I am writing this review to thank the reception staff, and especially Dr. Nassi, for being extremely kind, helpful, and compassionate during a very stressful situation. My brother in law had recently moved to Canada, and his dog fell sick while still in the U.S. I was trying to figure out how to get the dog safely to Canada given his medical condition, and I called several clinics for guidance. Most places required an appointment just to answer basic questions, which made the situation even more stressful. Dr. Nassi was kind enough to explain that if we were driving the dog to Canada, we did not need a medical certificate, which meant we did not have to wait for an appointment or go through a lengthy certification process. The clinic also reviewed and validated the rabies certificate over email without charging us. As someone who does not own a dog and was trying to handle this on behalf of my brother in law, I was feeling very overwhelmed. Dr. Nassi really helped us understand the right path forward and made it possible for us to get the dog back to his owner. I am extremely thankful for the kindness and support we received. My dog and I have officially landed in Taiwan with all the necessary paperwork. No issues at the airport customs. I had everything I needed. So happy that my dog can finally come back with me to the motherland for the holidays after 11 years. Super thankful for Dr. Nassi and team's assistance on checking the requirements for pet export, facilitating the FAVN testing, filling out the international health certificate, and submitting for USDA endorsement. Started taking our dog and cats to this vet a few years ago, when their office was smaller. Service was fine (adequate)...kinda pricey but they were a short drive from our house so we stuck with them. At one point, the vet suggested blood tests on our cat who's kidneys "felt small" (in spite of the cat otherwise acting perfectly normal as ever)....$500 tests revealed the cat was fine (as we expected)...Eventually the office doubled in size, had marble flooring, fancy lighting, etc...okay, so that's where our $ went...but, ok....that's business. HOWEVER, appointments have been progressively more difficult to arrange. My recent attempt went as follows: Phoned, got a "please hold", kept on hold, was advised, via recording, to send an email, did so....never got a response to the email. Phoned again a week later, recording told me I was "second in line"....long wait....then "you are first in line".....long wait....another "you are first in line"....long wait...then a "please leave a message after the tone" *beeeep* (!!!)....I did leave a message, instructing them to send all my pets' medical records to another vet (and provided that vet's email)....this just happened today. Looking forward to working with the new vet (who's front desk answered the phone promptly and politely). read more

My cat has allergies so he needs steroid shots every 6 weeks. Originally, I called a company , a mobile pet unit, of which 2 big women were very nasty to me and handled my cat not in a fun way. Then had the nerve to charge me $600. So this week, I found Beverly Robertson Veterinarian Clinic and they charged me $147 for the exam and the shot. I am amazed and so happy. My cat is happy everybody's happy, plus as an added bonus. When he needs his shots every 6 weeks I can just take him in for $65 and a technician will give him the shot. This is by far wonderful. I am a hair. Dresser, and I'm telling all my clients with pets to go there. By the way, the shot worked beautifully in a few days. He's totally cleared up and very happy. Scheduled an appointment for a non-USDA travel health certificate for my cat. This process was efficient and organized since you complete an online form and then they email to confirm appointment date. We were seen on time by Dr. Nassi who came in and addressed the computer instead of me when introducing himself. The completed documents had my name (the owner) spelled wrong in one of the sections and one of the microchip numbers was missing. While they fixed it straight away, the male front desk staff with glasses seemed to have a condensing attitude the whole time. After paying $400, this is unacceptable and negligible that I had to double check their work. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this veterinary clinic was nothing short of horrifying. I trusted this vet to care for my dog and perform a very aggressive surgery--full dental extraction, which cost me over $2,900. You would think with such an invasive procedure, there would be some form of follow-up care or post-op appointment scheduled. Shockingly, there was none. Weeks after the surgery, my dog began struggling with swelling around her neck, fluid buildup in her abdomen, and breathing issues. I reached out with concern, only to be completely dismissed by the vet without them even asking to see her. They told me it wasn't related to the surgery, which is baffling considering these symptoms began after the procedure. They even had previously acknowledged that she came in with swelling around her mouth--which they attributed to her bad teeth that were then removed. If the swelling was due to the infected teeth and the teeth were removed, then how is post-op swelling in the neck, breathing issues, and fluid retention not at least worth examining? I did my own research and found that these are not uncommon signs of complications following such a major oral surgery. As a professional, where is the empathy? Where is the protocol? Where is the care? Regardless of whether a specialist is needed, it is completely unacceptable that no follow-up was offered, no healing was confirmed, and that my concerns were brushed off without so much as a visual check-up. This is not just a failure in medical care--it is a complete lack of compassion, professionalism, and responsibility. For the price I paid and the trust I gave, this clinic should be ashamed. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

