledgeable, sharp, and creative in the methods she utilizes to engage with my son. Additionally, Rosa (office staff extraordinaire) is so easy to work with and communicative. We have never had issues with scheduling, cancellations, and each visit she is so friendly that my son was disappointed if she wasn't there during a visit. All the staff are generally extremely friendly as we've had some one-off sessions with other providers over the years due to availability. For a very very brief period of time my son also had OT services but the OT therapist left the clinic and they have since stopped taking my insurance for OT. While we are extremely grateful and thankful that my son no longer meets criteria for speech services, we are sad and definitely miss the visits and relationship with Teresa and everyone at SGV speech. When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. She answered all of our questions, which were A LOT! Her confidence and bubbly personality helped us (parents) be calm and trust her experience in the field. The day of the surgery couldn't have gone better. They are very punctual, which is appreciated. They gave her a bear as soon as we arrived. It was her emotional support bear that we were able to take home. They have a group called Child Life Team and they help the little ones cope with their medical experiences. For example, they give my daughter an oxygen mask and applied a chapstick smell she liked. This was to reduce stress when the actual mask would come on. And, they have music therapy! This helped sooo much to distract her and have fun. This was a great way to distract her into taking her calming medicine. Once she left the room, we waited in the lobby and you get a patient id so you can monitor in what stage of the process they are (ex: OR, Recovery, etc). Don't look elsewhere, this is the best place you can take your kiddos for the services they provide.

I was trying to schedule a physical therapy appt for my kiddo and they just would not call back when i needed them to. First week of Jan i call and try to schedule an appt... "oh, we need to check your insurance... we'll call you back". Silence for 1 week, i call back the next week "oh, we aren't done verifying yet we'll call you back". I call back the next week "you're actually not covered". I personally call my insurance and within 5 min, they verify that services are covered. This goes on back and forth with my husband and I and this office until the beginning of Feb in which i get an appt in wi the doctor. This office staff will NOT call you back and you pretty much will have to chase them down yourself. My kid is lucky that i am a healthcare provider and understand how insurances otherwise it would've taken even longer. I wouldn't even have gone here if it were not for a referral from my wonderful pediatrician. Dr Fernando on the other hand, is great to work with. Very professional and super smart. He gives us a lot of tips and ways we can help our kiddo.
