The time I spent there browsing I was treated very well both owners asked if I needed help. Selection is very unique bottles you hardly find around LA might be here respectable selection I got treated very well the gentleman was respectful and truthful as a spirit enthusiast I can only speak for that. This store has a good selection for being a small place in nowhere Azusa, and I have spent a lot of money there over the years. But they have always had marginal COVID safety procedures, and tonight was horrible. The guy at the cash register wasn't even wearing a mask, he was only partially wearing a bandana that was loose off his nose. At least one customer was wandering around and speaking without a mask. And some crazy high guy with a mask loose around his neck was wandering in and out of thae front door and shouting at everyone. I held my breath, got out of there as quickly as possible, and grabbed the alcohol wipes the moment I got back to my car. Won't be going back. read more

DO NOT cash your checks here. The older guy with the mustache says 1% and then scams you for between 2-3% or as much as he can get away with. When I called him on it he says "you wanna cash it or not." Just go somewhere else so you don't have to deal with the hassle of his poor math problems. I was taken aback on how clean this liquor store is, certainly can pass the white glove inspection. The shelves are stocked, and even all the specialty liquor bottles are clean and shiny. There is an amazing collection of exotic bottles of imported tequilas that I've not seen anywhere else. Customer service - well, what can I say I felt very welcomed and not creepy like most liquor stores. Nothing much to say about Canyon City Liquor other than it is extremely convenient, just a 2 minute walk away from home. Average to fair prices on their beers, good selection. People who work there are always very friendly, though I am not a big fan of the newer younger guy employees they have trained. I don't like being called "Boss" as in "hows it going boss?". Call me quirky. I will say this though, it has got to be one of the cleanest local liquor stores i have every been to. Since the new owner took over and remodled it is way brighter, cleaner, and has a good variety of grocery items and other things a local store should have. I have never used check cashing services but they seem to be pretty fair as there is always someone in there taking care of business. If you are driving by and are stuck in traffic on Foothill, I would swing by for a look, buy a drink and snack for the rest of your ride home. Pay cash. They do take credit cards but charge a pretty stiff 75 cent fee, which drives me nuts. But hey, that's business. read more

First let me start by saying this was a very DIFFERENT liquor store (in a good way). When I first arrived I was like looks kinda creepy empty lot , but once inside I was amazed so to say, it was a bigger then average liquor store in size. The selection was outstanding they had so many choices, of beer wine , malt liquor regular liquor and all for a great price not over priced like most liquor stores or even grocery stores. The cashier who I believe said he owned the place was super helpful and nice. The drink my friend wanted wasn't found in front but in back and wasn't cold so he offered it with no tax and a free bag of ice and he even gave us some free cups lol to help our pre game !