I used to be grateful for this place because they felt attentive, at least in January of 2023. But the last three visits, I have had some issues with how the place operates: the front desk staff, particularly the women are very rude and lack customer service skills. One was wearing a hoodie while greeting customers and rolled her eyes regularly. You have to wonder does everyone have their credentials to be there? Secondly, they have gotten very expensive. The price of the exam itself is $75.00! A ear infection with the cleaning solution and ointment was about 200 in total. Lastly, their diagnosis is not always spot on. They treated my dog's skin condition with a $90 allergy injection and it didn't work - I feel that they do not solve the problem to make it better but for you to keep coming in. Overall, the place is clean, but it's hard to get an appointment and it's empty! I do not believe the customers are as happy as it appears. I wouldn't recommend this place unless they change their staff and change their prices. I would also like to add he is paying for people to review this place positively in response to negative reviews. This place has very questionable practices. read more

Dr. Nassi and his staff are absolutely wonderful. I brought my little kitty in for an ear hematoma. Dr.Nassi was so observant of his behavior and he also noticed a heart murmur. He tried a nonsurgical treatment first due to my kitties specific circumstance and needs. We eventually had to have the surgury but i really appreciated Dr. Nassi's expertise and approach to be as gentle as possible. We got him an echocardiogram and found out that he has an enlarged heart and congenitive heart failure. I am so grateful we caught this even though it means twice daily medications the rest of his life and that surgery was a big risk...devastating. It is a delicate situation and I have been so scared. Dr. Nassi and his staff have been kind and informative every step of the way. Always responding when i email or text questions on what to do. My little one made it through his surgery and is on the road to recovering! Dr. Nassi is an excellent veterinarian who honestly cares and will do what's best for your little ones. He goes out of his way for his patients ( i was waiting in a room and he was about to enter when his staff let him know that someone texted them that they needed him right away. He didn't hesitate to address them immediately. He is so very busy, being pulled in so many directions at once by people who are experiencing high emotions but handles it with grace and care. I have the upmost confidence in him and his staff as a caring professionals ) The communication style of his office staff and himself is wonderful and comforting. Great vet & fair prices for general check-up & shots. Took my cat Bernie in to establish a vet here in LA. Soon as we arrived they put us in a private room and we awaited the vet. She was thorough and Bernie only hissed at her once. They made us leave to give him his shots which he did not like, but I assume that is standard. They are not good at keeping appointment times or communication. I scheduled a technician appointment for vaccines for 3:20 pm arriving on time on the date of the appointment. It was nearing 4 pm and they still had not called me. I asked the front desk what the delay was. They never at any time told me why my pet's vax appointment was taking so long. And likely would not have if I had not inquired. My time is valuable, too. They are not transparent about pricing until after the treatment was done either. I went in for two vaccines and they informed me that he was also past due for a booster for a previous vaccine. When I went to pay, I had to pay for 3 three vaccines and an additional booster at a later date. Bottom line is that there is very poor communication regarding delays and pricing. Unfortunately, the clinic's new management approach and disorganized support staff have made that nearly impossible. After repeated scheduling errors, miscommunications, and appointments that were either forgotten, downgraded, or canceled due to unannounced vacations, we've decided to move on. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Nassi, but the staff is definitely hit or miss. Maybe it's just how busy or swamped they are, but they are often very curt and almost condescending at times. Not all the front desk staff is like this, but I can call out a few. We have been going to this vet for almost 9 years. We don't want to leave, but it would be great if we actually could get nice responsive help AND feel "safe" with the people we often interact with. The vet techs have all been nice and mostly routine. Again, Dr. Nassi is GREAT. We've only met with Dr. Gleason once and felt she was just getting her bearings straight and learning things as it was just after she joined. Reading through some of the more critical reviews on here, I can confirm that those are issues we've faced, but nothing worth moving to another vet. read more

