We were feeling a tri tip sandwich! My friend's mom (who is from Paso) recommended this place for a tri tip sandwich as they still grill it the old school way in the front with that old grill looking thing. It's obviously a liquor store. They have the food counter. You take an order sheet, fell out what you want and hand to the lady. She gives you a ticket and you pay at the liquor store register. The tri tip sandwich was well made. It was nice and neat. I thought it was going to be messier but she made it nice. It was good. I do wish she added more sauce. I got bbq sauce and chipotle mayo. But I think more needs to be added. Tri tip wasn't chewy, good flavor. I would come back. It's about $10 for the sandwich.

Monday I just usually get something small to eat and a drink. Sometimes might get their special of the day or something out of their hot box. Today I got a wing. It looked delicious in the hot box. As I broke it open it was well past it's prime believe been there since this morning. Dried out completely. Things like this should be completely pulled and not sold. The crew should know better by now.

Tri tip with bomb salsa and BBQ sauce!!

I've been sleeping on this place!!!! What a perfect tri tip sandwich!!! And I mean perfect!!! Served on French bread. BBQ sauce and spicy salsa served on the side! I'm hooked and won't dwell on the fact it took me this long to eat here. Now I know and now I'm a regular!! After trying the salsa, I'm very excited to get a breakfast burrito here. I had no idea they got down like that!!! Tables outside if you want to eat on site. Cheers guys!!!

    Beef Chimichanga $3.03 with tax.

My usual go to stop for a snack. No mozzarella sticks or corn dogs today as of 5.45 pm. Stopped here after a slice of Moe's Pizza. Went with the Beef Chimichanga that is tasty. It is deep fried and served plain. You can purchase a side of salsa. Usually just salt and pepper it because that's all it needs. Price is $3.03 with tax. Bargain for me!!

One time I got an egg salad sandwich from here, and it had a WHOLE HARD BOILED EGG between the two pieces of bread. There was some regular egg salad in there too, but also an entire uncut egg. I still think about that sometimes. I'm not sure if it was an intentional joke or not, but it was pretty funny. :)

This place offers delicious food and a great selection of liquors and wines. It is an affordable place for locals and I refer it to anyone who enjoys good food for a fair price. In my opinion the Tri Tip sandwiches and their delicious Shawarma are the best in town. Everything they offer is freshly prepared. The owner of the store and his staff are very friendly. They have seating outside so you can enjoy your meal right there or take it home. A local place for locals!

Great little store. Nice pre-made salads, tri-tip sandwiches are delicious, and easy to grab on the run. Love that they carry local wines.

It's definitely nothing fancy, which is exactly the way we like it. There's plenty of parking and the young lady taking our order was incredibly friendly. We split the BLTA along with some salt and vinegar chips. The sandwich was delicious! Nothing special but everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the bacon was delicious as was the soft tender bread that it was made on. 10 out of 10 for us we would definitely be back. There is no indoor seating just outdoor patio seating which was ample and on hot days it has fans to cool you down. Looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the sandwich so you'll just have to take my word for it.

They have two locations which we found out later. Initially we were headed to the one in downtown. This location on 6th Street is in a retail suburban type of shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. This location has no indoor seating, it's all outdoor patio which is covered. Basic patio, not alot of character or ambiance. But so much potential. As I was sitting enjoying my food; I noticed a lot of folks taking their orders to go and many picking up catering. It's counter service and not particularly roomy inside with folks standing in line and others moving about can get crowded. We ordered a plain toasted bagel with roasted red pepper schmear. They are generous with the spread. Nice! Lactose intolerant me just popped a pill and indulged. And we also ordered a breakfast sandwich on croissant with bacon. Yum. That croissant wasn't flimsy but also not too dense either. The sandwich was picture prefect. Next time I'm in Paso, I'll give their downtown locale a go.

The vault was really amazing with an extensive selection of high end wine. The website is really nice to use and seach inventory. I was looking for a specific Armenian wine that I couldnt find in Santa Barbara or SYV, and I had a Paso trip planned. I was happy to have found it at this store by searching the website. I called the day before and asked about purchasing online and picking up. They said no problem, they will pull and hold for me. The next day I stopped by and asked for the hold. A very rude lady accused me of always holdng items and not picking up (short, short hair). She said my name quite loudly. She said "let's be honest here Lisa, you have done this before". I had never been to this store or asked for wine to be held prior to this. Others in my party left and would not purchase because of this behavior. It was embarrassing. The other staff were very nice and helpful. In summary, it is a beautiful liquor store with an amazing selection of wine and spirits at fair prices, great website, and most of the staff at helpful and lovely.

But if you're planning a visit, build in serious buffer time. We stopped in on Memorial Day and, with several parties ahead of us in line, didn't place our order until nearly 20 minutes after arriving. By the 45-minute mark, our food still hadn't come out for two paninis and a soup. What made it especially frustrating was watching parties who arrived after us get their cheese orders and drinks served before anyone had even started assembling our sandwiches. It was clear the shop was understaffed for the holiday weekend, with one person managing the counter and another in the back prepping. We ended up asking to take the sandwiches cold just to get out the door, only to have both stuffed into one small bag, sloppily wrapped. The soup, unfortunately, came out lukewarm regardless. None of this felt malicious. The shop has an unhurried, artisanal quality that's part of its appeal, but that can't fully account for the gap between the experience and a nearly hour-long wait for a simple lunch order while others moved ahead of us. Come for the cheese, come for the atmosphere. Just don't come hungry with anywhere to be.
