one month after surgery and he went to get a haircut

Just wanted to share my experience with Beverly Pet Clinic ~ thank you so much for everything you've done for Milo! The staff here are wonderful and making an appointment is easy. Milo recently had surgery due to an accidental injury and a little over a month afterwards he's walking normally and is back to himself! He's also had his dental work done here and his teeth look great. Communication is great which I appreciate and his records are always up to date. They also accept insurance :)

Always enjoy my time coming to see Dr. Woo - although its upsetting to be needing to visit her. Regardless, making appointments are very easy with her super staff team Dr. Woo's thorough examination, detailed explanation and suggestions are always appreciated. Can't thank her team enough! Unlike some vets, and even people doctors, she is always SUGGESTIVE with her treatment plan and transparent regarding the cost. I feel comfortable giving her staff a call to easily obtain treatment/examination costs prior to my visit. This way I can always walk in without any scares regarding costs. When my baby cat had eye discharge problems, Dr, Woo gave her a good examination and suggested a few tests. However, it was bit expensive for me at the time and I was able to easily decline without an issue. A few months later, the same issue re-occurred, and because this is a reoccurring issue, she again suggested the test. I was able to think about it and agree to this test. I think all pet owners know that medical care for your pet is expensive. But I think of it as I am paying premium for my cat that couldn't tell me she was sick. I am just glad Dr. Woo is around the corner to help identify things that I could not. Much appreciation to her and her team.

Our family are big fans of Dr. Woo and the entire team at Beverly Pet Clinic. We first became impressed with Dr. Woo's expertise when one of our dogs was spayed--her suturing was much neater than what we had seen in previous experiences, and the recovery was remarkably quick. When Dr. Woo left the veterinary clinic we used to visit, we lost touch with her. Determined to find her again, we searched various veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. Eventually, we discovered that she had opened her own clinic--and our search truly paid off. Later, Dr. Woo saved one of our dog's lives when no one else could figure out what was wrong. It turned out our dog had a rare genetic condition that left her with only a slim chance of survival. Thanks to Dr. Woo's insight and care, she pulled through. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her as the veterinarian for our four-legged family members.

i've never seen a vet who was so petty to pull this kind of ridiculous thing to go so far as blocking my number, just because i didn't think dr. woo was competent enough to perform ANESTHETIC dental work on two of my less than 5lbs due to the reviews/rumors i heard around town about her (reason for canceling the anesthesia dental cleaning they've mentioned) she's made inappropriate jokes about how my dogs private part was too big, laughed & dismissed his issue when the appropriate diagnosis was paraphimosis. super inappropriate and perverted. (added the proof that she called my dogs private part too big) listen to the other bad reviews. they check out.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU CALL THEM. Unfortunately, the horrible reviews are true. I was hoping to find a new vet for my two dogs (14 & 2), because their long-time veterinarian retired and closed his practice (Larchmont Animal Clinic). It was my first time going to Beverly Pet, and I accidentally went to the wrong clinic- Beverly Animal- on the same street. My fault. I called them and told them what happened and I was on my way, but they said I'd be charged ANOTHER $75 and would have to take my place as a walk-in client. I had an appointment and had already paid them $150 (2x $75 for my two dogs). This is required before they will even see you. So, understandably, I lost my $75 "deposit" for the appointment I was going to be late for. My fault. No problem. But then I asked for a refund of the second $75 deposit I had already paid for Gracie- an appointment we had not even booked yet. THE VET SAID I COULD TAKE IT UP WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY. I told her she could keep her money. Her website says, "I'll treat your pet like my own". Well, I really feel sorry for her pets , if she even has any. I'm so glad I found this out before actually taking my two dogs to her. It was worth $150 to NOT expose my dogs to her. Lesson learned.

Dr. Woo is my vet and have nothing but good things to say. Her staff are amazing and have been nothing but kind to my dog. We had a scare with our soon to be 3 year old Samoyed. We had taken him in initially for a what seemed to be Kennel Cough but after subsequent blood tests, it was clear his liver was not performing. It was a harrowing three weeks of treatments but Dr. Woo was consistently on top of his treatment. Our pups liver enzyme values were off the charts. ALT enzyme levels exceeding 3500. He was not eating and extremely lethargic. After daily checkins with Dr. Woo and consistent monitoring, her and her team treated our pup with daily IV treatments to support his liver and pretty much saved our pups life. Today, he's back to normal, with liver values all back to normal! If you are looking for a vet who is knowledgeable, I could not recommend her enough.