I lost my 15-year-old dog in December 2024. She was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2023, and at that time, I was told she likely had no more than a year to live, which sadly turned out to be accurate. On December 19, I brought her in for euthanasia. When we arrived, Dr. Nassi addressed all of my questions and concerns. He quickly recognized that I wasn't emotionally ready for the decision at that moment. He kindly suggested I could return the next day if I still felt the need to proceed. He explained that my dog was in the final stages, likely with just hours or days left, but that she wasn't in pain. I decided to take her home, and she passed away that night. I'm grateful I was able to be with her in her final moments. Dr. Nassi never pressured me into euthanizing her, even though I had an appointment and was already there. He respected my emotions and gave me the space to make the right decision. I'm so thankful for the care he provided my dog over the years. If I ever have another dog, I will certainly return to Dr. Nassi. read more

I called to inquire about international pet certificates and was directed to submit my inquiry online since the person responsible works from home. I followed the instructions and received a response with pricing from Jennifer the next day. I replied within two hours, expressing my interest in scheduling an appointment, but never received a reply. Jennifer has been unresponsive, and the staff who answer the phone seem indifferent, repeatedly telling me to email her and insisting there's no other way to contact her. Three emails, m two phone calls and no response or interest in helping. I recommend seeking a more reliable office that values customer service. Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

Dr Nassi is both compassionate and straightforward. You can tell he really connects with the animals and advocates for them. My husband and I have been through very difficult times over the past four years due to my mother and fighting cancer at the same time and have not always been able to be consistent with our veterinarian care, but we always make a point to at least get them into see Dr. Nasi whenever we can, because we know we will not be judged, and our dogs will be treated with love. The office staff is always very kind and helpful and knowledgeable, and I like the way that Dr Nassi engages with his practice. He's a very intentional man. read more

I brought my cat here for chin acne back in April and was prescribed over the counter wipes that were supposed to help it go away in 30 days. The vet said if it didn't work to bring her back for an antibiotic shot. The wipes ended up not working over time and I needed to bring her back... I tried to make an appointment through text because their system says it could be long hold times and you should reach out via email or text, but no one got back to me via text in a timely manner and I got busy with work and didn't have time to keep following up. I finally called and stayed on hold for 7 minutes just to have the admin come back and tell me that since it's now been a few months that the vet wants me to bring my cat back and pay an additional exam fee even through he told me to try the wipes first and bring her back if it didn't go away for the shot. I did as instructed but then was asked to pay an additional exam fee. My opinion is stay away from this clinic for two reasons 1) they will try to make you pay multiple fees for the same thing, which has not been my experience at other vets (I could have got the over the counter wipes without paying $85+ dollars and now they want to charge me again plus treatment for something my cat was already seen for) 2) the admin is horrible and not responsive... so you have to reach you multiple ways via text and call. I will be taking both my cats elsewhere going forward. read more

Terrible experience with Beverly Robertson as a concerned pet owner. We moved away to a new vet and Beverly Robertson refuses to release our pets' medical records without the doctor signing off, but he goes out of office for many weeks at a time and there is "nothing they can do" until he is back from vacation. For the last 10 days I have been asking them to send my pets' medical records to our new vet since I have some concerns and want them to be seen by a vet. They went back and forth with me saying they would send them, and then I had to follow up 4 times for them to finally say they refused to send the records until the doctor is back in 2 weeks. When I asked for vaccination records they only sent them for 1 pet, and I had to follow up 3 more times via email and call to have them send the accurate records for the 2nd pet. Every time I call they give me different information and are very short and not understanding or kind about our need to have our pets' medical records. Terrible experience, don't recommend BV if you want helpful communication and easy access to your pets' medical history. read more

I've been going to Dr. Nassi and his team since they opened the clinic 9 years ago. I appreciate everything they do to take care of our Sr. pup who's turning 10 this year and our newest pup who is a year old. Dr. Nassi recently neutered our puppy and before the procedure, realized our puppy still had 4 of his baby teeth, which made him look like he had shark teeth. They called me to let me know if I wanted to have them removed since he would already be sedated. They gave me a fair price for the removal, and as a bonus, Dr. Nassi only did one incision instead of two because he also had an undescended testicle. Overall, process was made as easy on my pup and me. I can't recommend this clinic enough. Your pet/s will be well cared for and you won't have to break the bank. read more

