I love to have a bottle of wine on the weekends and luckily my local BevMo is fully stocked with all my favorite wines!! I also greatly enjoy browsing in here and looking at all the different selections. And no matter who you talk to from the manager to the cashier they are all such amazing individuals. This is the kind of vibe you want when you are picking a go to spot. And especially right now with all that's going on they have not lost their touch at all. I am extremely great full that they are still open and that they have a system in place to keep the staff as well as the customer safe. Tried to make a return on a bottle of tequila 5 minutes after I bought it because I left my phone in the car and my wife said to not buy it after all. I went in to return it and an employee who could've been a supervisor said that in the state of California we're not allowed to return alcohol. I said okay and left to my car but knew that this was untrue, so I called Bevmo customer service and the nice woman told me that they were misinformed of the law. She put me on hold while she contacted the store manager and a few minutes later, came back on the line to tell me that he was indeed misinformed and that if I go back in they'll accept my return. I came in and the manager didn't say much while he returned it, only that he was sorry about the inconvenience. The thing is, I find it kind of bizarre that a store manager of a business that primarily sells alcohol has been rejecting returns for who knows how long due to misinterpretation of a law that says that you can't over-buy alcohol, and then return what was not used for a party or event in California. I also feel bad for all of those who simply walked away thinking that they weren't as versed in law as these employees, and just accepted it. I also hope that it wasn't intentional to keep sales higher. Anyways. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not allowed to return alcohol in the state of California because you can. The employees at this bevmo are really cool though, which is why I didn't give it 3 stars for this weird issue at a Bevmo of all places. read more

When I want to forget, Bevmo is there for me. I came in here tonight looking for a nice Pinot Noir and without my glasses- had trouble finding my favorite, Meiomi! Luckily, this very helpful and handsome employee helped me out. He not only helped me find my wine but recommended others. Although it turned out that I didn't like what he recommended which was a James Bryant Hill Pinot Noir, I still found his aid pretty admirable. Goofy and super funny kid. I chose to order my large shipment of wedding party favors from BevMo because they could get it to me in the quickest time (a week verses World Market that takes 2 weeks). I had spoken with Maria on the phone when I first placed my order. I had confirmed with her that my order would arrive at 2pm on Thursday. She also told me she would call me when it came in. Thursday comes around and it hit 2pm and I did not receive a phone call. I call in to find out that Maria was not even working that day. Candy had answered the telephone and was a lot more helpful in helping me figure out when my order would arrive. She informed me the truck does not get in until 7pm. I was so upset that Maria had told me 2pm. Candy kept her word and called me when the order arrived later that night. I was still upset that it did not arrive the time I was told but I was grateful for Candy's customer service. Not only that, but when I walked into the store, Ka'eo offered help right away and was not only friendly but helped me save money on my large order. He went out of his way to get me the best deal. If it were not for Candy and Ka'eo, I would give this store one star because of Maria's lies to me. read more

New bevmo! Really like how they clearly categorizes different types of alcohol on top of section. So you can find wine or beer or hard liquor right away. At the beginning of each aisle, the label states what kind of the liquor and when you walk into the aisle there are vertical flaps that divide the aisle into different section for different types of liquor. Was in and out in a flash! They have a good selection of crackers that are hard to find elsewhere, though a bit overpriced here. At least I get points with my card. They scan your ID even if you're not purchasing alcohol which I find odd. Why can't I buy crackers if I'm underage and what if I forgot my license?! If you enjoy craft beer this is the place to go. They have a wide variety of IPA, Ales, Lagers, blondes and of course my favorite stout. They always have my favorite beer, Russian Imperial stout as well as 90 minute IPA. And as a craft beer lover I love the fact they offer such a variety. This location is just of 10 freeway. Mid size stand alone building, very easy to find and very clean. Service was bery quick. Morale of the story if you need booze, I'm positive you will find something you like here. read more

I stood in line for almost 20 mins on thanksgiving day and purchased some Irish cream in addition to ginger beer. I couldn't find my ID at the check out and I totally understood not selling the Irish cream because rules are rules, but the lady refused to sell me the ginger beer as well in spite of no alcohol content in ginger beer. I was so disappointed because I stood in line outside in the heat and also inside only to be denied anything on Thanksgiving day. Wasted an Hour of my time! I like this BevMo in West Covina they have wide variety of liquor they got mostly any kind of liquor you need all from gin, vodka, whiskey etc. I would definitely recommend going to this BevMo and can be cheaper than other stores as in the price thumbs all the way up read more

This store is immaculate, good selection and friendly staff. I've been here many times. BUT- I really don't think I would go as often if it was not for Jeremy. I think he is an assistant manager. He knows EVERYTHING! He has helped me every time I go in and has always made great selections. I like just about any red wine- But when I needed whites for a party everyone loved each one he selected for me. When I've need to come up with a special cocktail for an event- he has always helped. And the best thing is he doesn't try to over sell you. He keeps you on budget. All of the staff here has been friendly and helpful BUT none of them are at the high level of expertise as Jeremy is. This bevmo is a joke. I recently stopped by for some premium beer and couple of bottles of jack#7. All the nitro beer's I wanted were expired 4 month's ago! I even looked for a different blend and also expired. I would expect this at certain nasty liquor stores,but not here. This is definitely my last time I shop this Bevmo! Glad they finally decided to open a BevMo! in the Covina area. It so desperately needed one. Now I can commute to this one instead of the one in Glendora whenever I am in the area. It may just be me, but this store seems slightly smaller than the others. On a positive note, they do offer craft brews from Dale Bros. although they have yet to receive the Queen Latifah and Mango IPA shipment when I came in this week. This was my first time ever in a Bev-mo and it was really impressed. It's so frustrating to navigate the website sometimes since there is so much product but being in the store, the flow was so easy and simple. Of course there is tons to choose from but the sales associates seem to know their booze pretty good. Walked out with some fancy dark beer and two bottles of wine. Love their .05 cent sales too. I'm a fan of South American wines and I loved that they have a section dedicated to them. I definitely want to come back and check out their bubbly section. Great variety of beers and spirits ~ I come in for the Kraken Rum or the Sailor Jerry rum and they are always reasonably priced. At this location, the staff is always friendly and ready to assist in finding something to your liking or suggest something new. I dig it. Plenty of parking so that's never an issue. As far as promotions: BevMo has a promotion that runs for their club members and they have scheduled in-store tastings. Proximity is the reason for the 4 stars. I normally make the drive to wine time in brea but now that this is here I don't have to. Except ofcourse for the selection they are missing here and for some reason the stuff I look for is usually the last 1 and they have no more. I do wish they would carry more variety of the makers they already carry. Specifically moet and pommery. read more