Great vet clinic. I used to go to Shatto Vet on Vermont, but for the last year, I wasn't able to get an appointment sooner than two weeks out. This place got my dog in as a new patient within two days of calling. It doesn't seem like much outside, but inside it's modern & clean, and the staff is nice. I really like the Veterinarian-- she was knowledgeable and very sweet to my dog. *$60 non-refundable deposit is required to book your appointment, but it covers the cost of the consultation *free parking in small lot

This is the rude woman that hung up on me.

Literally the most disrespectful staff I've ever encountered for a VET's office that's supposed to be taking care of your loved one when there's issues. Horrible service, have brought my dog here twice -- first time was ok, second time it was a mess. They over charged, especially when comparing to local vets and over prescribed. Also their staff was extremely RUDE. I was hung up on and when I called back they kept answering and putting me on hold without even speaking to me. I've never experienced this kind of blatant disrespect from a service I'm paying (and overpaying) for. They clearly do not care about our pets I wish I could give 0 stars.

We kept coming back for the convenient location--until today. I arrived 15 minutes early for my dog's 2:30 PM appointment. At check-in, the front desk (Crystal) asked me to prepay, which was new to me. When I asked what services were included, she said only vaccines. I had previously requested microchipping a week ago, but that wasn't noted. She mentioned a 3 PM cancellation slot, but I told her to hold off since I couldn't stay much longer. After waiting over an hour, I asked a different tech about the delay. Then Crystal blurted she had moved my appointment to 3 PM to include all services--something she NEVER communicated; which I pointed out to her, I asked to speak with a supervisor and continued waiting. We were finally taken to a room, and 15 minutes later (total of 1hr 15min LATER) , the doctor entered and accused *ME* of being disrespectful to her staff--which is completely FALSE. I believe the front staff member BLATANTLY LIED to cover her own condescending and unprofessional behavior. I was upfront with the doctor and encouraged her to review the cameras. As a business owner myself, I know you never put a customer on the defensive--especially when your feelings are hurt because someone called out poor service. That's a training issue, not mine. This experience was not only upsetting but also makes me question how much the doctors enable their staff's mediocrity. The lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service is evident from the moment you walk in. I stand by my word: !!! review the cameras!!! I was never disrespectful--not once.

Dr. Kevin is a calming, reassuring presence, even via text. His compassion for these animals and their grieving owners is evident and genuine. He explained every step of the procedure to us, even details we requested, and tactfully addressed the possible outcomes of both the sedation and euthanasia. Even typing the word is difficult. I appreciated his further reassurance that it was the correct decision and at the right time when he saw the gravity of Xena's condition; I had no doubts, but it was still a balm to my heart to hear it from a professional. I was able to pet her throughout the entire procedure and up until the very last moment we assisted her onto the stretcher. I am so grateful I could spend those crucial final moments comforting her. We preferred communal cremation, so the rates were within the ballpark of other at-home services I had consulted with. However the stellar attentiveness, gentleness, and empathy that Dr. Kevin provided, in addition to his same-day availability on such short notice and all of the glowing reviews here, had my heart set on him from the beginning. Another reason we opted for him over other providers is because he is the one performing the procedure, so we knew what--and who--to expect. It felt much more intimate and personal than a service sending "someone" out. I believe this high caliber of care is how Dr. Kevin so seamlessly blends into the moment: he is another source of the palpable love resonating during such an intense, difficult experience. His demeanor was serene and respectful, and he allowed us plenty of physical and emotional space. Even as he was working, his being there felt as natural as any of my family members. Xena had a peaceful passing in her favorite sunny spot in the flowers, surrounded by her loving family at home. It was the ideal resolution for a harrowing situation, and Dr. Kevin made it possible. Because I had to go to work/could not cancel, I opted to do the day after. The estimate at MASH is $6,000-8,000 but here it was around $4500. I dropped my cat off early on Wednesday for his check-up, test, and surgery. Ultimately, they disagreed with the vets at MASH and said my cat had no crystals either in x-ray or in his urinalysis but did have a UTI which contributed to a second blockage (bladder overflow). They kept him for 48-hours to unblock and recover. This cost around $2K. At MASH where he had done the same 2 days earlier, it was $6K When MASH returned my cat, he was rough. He reeked of pee, his face was completely crusted/sticky with dried medicine, his fur was full of shed, and he was lethargic and in pain despite all the medicines. When Affordable returned him, my cat was bright and energetic. They clearly took care of him (he smelled like a baby wipe). It has been about a week since I brought him home, but I knew immediately that he was feeling better the day I picked him up. Now, he has completely recovered. Back to flinging himself around and meowing at 4 am. I am incredibly grateful to this hospital for their responsiveness, flexibility, affordability, and the kindness they showed my cat. I was worried that I would end up losing my cat (I had paid nearly $7K at MASH and he wasn't better) if he blocked again, but Dr. Barrera said that I should "give my cat a chance." He said that it is what he would do if it were his cat. I'm grateful that I did because it saved him from unnecessary surgeries. My cat was seen by Dr. Forsythe and Dr. Barrera and they both were very kind and gentle with him. I do see what some reviews mean about their disorganization. They forgot to call me to update me that he wasn't getting the surgery but would need to be hospitalized. I had to call them, but it turned out that Dr. Forsythe had gotten very sick. He returned my call despite being audibly quite sick and given that my cat needed the hospitalization anyways (and he was fine), I can see how it slipped through the cracks. They seem to accommodate all kinds of emergencies as best as they can, so I think a little disorganization is totally ok. I do think Dr. Forsythe needs a new phone. It sounded like he was calling from a remote cabin or from a phone that fell off a cliff. I had to listen to the voicemail at max volume more than once. I will likely return again/switch my primary vet to this one because it is closer, cheaper, and I had a great experience. And apparently, my shy scaredy cat enjoyed the attention he received here. There are some more "affordable" vets but in terms of quality/expertise, this hospital is well worth the price. When I called around to vets in Los Angeles for cystotomy prices, Ambassador Dog & Cat Hospital were the only ones that actually do it (many don't update their sites) that are near me (don't have a car) and their estimated price was also the same $4500. They are also roughly the same prices of my long-time vet (Beverly Robertson, wonderful, estimated $4K for procedure) and especially after going to MASH, these prices might as well be pennies. CareCredit is accepted basically everywhere, but what's nice about this hospital is that they accept ScratchPay which is a god send for emergency vet loans. This hospital is in an old building, but is still very nice and clean. Maybe not as sparkling as a brand new facility, but on par with the vets I've gone to over my lifetime.