I am writing this review with a very heavy heart, but I write it in the hopes that someone looking for proper veterinary care will find this review and it will help them. Chibi and I returned from Japan just before the pandemic. We searched and searched for a new vet. I was indecisive. Then, Chibi started having allergy issues and they were affecting his trachea, so I made a decision to try Beverly Robertson. They immediately started Chibi on allergy shots. They worked so well in conjunction with the hydrocodone for his trachea. When the allergy shots suddenly stopped working, they suggested Apoquel. Again, a life-saver. By this time Chibi was already almost 14. We had moved to South Pasadena. We continued to commute to Beverly Robertson. Last year Chibi developed kidney issues. The vets and I worked together until we found the right combinations of medicine. Finally, as Chibi developed a heart murmur and as his final days were near, Dr Gleason answered all my questions. I was often near panicked doing all I could, and she calmly walked me through Chibis final stage. Dr Nassi was also with us through the process. He was able to answer my questions directly and I found it oddly comforting. Dr. Nassi would ultimately be the vet who would help Chibi transition. The care and compassion from the entire staff helped me through this process. I am so grateful for all their support. I cannot imagine another pet. Chibi was my little life partner but I hope others can read this and know they would be doing right by their pet in taking them to Beverly Robertson. read more

My cat died in 2018 so when we recently adopted a new cat I was excited to return to Beverly Robertson Vet Clinic. They have definitely expanded and updated their office but unfortunately the level of service we received was underwhelming. The doctor barely said hello when she walked into the room. Looked in my cats ears and said "Well that's not normal." Left the room and never returned. The assistant gave us some meds and sent us on our way with a $250 bill. I like the vets here but they absolutely never answer the phone even during their office hours. A few months ago, my dog had anesthetic dental surgery. They called me after the surgery and let me know that he did well during the procedure. However, when it was close to the time to pick him up, I called repeatedly to see if it was ok for me to pick him up and no one answered the phone. I was worried that something had happened to him so I decided to just drive over to the office. Imagine my surprise when I saw that both receptionists were sitting at the front desk yet no one was able to pick up the phone. Most recently, my dog was sick and I called to make an appointment. Again, no one answered the phone, even during office hours. I finally decided to find another vet. read more

Moving back to the Westside was very much a blessing but also presented a new set of challenges. I had a stellar vet in the valley (Southern California Veterinary Hospital - Dr Rigoni was tops), but I didn't have anyone to look after my furry child here. I went straight to Yelp, (no joke) and found this place. I had to give my poor dog a Cytopoint shot (for skin allergies and endless scratching). :( I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly and when we arrived, it was busy. A good sign. This location used to be Baskin Robbins back in the day and has been converted to this vet clinic. My childhood has been merged into my furry motherhood. Clifford also needed a overall wellness check and Dr. Gleason was wonderful and gentle with my nervous pup. I know my pup is in excellent care with Dr. Gleason. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nassi and his staff. I have two dogs. One has numerous illnesses. I have been to many many vets prior to meeting Dr. Nassi.. I was never happy and always searching for a Dr. who really cared. I have found that with Dr. Nassi. He truly cares about my animals. He is always available if I have an emergency either by phone or email. You can tell that he enjoys what he does. His staff is fantastic as well. I read some of the previous reviews regarding not being able to get through on the phone, if you're not patient and can't wait on hold they answer all texts immediately. UPDATED REVIEW: IF YOU WANT YOUR PET ALIVE DO NOT SEE DR. NASSI After seeing my dog for 6 years, and doing four cleanings that required anesthesia, Dr. Nassi gave my dog a 'clean bill of health.' Not only did he never mention anything wrong with my dog's chest, he said it was GREAT. Fast forward to this year and my dog is bleeding out of his nose and I take him to an emergency room. In a quick 30 minutes, I am told that he has a heart murmur that is extremely significant. I made sure to confirm that this is not something that just forms overnight. This went completely undetected by Dr. Nassi - this is some thing that the vet said that he could hear without a Stethoscope. In addition to that we found chronic underlying medical complications. All concerns that Dr. Nassi had waved away carelessly. He sees pets as disposable. I'm truly considering whether or not to report him to the board and have his license reviewed. This man is completely careless and can cost you your pets life. unless your dog is perfectly healthy and you just need some medication for fleas stay away from this careless monster. I can't believe he put my dog under anesthesia four times when he has such a serious heart condition that I learned about today. The emergency services at the VCA on sepulveda were incredible. The doctor spent ONE HOUR talking to me. He encouraged questions, was extremely thorough and had compassion for me in a very hard time. Please save your pet and do not see Dr. Nassi. read more
