The owner was never warm and friendly. She never talked about my precious Goldendoodle, this was simply business. Several times I brought in plastic bags which she said she needed; not once did she say thank you. The last bath she did not trim the face at all. OMG I finally found a groomer that doesn't complain about my dog and did a fanastic job on my shih tzu. I hate to give such a GREAT review because I never want Beverly Hills Groomer to get too busy that I would have a hard time bringing Cody in for an appointment. This place, run by professionals, was THE find of our month in Sarasota. Had to have the Cavalier Daily cleaned up two weeks ago - I heard of this spa. Yesterday we returned for a bath and cut. Outstanding is one adjective that comes to mind but it took skill and patience to cut our Miss Daily for the rest of our holiday and the trip back to RI. Great spot and highly recommended. I don't know why I've continued to go there this long but the only reason I have is not many close options. Diane is rude period ! There's been one occasional where she called me at 545 asking where I was when they close at 6 like I was late ... They also " close their drawer" at 515-530 and want cash or check after that. Why be open to 6? They also seem to want a firm pick up time. How can you plan your day to the minute ? Once I left debit card at the counter and was on same road and she called and acted like I was a inconvenience to wait under 5 min to come back ! Customer service isn't their strong point for sure. Most days I felt like I was bothering them. Today was the last straw ! I had a death in my family last night and today was my sons birthday party in St Pete so we preferred not to leave the dogs home alone all day. I called yesterday and told Diane that we would be coming for daycare all day plus a bath. Today I had many kids at my home so I asked my busy executive husband to please drive the dogs for me to daycare with my daughter. He does not normally do things like that so he really didn't know what he was doing he walked in drop the dogs off with my daughter and he was on a important business call walking in and was treated poorly ... She was very snippy and short with him and my daughter came home and said how rude they were and my husband separately said the same thing ... for him to comment on something like that means they were very rude. He doesn't want me to come back. I'll drive the extra distance to Camp Bow Wow. When I go there I'm not questioned when I'm going to be back to the minute and they seem happy to see us. read more

My daughter discovered this place approximately four years ago and we have been going there ever since! We now have our own dog that goes there and we think it's great. Very often we use the half day selection which gives us time to get errands or a nice lunch out. We love their grooming and like that we leave our dog there in the morning and she spends the day there and gets groomed during that time - super convenient! We live up north for part of the year and we really wish we had them there too! read more

There are bigger kennels in the area that will fight for your business but this little gem is worth finding. Just off US 41 they have friendly attentive staff that get to know you and your four legged buddies. Unlike other kennels, here your dog spends the day in supervised group play so when you leave them behind you know they are the ones really on vacation. The prices are very reasonable and they do wonderful grooming as well. The dogs do get kennelled up around 6:30 for the night which to me isn't ideal but I take solace in thinking they are probably worn out from a day of play and fun and go right to sleep. It is the only place I take my dogs when they or I need a vacation. read more

I can not even express enough how happy I was bringing my teddy bear Pomeranian into Beverly hills dog for her first puppy grooming, when I made the apt I was told being her first groom, depending on how she did her first time, it might not be a full cut. so when I picked her up, I was so pleasantly surprised that she got the exact teddy bear haircut that I envisioned on her, and that ive seen on pictures of other dogs with the teddy bear haircut online! it was PERFECT!! my dog, FENWAY, looked beutiful, and SMELLED beautiful!!! it was the day before Valentine's day so we got her a Valentine's dress in their adorable shop, amazingly reasonable price, and they had fenway bathed, cut and dressed when we picked her up with a red bow on her head. they sent us home with a goody bag, her first groom picture AND a puppy report card on her visit! she got all A's!!!! If you are anything like my husband and I, our miniature Yorkie, Chester, is an extension of our family. His first visit to Beverly Hills Dog, was for his first "Puppy Cut" grooming. He hated it! The owner P.J. called me to tell me that they had not completed the grooming as they thought it could traumatize him. I was given homework, play with his feet, comb his hair etc so he would get used to the feeling of being groomed. This worked perfectly and the next grooming session worked like a charm! Since then, our little 3.5lb baby has spent many daycare sessions at Beverly Hills and just loves it. He gets excited as soon as we pull up outside. The people are wonderful and the dogs are so well treated. The facility is clean and extremely well organized and run. We would highly recommend Beverly Hills dog for Grooming, Daycare and Boarding. We wouldn't take Chester anywhere else! read more

I have had my Coton de Tulear groomed at many groomers over his 11 years. When I come seasonally to Sarasota I always come to Beverly Hills Dog. They do a much better job than any groomer I have been to in our Ohio home and any of the others I tried here prior to finding them. They do the best job on tear stains of a white breed I have ever seen. I also am very pleased with their boarding services. I wish I had them in Ohio too. read more

I have been using Beverly Hills Dog on a regular basis for the past 2+ years and have been extremely pleased with the care and attention the owner and staff provide my pets. Whether boarding while on vacation, going to doggie day care, or being groomed it has been an exceptional experience --- and I'm persnickety when it comes to my pets (3 dogs and 2 cats). My experience with this business started out positive when I called to set up all 3 of my dogs as clients. They asked for detailed information, including vet records with proof of vaccinations, which I was happy to provide. I have made doctor's appointments for myself in less time, but I understand that this information was requested for the safety of my dog and other animals. I made an appointment for just one of my dogs for 8:30am to have her nails trimmed and glands expressed, so I would have plenty of time to get her home before I needed to get to work. Things very quickly went downhill from there. When I dropped her off, the person at the front desk informed me that I couldn't collect my dog for over 2 1/2 hrs. I had made it clear the day before that I needed to get to work and made the early appointment for that reason. The staff should have informed me that "appointment" really meant "drop off time". There is no reason to keep my dog in a cage for 2 1/2 hours just to have her nails trimmed. The staff's response to this was that "there were a lot of other dogs waiting". I will be taking my 3 dogs elsewhere. read more
