I've never left a review on anything before but here I am I got 2 kegs and rented a tap later to find out that both kegs were full of mold under the caps and on top of that the tap constantly leaked you had to constantly pump it just to get a cup out of it and it leaked beer as well when I got back to return them (one full keg one empty) because we realized it was just too much work they refused to help me in anyway and refused to contact the manager absolutely disgusting customer service read more

Went in here the other day interested in their Non-Alcoholic beer selections. Yes, that is a peculiar item to be on the hunt for in a mostly alcohol based store, however, I like the taste of beer without needing the alcohol. I spent a good amount of time trying to locate a selection of this variety. I clearly looked lost, but not one employee came to offer assistance despite being an empty store, nor did the employee stop to help when I made eye contact and attempted to flag him over. I finally found what I was looking for, but the customer service was definitely lacking this go around. The gentleman at the register did not seem to be very happy to be working, and all in all it left a bad taste in my mouth. They do continue to have the best selection of liquor and unique snacks around. read more

I have to admit that I don't go to Bevmo very often. But, I have to say I was very pleased with my most recent experience. I was just looking for something in an ale. I wasn't sure what I was even looking for. Then, a store associate came by and we chatted for a bit. I told her what I was looking for. She was very friendly and helpful. She made a great suggestion and I went with it! The friendly staff was what really did it for me. That and the store being very clean and well organized helps a lot too. My mother (in her 70s) was shopping there yesterday and tried to go to the bathroom. She had beer in her cart. She left the cart and was about to walk into the bathroom when some employee (woman with dark, curly hair) said she took a bottle of wine into the bathroom. She hadn't even shopped for wine. The woman kept saying over and over that she would take her bottle of wine from her. She was embarrassed and left, putting her beer back on the shelf and walked out. I've worked retail in the past, and that is not how to do loss prevention, or expect normal people to shop here. read more

The worst managed store I think I've ever experienced. No one working the check out for over 15 minutes. Other workers lazily walking by seemingly unconcerned that people are waiting at a counter with no one behind it. I've had good experiences with clerks here in the past, they are usually quite helpful. Management just has not done a good job of setting priorities. I like BevMo, quite a bit. I visit quite often too. The Paso location (not surprisingly) does not have as good a beer selection as the SLO location. That's my biggest gripe. If you want loads of beer, go to SLO. It's too bad as I like to buy single bottles to try new things, and this location is more geared towards boxes and bulk. That being said, if you want Firestone, you'll find what you want. They have a healthy selection of spirits too, in fact I was able to find Aviation gin here and they did not have it in SLO, so that's a plus. So really you need to hit both to fulfill all your needs. The staff here though are always super nice and friendly and love to help. The store is always clean and I have never been in when it was too crowded. read more

Stores I think (like one that starts with R and ends in alfs) have really high markup on liquor (et.al), they're bargain basement next to some of this pricing I saw... UNTIL YOU go to the back of the store and see the clearance table of 60% off stuff and sift through the specially marked items while calculating what 60% off of those marked tags are. Then, someone on a budget like me, can breathe again and actually be able to afford something here... Overall, I am a big fan of BevMo ALREADY. Whats not to like?! A wide variety of adult beverages, unique sodas, snacks and mixxxers, and of course WINE. I made a pitstop here with family to restock the liquor we'd already depleted, and I was pleased to find Pendleton whiskey in both a regular bottle size, and the minis for my train ride home. SCORE!! These guys may have a great selection, but like a lot of chain specialty stores, they are terribly overpriced. All the beer is $1-3 more than the local stores. And their ice was $4.99! If i could give a zero I would. Worst retail customer experience I have ever had. I go to collect an online order and nobody attending that station yet 3 employees laughing & joking behind the booth. Finally I get noticed and am asked for my name. Employee heads back to the booth and much back and forth between her and another staffer. At least 5 minutes passes and no communication so I offer the order number and am told "no ' cuz my thing isn't working." Another few minutes pass and I ask is my order here and I get yelled at by the other employee (blonde woman - maybe manager?) who literally says "you can stop being rude and shop elsewhere if you like, we had a blackout of our system and can't find orders." So where was that communication 10-15 minutes ago? A young male employee offers to pull my items and the blonde woman says NO, we dont have the order here. Another few minutes pass and I ask can I just go buy the items and cancel the online order and am told yes. I'm now about 20 minutes into my visit and they know of this probelm since a few hours earlier. Where has the common sense gone and when is it okay to talk to a customer like that. 100% will never shop at this BevMo again. read more

I had a very bad, unprofessional experience with this store last Thursday 6/13. I called that day, spoke with Anthony (who was very professional) to let him know i would be there soon to pick up my kegs, taps, tubs & Ice, he verified my order, however when I got there, I was greeted very unprofessionally by Bella, who had every excuse as to why I couldn't pick up my order because they were short handed. We went to the back to see the kegs, but nobody was available to help load them in my truck, there were 2 others working there, 1 was also terrible, making excuses as to why we couldn't get them loaded. She pointed to the top of the ref. for my tubsand said they were too high, i saw many on the ground and wondered why we couldn't use them. I was so frustrated I said "I'll be in my truck for you to load up, let me know if you need my help", the girl said "I really don't care if I walk out right now, I hate this job". Then, Anthony came to the rescue, loading up the kegs, ice and buckets like Superman. I mentioned to him those girls need an "attitude adjustment" I can't do business like this. The next day when I returned the kegs, both Anthony and another girl Jesse were there to help, Bella saw us and ran for the back. I've since found another supplier. read more
