Hands down, Dr. Lucia and Dr. Eric are some of the most caring and professional vets I've ever met! They were so kind and patient with our little Mocha who, to be honest, gets super nervous around strangers and vet visits. Both doctors took their time to answer every single question we had and made sure Mocha felt safe the entire time. Their gentle approach truly helped him relax . I could actually see him tail start wagging again by the end of the visit! What I really love about this clinic is that they focus on what truly matters. No unnecessary tests, no "let's do everything just in case" attitude . just honest, thoughtful, and professional care. It's so refreshing to meet vets who genuinely care more about the pet than the profit. If your fur baby gets anxious like Mocha, this is the place to go. I trust Dr. Lucia and Dr. Eric completely .they're simply the best!

Very small, but very effective vet hospital! They have their own dedicated parking lot in the back which is a huge plus in KTown. I initially contacted Olympic Pet Hospital through Yelp for an appointment and they were so fast in responding. I was able to book a visit with them for the following week for my kitty Meeko. I adopted two kittens in October and one has had chronic eye watering in one eye for the past 6 months. I tried so many things with another vet and it wasn't until I came here that they told me that he could have a birth defect. Because nothing has worked, it's only one eye and his littermate is not affected at all, they suggested he actually had a closed tear duct in his right eye. I didn't even know such a thing was possible! Though not an amazing conclusion since I can't fix it, it still gave me incredible solace to finally understand what could be his issue. I talked to the vet tech and both vets, everyone was very kind, thorough and patient. Excellent service! Prices are very reasonable and they are so good about explaining every cost to you. No frills vet that gets the job done! I'll be taking Meeko and Mushu here from now on!

We have a Jindo-mix that's usually so nervous around people and stressed at the vets. The vets took great care of our pup and he didn't need to be made drowsy or anything. They were so communicative and thoughtful, helped us diagnose his symptoms quickly and thoroughly, and even gave some great advice! So glad we found them and our pupper is too!

Thanks to everyone at this hospital, my senior chihuahua was able to get his teeth extractions. They were so kind and caring and made the process less stressful for me and my dog. Not to mention, the cost of his extractions was significantly cheaper than what I was quoted for, at other places. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with their service and care for my little guy. I definitely recommend this place!

LQQKing for a vet and vet experience you will like...? Search no more! Olympic Pet Hospital was just what I was searching for: Friendly, Affordable, Professional and easy in all aspects. The staff is over the top helpful both on phone and in person. Mellisa got me a great appointment so I could get my Mini-Pinscher/Chihuahua mix NICO over there to get his hematoma on his ear addressed. Vet asst Kelly, was gentle with my dog and very informative of anything I needed to know about what was going to happen and what happened after. The Vets Dr. K and Eric S. both consulted with me and explained costs and needs on a level that was easy to understand and worked within my budget. I thank them and NICO thanks them. He is so happy now that the bulge on his ear was drained and addressed. Big thanks to all at OLYMPIC PET HOSPITAL!!! Jimmy H, Beverly Grove area

Honestly, I did not have high expectations for this vet. I do not know the area too well but by driving around, it doesn't look like an area I would be frequenting. I assumed the inside of this place would be like a run down county clinic deep in the trenches of Los Angeles. Which I've had my fair share of experiencing back in the days. I was so wrong! This place is so awesome. The girls at the front desk are so sweet and attentive! I had a lot of questions every visit, I never had a puppy before and I was really anxious about making sure she was healthy. They always answered everything very patiently and had the best attitude. Since I do not live close I would have to call over the phone for vaccination records to enroll my puppy into classes etc and I even changed her name and they'd always answer my calls and email over anything I needed. The customer service has been exceptional. I would come here simply for that alone. They decorated the office so nice, it looks newly remodeled. The waiting lobby is small but comfy. They do not push for any specific food brands which is refreshing. They always call to remind you of an appointment. The people and their dogs that I've seen here all are very friendly and it looks like everyone comes for routine and not because their dogs are sick. I love that! The prices are fair, they're not low by any means but they're not outrageous. I find them to be decent for the services. I really appreciate the care they provided for my girl, she was here quite a few times due to being a puppy. We now go to a place closer to home because I don't live in Los Angeles. It's honestly the only reason. But I highly recommend this place to anyone in LA looking for a good vet!

Unfortunately, my experience changed in 2024 when a veterinarian working under his supervision mixed up my two cats, resulting in incorrect diagnoses. Tragically, both of my cats passed away one after the other in 2024. One of my cats suffered from great pain during his last moments, because he was given steroids even though he had heart problems, which was misdiagnosed. I was only finding out about the misdiagnosis from my cat's autopsy which was done later at an independent lab. Had I did not listen to my gut and gone to get the autopsy, I would be still blinded till this date about the reason of my cats' passing or shall I say, murder. This was an incredibly heartbreaking experience for me. I encourage others to ask questions, review their pets' diagnoses carefully, and use their own when deciding whether to use this clinic's services.

