The short: Who doesn't love the one stop shop liquor store?! The long: Like many chain companies if you have been to one location you have been to them all. This particular BevMo is conveniently located not too far from many of my weekly grocery stock up stops so I swing in from time to time to pick up a bottle of something. They always have a wide variety of products they are featuring, promoting, or have on sale. They have a buy one bottle get the 2nd for 5 cents which is great assuming it is decent stuff. The one thing that I do not like about BevMo is that even though they carry SO much they carry a lot of rotgut and super cheap garbage instead of carrying more unique or different items. The staff at this particular location is not overly helpful nor are they intrusive and annoying either. What works: You can usually find what you want here and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. This place used to be a good spot for all your booze needs, but their prices aren't real great anymore and beer selection is just okay. I called (03/26/16) just to see if they carried a seasonal release beer and the lady that answered said all the associates are busy and that I can go online to check. Such great service! Didn't offer anything else like ask me to call back, hold for a bit, have them call me back, etc. Just go online! That pretty much sealed any reason for me to even attempt coming back here. I really hope Stockton gets a Total Wine & More. Anyone that has been there knows they sh*t on Bevmo by far! Way better selection for beer, spirits, wine, and better service! Most recently: I was here for the 5 cent wine sale... Pretty impressive, good selection and variety. I'm a Pinot Grigio enthusiast, and was happy to have many options. The BF wanted a bottle of whiskey (ewwww). But of course had a huge array of options as well. Wine tasting on saturdays, 12-4 I think? Usually it's beer tasting but since the 5 cent sale was going on, it was wine. Overall: Liquor selection is always great. All the vodka I could ever want... all the brands, flavors, prices, etc. Same goes for the rest of the liquors...They also carry every mix you could ever think of... as well as glasses and bar accessories. The variety of beers sold individually here keeps inspiring me to host an exotic beer tasting party, but I never seem to get around to it. Best part about it: The staff knows what they're talking about. I can go in and explain what I like, and receive a great recommendation. They know what tastes like what and why... Every time I'm here I feel like a kid in a candy store. I want one of everything! TWO of some. I fantasize about accidentally getting locked inside overnight and all of the fun adventures I'd have. Make sure you get your free membership card for discounts. They pretty much stay out of your way here, but if you need knowledgeable help look for the older guy, this works at most BevMos. I'm not a wine person so I won't rate the wine selection- but its actually pretty big and looks well stocked. The liquor section isn't too shabby either. I come here mainly for craft beers- beers that you can't get anywhere else in Stockton normally. They selection is good compared to a grocery/gas station but being a dedicated alcohol store I wish their selection was a tad bigger including Dogfish Head! Until we get a Wine and More in Stockton Bevmo might have the best stock of alcohol around. read more

What can you say about a liquor store? It can't be all that bad as long as the prices are reasonable and the service is decent. The reason I like Bevmo is because they carry a wide range of microbrewer beers. I'm a huge fan of DOGFISH HEAD and LOST ABBEY. But they also carry your typical major labels. They are also guaranteed to have your favorite holiday or seasonal type beers. I've heard you can preorder, but I've never asked. Their scotch selection is pretty good, but that's all personal preference. And just from shopping around, I can say that they are not any more expensive than the next place. The customer service is always on the spot. Sometimes their "beer" guy or "wine" guy isn't working, so the knowledge/experience may be missing, but you can't have everything. Store is always clean and the shelves appear to be well stocked on most days. They lost a star from my review, simply because I believe that a 5-star rating is above and beyond. If you're good at what you do, then well you get a 4-star. They are good at what they do, selling booze. read more

Beer, Wines, Liquor, mixers, cheese, supplies, kegs, and almost anything a drinker could want. TONS of varieties on everything. I enjoy their selection of micro brews. i wish they had a bigger fridge so that it wasn't room temp when i buy it. I always tend to browse longer than i should when i come here. Cost is slightly higher than your average liquor store, but that's what the BevMo card is for! read more

