She also was gracious as I took my time, along with several other customers, while we slowly made our way through the vast displays of merchandise. I found numerous stickers for my journal and for my grandkids. From geographic specific, licensed character, botanical, sports to artistic design stickers and more, it was an overload of great shopping. There were folks in back working on their projects. HUGE selection, Beverly was the absolute sweetest and gave my friend and I the best customer service. We found some great deals on clearance paper and found great die cuts we weren't even looking for. This store has everything stop by if you can! Came here as Little Bit wants to create Recipe Journals for Tiny Bit. A pretty good place to find gorgeous scrapbooking sheets. They also had a huge array of Jim Holtz distress inks. A bit scarce on the selection of rubber stamps and also didn't have any black ink pads save the small child proof ones I was able to find. Yelp's information is inaccurate they close at 5:00pm on Saturday... we arrived and someone was still in the store but as soon as we came in we were told they close at 5:00pm which was also on the door. She was finishing up with the customer sitting there but she stayed for us to complete our purchases. Scrapbooking is expensive! Beverly's is a small store on South Land Park in the same plaza as the post office. It's packed with products.. but neat. They have all the staples like books, papers, stickers, scissors, things to keep the clutter.. The lady running the store is very helpful. In the back of the store is a classroom space. If you don't like close spaces, you won't like shopping here. But for a one-stop shop and the helpful guidance of the owner-- great. But, costly. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The owner supported sexist behavior against MEN (myself). I called the owner (Beverly) around 7:18 pm today, Jan. 2, 2019. I said that I was new to scrapbooking and would like to work on a personal scrapbookling project at their Scrapbooking Social event tonight, which was promoted earlier in the day to me. At first she (Beverly) said that I was welcome to drop in. But about three minutes later, Beverly called me back. She asked me to NOT attend tonight because when she the women who were at the craft social were "uncomfortable" with a guy (me) attending because it was "night." (I presume that Beverly assumed that I was male by my voice.) IF THIS STORE ENDORSES RESTRICTIONS FOR MALE ATTENDANCE AT THEIR SCRAPBOOKING SOCIALS, THEN THE STORE SHOULD DISCLOSE THIS IN ADVANCE. Speaking personally, I was very HURT by the way the owner (Beverly) treated me. She basically told me to come back when daylight is out, even though the Scrapbooking Social was for several more hours. I was initially very excited to finally be part of a nice craft community, only to find out that this one appears to not be welcoming to guys. I cannot support this establishment because of the way I was treated. I was in the area, so decided to drop by. The store is cute, and full of crafty goodness! It's a little outdated if you want the latest and greatest. I saw three different things that were for "grad 2007"...umm it's 2017! The store was having a crop event, and it looked fun. Very lively with lots of conversation. However, I was in the store at least 10mins before I was even greeted. I had to return to the back to ask to pay. Not super annoying, but I didn't feel as though I was very appreciated as a customer. Not a huge deal to me, but still. I'm all about supporting the little independent craft stores, so I'd stop back in another time. I hope they update their inventory a bit though. read more

The owner was very nice and helpful. The shop was loaded with lots of scrapbooking items. The prices were very good too. I do agree though with a couple of the other reviews - some of the items are a bit outdated. If you are looking for more modern tools that can be used for card making or other projects, there isn't much of a selection here. The store is small, but very neat, clean, and pretty. It has a lot of products used is scrapbooking, like different types of papers, stickers, special scissors, etc. However, the specialty papers are a tad bit more expensive than the ones sold at Art Ellis and there aren't as many different types to choose from. The thing that annoys the hell out of me is the fact that there is no price tag at all on most (or any) of the items. If I want to buy 10 different kinds of paper, I would have to ask the person at the register to look up the prices for each of those papers for me. It's so annoying because I don't want to have to keep coming back to the front to ask for the price and look like a cheap-ass because I don't want to pay $1 for one piece of paper. Additionally, they don't sell the papers in bulk, like in a package of 10 pieces or so, so if I wanted 50 pieces, I'd be out of luck. Also, I spent $10 on 8 pieces of paper that weren't exactly the prettiest papers in the world, so I felt a bit ripped off. I mainly go here for the specialty paper because Beverly has a more diverse and upscale collection than the big chain craft stores. She rotates her inventory all the time. I visit this place once or twice a year and I always find new cardstock paper with awesome designs. The store is packed with a ton of craft supplies but is very clean and organized. There is a pretty good sized space in the back of the store, set up with tables, for scrapbooking lessons. I find her prices extremely reasonable. read more