The lobby and patient rooms smell fresh and clean in a very neutral way, without smelling either like animals or like too much cleaning product - comfortable for both animals and humans. There is typically plenty of parking during business hours, with a relatively quiet parking lot, so you can easily wait with your pet in the indoor seating or outside. Typically not crowded indoors, so if you have a scared or reactive pet, there is plenty of space in the large lobby / reception area to sit with your animal companion without them being too close to other patients. The pet scale in the reception area is flush with the floor, and because it's in the lobby, you can assist with your animal being weighed before they head into the back area with the staff - this is very helpful for scared and energetic pets who may need help sitting still. The staff are terrifically kind and helpful to both animals and humans. They are patient, they listen to your requests and feedback and help process your stress around a sick or injured animal. The doctors are skilled and thorough, and will help you through the complicated processes to make the best decisions for your animals. What impressed me most was their honesty and integrity. They focused on what Rufus actually needed rather than recommending unnecessary tests or treatments. After speaking with other hospitals, I truly believe the cost elsewhere could have easily been several times higher. Bewell provided exceptional care at a fair price, which is rare to find these days. Most importantly, they treated Rufus like he was their own pet. That level of kindness and compassion meant the world to me during such a stressful time. To Dr. Park and the entire team: thank you for taking such amazing care of my baby. You turned one of the scariest days into one filled with hope and reassurance. If you're looking for a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, compassionate, and truly puts animals first, I cannot recommend Bewell Animal Hospital highly enough.

My brother in law had recently moved to Canada, and his dog fell sick while still in the U.S. I was trying to figure out how to get the dog safely to Canada given his medical condition, and I called several clinics for guidance. Most places required an appointment just to answer basic questions, which made the situation even more stressful. Dr. Nassi was kind enough to explain that if we were driving the dog to Canada, we did not need a medical certificate, which meant we did not have to wait for an appointment or go through a lengthy certification process. The clinic also reviewed and validated the rabies certificate over email without charging us. As someone who does not own a dog and was trying to handle this on behalf of my brother in law, I was feeling very overwhelmed. Dr. Nassi really helped us understand the right path forward and made it possible for us to get the dog back to his owner. I am extremely thankful for the kindness and support we received. I highly recommend this clinic. The entire team, including the reception staff, was warm, patient, and very helpful.

My only wish would be for routine titer tests to prevent over vaccination... Titers are offered here, but they're quite expensive and not geared for pet owners trying to check for immunity levels before receiving a booster.