This BevMo is very clean and has such a nice staff. They always greet me when I walk in and always have my favorite wine stocked for fair price. They've always been there to help me with any questions or opinions I ask of. They're not afraid to engage in small talk either. The store is always very neat and organized and today they were playing Alan Parsons music, ...so what can I say otherwise? 4 solid stars. I like bevmo but I will admit they need to start being in more different beers. It's time to break away and get some beers they don't normally have. It's hard to find varieties of sam Adams. I was waiting for the winter variety with the winter ale and it never showed up. It's time to break the mold and bring in a "beer connoisseurs" variety of beer. With all this being said if you are a one constant type of alcohol person then his is the place for you. Just drove to BevMo with 3 grown adults.. All older than 30yo .. They would NOT let us purchase WINE because one person didn't have her ID .. WTH .. She wasn't even purchasing the alcohol.. But they didn't ask for ID from all of the teens in front of us "because clearly they are teens" that makes NO sense... I have been a BevMo member for over 10yrs I am pissed ... I have enjoyed my shopping experience at this Bewmo store, they carry many products you dont find in general food stores, but they can be on the expensive side. Another thing I like is that u can browse their website to find products you can't find @ your local bewmo store, and once u find what you're looking for you can place your order and pick it up @ your local store in a little as 1 hour. I have used this service before with no problems :). Also you can become a member (is free) and save a few bucks on your alcoholic beverages, most of their employees are helpful, but there's some that can do better ;) but other than that this store is definitely the place to go for all your alcoholic neeeds lol... read more

I like this place, yes it's a little pricey, but worth it if you are looking for stuff you can't find at your local liquor store. I just wish they would start carrying more flavors of Pinnacle Vodka. They have Whipped, Chocolate Whipped, Orange Whipped, Cotton Candy and some others, but what would really be awesome is if they would get the Pinnacle Atomic Hots or Cookie Dough...or how about Cherry Lemonade, Key Lime Whipped or Mango??? Although I'm a semi-regular customer here, I will probably never return. I've been in the store many times with no incident but I was recently denied service because they thought my ID was fake. I was visiting some family in the stockton area and thought I would stop by to get some ingredients for mai tai's. When I walked I was confused walking up and down aisles. They get stars for their beer selection, but lose a couple because they just aren't kept cold enough in the back, or sit too long, or something. About 2 out of 5 times I get things there they are a bit past their prime, or skunked. A real disappointment as I'm usually looking forward to downing one of them. They do have a good selection of liquors though, but nowadays I usually just go over to the liquor store that is next door to Grapevine comics and grab any whiskey I want, prices are slightly elevated, but they are friendly guys, and I'd rather give my money to someone local. Bevmo does have one kid that works there that looks like wesley crusher, so that's pretty funny, he even cuts his hair so that he looks more like wesley crusher. Why someone would do that is beyond me, but it gives us something to laugh about when we are boozed up on some Smithwicks. read more

Bottle of Scotch I bought there had a bad cork that broke. I was unable to return because I didn't have my receipt. I can understand the policy, but the lack of help with the problem disappointed me. The salesman made me feel like this wasn't his problem and his demeanor was that I just needed to bite the bullet on this one. Customer service is usually friendly and helpful at this BevMo. I've been reading reviews, and apparently bev mo is good. I never got the chance to find out!!!!!! They were completely rude to my family and me. I walked in for a one stop shop for beverages. I walked in and started to look at their selection, my cousins [age 18,20, 21] also walked in. They immediately carded all of us. There's a sign that says people 18 and over are welcome, and if not you need to be accompanied by an adult. They kicked out my two under aged cousins. That would have been fine if they were polite about. They surrounded us, waving over the workers because they weren't leaving fast enough[ the younger cousins needed keys to the car]. I was infuriated, I demanded to talk to the manager. The woman that was helping me would not tell me where the manager was, Finally after some time I was taken into the back to talk with a manager, they did nothing but say sorry for your bad experience today. It also took another 20 minutes just to get the number of someone else in charge because these people were of no help! read more

The manager and assistant manager at this location are great! I always had my question answered by the knowledgeable manager. The company itself is the problem. I can tell from being in retail myself that the managers are over worked. Iv gone in to shop and I'll see the manager working what looks like a delivery that just came in to the shelves. Then I'll be down another aisle and there she is again helping a customer. Then just minutes later I'll see the manager across the store doing another task. Bevmo needs to rethink this before they start losing good employees to better companies that will appreciate them! I will shop here just because the manager has always been great to me but if she ever leaves I won't shop here. I've always liked the service provided here. However, a month ago when my bf and I went to grab a few drinks, the African American guy was very rude. I asked him where the Stella Rosa (red wine) was located because it's a product of Italy, but yet it was nowhere to be found at the Italy aisle. We looked several times before we asked the African American associate. It was not a busy day and he wasn't helping anyone at the time. He gave us an attitude and said, "They're all Moscatos." Um, no bitch, the Red Stella Rosa is NOT a Moscato. He even tried to correct me. He needs to get his facts straight before he bark at nice customers like myself. I wanna go back again to look at his name so I can list it here and report to his manager.