I've been in this store once and actually got to meet Beverly. She seemed friendly, although she took a phone call half way through ringing me up and didn't end the call until after I left. I guess that is the luxury of owning your own business. As for the store itself, it is a bit small, but packed to the brim with a decent mix of papers and embellishments, tools, stamps, and other accoutrements. If you are looking for the latest and greatest, however, you may have to look hard and you still might not find it. I'll admit, I'm pretty particular about what goes on my scrapbook pages. I tend to approach it as an art form, and I like to experiment with different mediums and incorporate ecclectic elements into my pages. Beverly's Unique Scrapbooking, though the name implies otherwise, actually offers standard fare. Some of the manufacturers listed on her website as part of the inventory (the manufacturer list that drew me into the store in the first place), I was hard-pressed to find actually in stock. I guess what I am trying to say is that if I find myself needing very quickly some more alphabet stickers or another sheet of much-loved but discontinued paper, then I will make the almost-hour-long with a transfer lightrail/bus trip to Beverly's. Otherwise, I'll hunt it down online and wait the 5 days for the post to arrive. One cool thing about this store is the crop area near the back. It was busy the day I went in and it seemed as if all those ladies had been friends for years. So, if I ever felt the need to put forth an effort to get "IN" with a new group of scrapping ladies, it would probably be a good place to go. read more

Beverly's is a great little scrapbooking shop in the South Land Park area. It is owned and run by Beverly herself. The shop is a bit cramp (not a good place to bring very little children!) but it is very well organized and stocked. She's got a huge selection of unique scrapbooking papers you wouldn't find at other more obvious shops like Michaels or Joann's; and they come in a variety of sizes. There are also many different stickers, embellishments, stamps, stencils, and albums to choose from. The pricing is never very clear. It's always a little mystery for me, and when I do see a price tag I am not always satisfied or willing to pay the price she is asking. The papers are generally pretty reasonable, but the rest of the stuff, isn't always marked. I don't want to bother her everytime I see something, and because she seems a bit quiet/reserved it makes it a little tough. Regardless of the pricing problem, I still rely on this shop for all my paper needs when I'm crafting! read more

I've always loved this place. In 2007, my 13 year old childhood dog passed away. The first dog I ever owned from age 7 until 2 weeks before my 21st birthday. It was very therapeutic to make a scrapbook of Chessy. It was my first ever and very basic, but it helped with the loss immensely. Since then, I made one of my childhood sports, my biological mom, and some childhood holidays. I have so much more to do but need to find the time! I want to come in soon! read more

This is a nice well-organized store with a great set-up for scrapping: large tables in the back with individual (and secure) cup and garbage holders. It might feel cramped btwn the aisles but that's because the store carries lots of stuff. Beverly's has a community of Regulars, who (I learned) have been scrapbooking together ~9 yrs! I was a walk-in last Saturday, and though they could have turned me away since there was a private event (celebrating a bday), they made room for me. I was there from 11-6pm to work on a specific project: chipboard albums; Beverly (and some of her Regulars) took time throughout the day to answer some questions, show me techniques and give advice. So I give props for the hospitality and kindness towards strangers. I live in the Bay Area so it was a trek for me, but worth it. I made a lot of progress on projects that have been collecting dust for the past year. For those who want to try it out, I would call ahead to make sure there's not a party/event for the time you plan to scrap. read more

Last year I was looking for a certain stamp set and asked if she could ship it to Oregon. No problem she told me and then dropped the ball! I was really upset and just recently found a set after almost a year has went by. It was a rare set and I had spent a lot of time looking. If I'm ever nearby I won't recommend your store nor visit. I know you don't need my business, but you could have told me you don't ship instead of leaving me hanging for 2 weeks and blowing me off! I don't usually write reviews especially bad ones, but I really don't like the way I was treated and I would have been a paying customer. I feel I should be able to voice my opinion, good or bad. This is a great place for people who like to scrapbook. They have an nice selection of papers, stickers and embellishments. They also have a large area for people to scrap. I only gave it three stars because I thought it would have a larger variety of paper crafting supplies, instead of only focusing on scrapbooking (stamps, dies, ink, embossing etc). I've been living in the area for 2 years and always walked by this place with my dog wandering what was inside. I figured a lot of places don't allowed dogs so I never ventured in. It wasn't that long ago that I decided to give it a try going in with my dog. I approached the door and didn't see a "No pets" sign, so I went in. A nice lady greeted me at the door (which I just found out is the owner) and I asked if it was ok to browse the store with my dog. She said no problem. The prices are comparable to going to Joann's or Michaels. Granted, these big box stores have coupons that help get you a great deal but they are not that close to me, so if something costs a $1 more at Beverly's, it's the equivalent of gas for me to drive to Elk Grove or Natomas. I just walk there. The selection is pretty varied. It works for what I do, which are cards. I have a lot of paper stacks so I don't really look at her selection. Some of the tools she has I already own, but I would prefer to buy them cheaper on Amazon. read more

Beverly could not have been nicer or more accomodating when we celebrated our friend's bridal shower there. Most of our group had never scrapbooked before and she was so helpful with getting us set up. It was much more reasonably priced than I expected, considering all the fancy scissors and die cuts we could use for free once we purchased our papers/stickers/ribbon, etc. The selection was huge and we found more than enough accessories for our pages.