Because I had to go to work/could not cancel, I opted to do the day after. The estimate at MASH is $6,000-8,000 but here it was around $4500. I dropped my cat off early on Wednesday for his check-up, test, and surgery. Ultimately, they disagreed with the vets at MASH and said my cat had no crystals either in x-ray or in his urinalysis but did have a UTI which contributed to a second blockage (bladder overflow). They kept him for 48-hours to unblock and recover. This cost around $2K. At MASH where he had done the same 2 days earlier, it was $6K When MASH returned my cat, he was rough. He reeked of pee, his face was completely crusted/sticky with dried medicine, his fur was full of shed, and he was lethargic and in pain despite all the medicines. When Affordable returned him, my cat was bright and energetic. They clearly took care of him (he smelled like a baby wipe). It has been about a week since I brought him home, but I knew immediately that he was feeling better the day I picked him up. Now, he has completely recovered. Back to flinging himself around and meowing at 4 am. I am incredibly grateful to this hospital for their responsiveness, flexibility, affordability, and the kindness they showed my cat. I was worried that I would end up losing my cat (I had paid nearly $7K at MASH and he wasn't better) if he blocked again, but Dr. Barrera said that I should "give my cat a chance." He said that it is what he would do if it were his cat. I'm grateful that I did because it saved him from unnecessary surgeries. My cat was seen by Dr. Forsythe and Dr. Barrera and they both were very kind and gentle with him. I do see what some reviews mean about their disorganization. They forgot to call me to update me that he wasn't getting the surgery but would need to be hospitalized. I had to call them, but it turned out that Dr. Forsythe had gotten very sick. He returned my call despite being audibly quite sick and given that my cat needed the hospitalization anyways (and he was fine), I can see how it slipped through the cracks. They seem to accommodate all kinds of emergencies as best as they can, so I think a little disorganization is totally ok. I do think Dr. Forsythe needs a new phone. It sounded like he was calling from a remote cabin or from a phone that fell off a cliff. I had to listen to the voicemail at max volume more than once. I will likely return again/switch my primary vet to this one because it is closer, cheaper, and I had a great experience. And apparently, my shy scaredy cat enjoyed the attention he received here. There are some more "affordable" vets but in terms of quality/expertise, this hospital is well worth the price. When I called around to vets in Los Angeles for cystotomy prices, Ambassador Dog & Cat Hospital were the only ones that actually do it (many don't update their sites) that are near me (don't have a car) and their estimated price was also the same $4500. They are also roughly the same prices of my long-time vet (Beverly Robertson, wonderful, estimated $4K for procedure) and especially after going to MASH, these prices might as well be pennies. CareCredit is accepted basically everywhere, but what's nice about this hospital is that they accept ScratchPay which is a god send for emergency vet loans. This hospital is in an old building, but is still very nice and clean. Maybe not as sparkling as a brand new facility, but on par with the vets I've gone to over my lifetime.

My wife and I brought my dog in with a hurt leg. We went through seeing the vet and got x-rays. The procedure was for Rivers to send the x-rays to their ortho team for consultation. We never received the consultation. Instead the manager, Sergio, who is a tech and not a trained and licensed veterinarian, told us he "did us a solid" and talked to his ortho friends and "confirmed" that our dog did not have a ligament torn. Again, Sergio is a not a vet and made that call. As a result, we took our dog to physical therapy and never saw improvement for months because of this false diagnosis. Finally we took our dog to another vet to get a second opinion and they undeniably confirmed it was a ligament tear. We went back a second time to Rivers and had our first and last visit with Dr. Acosta. I don't say this as an exaggeration - Dr. Acosta was rude and confrontational the entire visit. When I tried to calm her anger and explain to the best of my ability what's going on with my dog's leg, she belittled and attacked me for not knowing the medical condition of my dog. I'm not a vet and I never claimed and somehow I was attacked for her it. It was clear the visit was about her ego and nothing else. Never in my 40 years of healthcare visits, human or animal, have I witnessed something like this. Let me make it clear that the rest of the staff was absolutely wonderful: both empathetic and professional. However with both Sergio and Acosta, this place is dangerous. I tried to be understanding because it was the holiday season and the clinic seemed very busy. But after that, I followed up again in January and February. Each time, the vet techs told me Sergio would call me back with an update. Unfortunately, I never received a single call back. Now my dog's allergies have returned and I was never given any plan of action or guidance. After three months of trying to follow up, I've decided not to return to this clinic. It's extremely frustrating to feel ignored when you're trying to get help for your pet. From my experience, this office may be fine for general check-ups. However, I would be cautious about bringing your pet here if they have a more specific or ongoing medical issue. I understand that Sergio may be busy managing many patients, but three months without any follow-up is simply unacceptable.
