I don't feel welcome here. This place isn't the most welcoming liquor store - odd right? I've never had issues else where but I got a really bad vibe here as if I was an intruder walking in. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions about their overpriced selection and I was met some pretentious replies. Maybe the man just rubbed me the wrong way but that's a definite no go for me. First impressions are important and this one totally blew it. I'm usually fine paying a little over but this place is way above the premium. Weller's, Blanton's, and etc are way above the retail price - $100+ on both. I understand pricing it $10-15 more, but $110-$120 for Weller's? No way. $100 for Blanton's? I literally found Blanton's at three different retailers for MSRP. If you think you're getting a good deal here, you're wrong. I can't support businesses who hoard at these prices. I understand they are hard to come by, but not impossible to get. This isn't Pappy. I really have no reason to go back and give it another shot. Good luck. read more

The Jug & Jigger is a great liquor store in West Covina. It is located next to the 10 east entrance of the freeway, in a little remodeled strip mall. If you are like me and are looking for a great selection of micro brews, look no further. This place has it all and the prices are decent. They carry sky scraper, new belgium, lost coast, alaska, new belgium, flying dog, anderson valley, dogfish head, nectar, firestone walker, to name a few. The jug & Jigger also has single 22oz bottles of beer if you are looking for something different to sip back on. The staff here are courteous and leave you alone until you are ready to check out. In other words, you are allowed to peruse the selections without any hassle. If you are looking for something in particular just go ahead and ask them and they will help you. All liquor stores should have whimsical names like this. For a regular-old liquor store, this place has a great beer selection. A wide variety of Belgian beers, a good representation of California's best, and a good smattering of other American and European choices. The mark-up is a touch high, so for a big haul it makes more sense to go elsewhere, but for a bottle or three, the gas saved travelling out to Total Wine probably more than makes up the difference. read more

This was my second time coming to this place. I usually buy my drinks at the grocery store out of convenience but both times I have come here I get great service. This is a convenient little liquor store right by my house. They have some pretty good prices and a huge wine selection, which is always good! I did not get a chance to buy what I wanted because they were out of it but the cashier was rely sweet and he apologized. They also have a variety of snacks and other knick knacks. read more

Incredible craft beer selection. A lot of stone special release Stone stuff that you can rarely find (even at the Stone company store in Pasadena). The clincher for me was one random bottle of 2009 green flash barleywine for $5.79. Insanely rare to find 3-4 yr old bottle of barelywine on the shelf anywhere, much less with the original price tag on it. read more

Love their selection of beers. The white guy (sorry don't know his name) is very helpful in finding what you need and would even special order beers for you if he can. If you're buying craft beer expect to pay for a craft beer and don't bitch and moan about it. If your complaining about a $8 or $10 beer maybe you shouldn't even be buying craft beer. They carry a lot of stuff bevmo don't so I don't mind paying a little extra for beer that's harder to find. This place has a pretty good selection of craft beer and wines, along with all of the standard hard liquors. Their craft beer selection is better than most stores, and the wine selection seems pretty extensive(I don't drink wine, but judging by the amount of bottles they have it seems like there is a good selection). This, however, is the only reason I bothered to give them 2 stars. I tend to choose liquor stores at random since I like to see what craft beers they have and try new things. I have been here a few times, every other month or so. The problem I have with this place is that every time I go, the beer is expired and I never realize it until I get home and crack it open. This has happened a few times and I finally got fed up and decided to write this. The date on the bottle was from 8 months ago; and that's a best by date, not a production date. All in all I don't plan on coming back here. It's quite a disappointment to get home and be ready to enjoy a nice crisp beer and have it be old and stale. read more

Stopped by this place on the way home from work. The guy that was working wasn't helpful at all. Didn't know much about anything except how to push the buttons on the register and give people free booze. I do like the fact that they are selling "sky high" edibles . 1 star for that. it's the first one so how could it be bad? the answer is, it can't. this one is slightly closer than jug and jigger #2 , literally right off the exit on the 10. this place has slighty more of a selection of beer than than #2. the main difference between the two seems to be that #2 is more focused on alcohol, while #1 is a liquore store with a huge selection of beers. either one is good. when i can't find what i'm looking for i know they'll probably have it at the other one, less than 5 mins. away. i love this place and i still take at least 10 mins. trying to decide on what to drink next. boo ya! first to review both jug and jiggers! read more
