The seared salmon with fire roasted tomato, lentils, barley, roasted squash, wilted spinach and topped with lemon vinaigrette & pepitas was incredible. We were ravenous and so enjoyed our first meal of a weekend Paso trip as we took in views of beautiful rolling hills covered in vineyards. Service, food and ambiance were A+. We called to say that we were running a little behind which they were ok with. When we arrived, we were the only one there. The property itself isn't that big. Somewhat of an industrial area. A cute little seating area on the patio followed by a cozy lounge area and then you have the tasting counter. There's also the barrel room area which I believe your allowed tasting in as well but seemed more for an event. Which one was either happening that evening or the following day. The gentleman working was the sweetest. Welcomed us and took very good care of us. Explained the wine which is always a must. I'm more of a red drinker but some of their whites were excellent. Oh, the bubbles to begin with was great. It's more of a mom and pop place but tasty. During our tasting, people did start to arrive which was nice and I believe the owners were there as well. Preparing for the event happening later. The pours were great and the wine was quite nice. The whole experience was very fun. Compared to the other wineries which are pretty massive. This experience was more of a one on one as we were the group starting off at the counter. It was great. A fun little tasting room tucked away but quite nice.

The vault was really amazing with an extensive selection of high end wine. The website is really nice to use and seach inventory. I was looking for a specific Armenian wine that I couldnt find in Santa Barbara or SYV, and I had a Paso trip planned. I was happy to have found it at this store by searching the website. I called the day before and asked about purchasing online and picking up. They said no problem, they will pull and hold for me. The next day I stopped by and asked for the hold. A very rude lady accused me of always holdng items and not picking up (short, short hair). She said my name quite loudly. She said "let's be honest here Lisa, you have done this before". I had never been to this store or asked for wine to be held prior to this. Others in my party left and would not purchase because of this behavior. It was embarrassing. The other staff were very nice and helpful. In summary, it is a beautiful liquor store with an amazing selection of wine and spirits at fair prices, great website, and most of the staff at helpful and lovely.

They could have also been stories of the Temecula Chilurzo Winery or his living in the LA area. We all shared so many similarities in life, he took us on a private tour of the production facilities a couple blocks away. Waaaaayyyyyy cool!!! Super sustainability and eco-friendly. I was impressed. We didn't get to try any food, and I volunteered to be the designated chauffeur of the afternoon winery tour. We placed our wine flights order and food order and then sat outside to enjoy our wine. The patio is my favorite place to eat at, the site inside has so many wine selections, gifts other fun nicknacks. My mom was in heaven, the wait staff was so friendly with her, brought her little cup cake and sang happy birthday to her, my mom had a great time. We finished our food and drinks and finished our visit by stoking up on Stella Rosa and San Antonio wines. Until the next time.

The sausage was good too, came with potatoes. The flatbread was flatbread, needed some pepperoni or something but wasn't bad. My husband liked the wine tasting at Barton. The server was a little clueless and slow though. But overall, we bought 2 bottles and will try it at home. The patio seating was big and they had a distillery onsite too. I'm not a fan of vodka or gin so I did their whiskey flight. It didn't disappoint! The employee that helped me was Sydney and she was wonderful! She explained all the whiskeys in great detail and was very pleasant to talk to. There were 4 different whiskeys and a cocktail to finish. But one intrigued me more than the rest. They have a straight wheat cask strength, a regular rye, a rye cask strength, and a vodka. Tbh they were all very good and easy to sip on. Some were a bit sweet which I like but many others might not. Now as I said before I don't like vodka but theirs is unlike anything I've ever had. First of all it's grape based because they use leftover pomace from winemaking to then ferment and distill into vodka. Then they finish it in used whiskey barrels. I swear it smells and tastes JUST like whiskey and a really good whiskey at that! I will also say Sydney is a great salesperson too because I walked out with 2 bottles (the whiskey vodka, and their rye) and a bottle of old fashioned mix that they used to make the finishing cocktail.
