Louie's has it all from snacks, squishes to drinks and more. Every time I step into here, there is some hot new items out and I always somehow cave in to try them. I'll forever feel welcome when coming here. When Ben is on shift, he always greets upon arrival and asks how I found everything. He gives great recommendations too when asked. 10/10 one of my favorite liquor stores.

You just never know what you're going to find at Louie's Liquor. Louie's sells all kinds of craft beers, a wide variety of spirits, premixed drinks, even an assortment of unique ice creams treats. They even host occasional tastings for you to try out different spirits before you buy. Tonight it was contraluz tequila, fireball apple and private reserve, buzzball witch's potion and a bourbon. Lucy, Drea and all the staff are some of the greatest people you'll ever meet. Additionally Louie's Liquor is not just a business in Azusa they are pillars of the community in Azusa. They are constantly giving back to the community. Recently they had a back to school giveaway. They gave away backpacks and school supplies, being that I work for the local school district, that is huge deal for this city.

We were heading to Irwindale Speedway and wanted some drinks to tailgate. I found exactly the drinks that I was looking for which included an IPA and a BuzzBall. The female cashier was very nice and seemed to know most of the customers that came in.

This is the place to go when you're trying to find liquor and specialty alcohol beverages. They have a wide selection to choose from. They not only have the products but they are educated in the products as well. The women that run the store are very friendly and down to earth. Update to my review. I've now heavily gotten into tequila and this place is top notch!!! They always have excellent suggestions and all the staff are very nice. It's one of the best places for tequila in the entire sgv, including the pricing. I like the store layout too, big and plenty to choose from. read more

Yes, Yes and Yes. The service is amazing. One gentlemen (Louie) that works here was able to answer all my questions about beer and was able to guide me based on my likes, not a rushed situation he knew what he was talking about had great knowledge of beer. So I'm a big fan. And Drea (hoped I spelled it right) also very knowledgeable about the products which was tequila for me ! Great experience overall friendly helpful , great selection of all liquors and craft beers and close to home for me is a win, win, win !! read more

Store is cool, there is a few employees I've interacted with. Seems like if you're a regular they're nice if you're new they kinda brush you off and are a little rude. Wish I had names...BUT the Hispanic guy there was super cool and friendly went out of his way to help me but the white guy was kinda rude. Which sucks because I'm a bourbon drinker and apparently he is the bourbon guy but not very helpful...just seems to just be there and if you ask questions he answer half heartedly almost like he is upset you asked. But they get good bottles in from time to time at decent prices and will run sales through they're instagram. Good store overall just be ready to go in and not have the greatest first time experience. Good selection of snacks, drinks and spirits. read more

If angel's could sing as I walked in the door, it would have happened today - my very first visit. The variety of liquor is amazing and clearly Louie's has created a niche w/ their specialty "phuket buckets" of varying flavors and sizes. It's clear that this is a point of pride for this store as I heard one of the clerks refer to a specific bucket as having been made by (a former or current employee). This tells me that the staff works hard and plays hard at creating these buckets. There are some big dad ones, values at $100+ but you're getting A LOT and likely a guaranteed buzz for the money spent. I'll write more once I test out the goods...I bought a bucket that had tamarindo flavored vodka and another (small one) with coffee / horchata vibes for my work gift exchange. Being a first-timer, I really appreciated that the clerk explained the order in which to put the ingredients. I'm looking forward to it. I will be back soon to buy the "phuket bucket" in the ginormous pelon pelon rico chupie bottle. It's hilarious and so fun! read more

Louie's is kind of a new breed of an old Liquor store. Long gone are the days where you can walk in, look at new things and ask questions where someone understands your likes and dislikes. Louie's understand this, from each of their staff. No matter what time of the day. Brightly lite. Clean floors, shelves and neatly organized. No issues with walking in and but feeling safe. Just before midnight I was searching 7-11's and AM/PM's for 9 volt batteries, I passed by Louie's liquor and noticed it was open, not expecting to find any I was surprised to find one hidden behind a watch battery, but that aside, I expected this store to be "ghetto" but to my surprise, it was very nice, clean and well organized, being more of an actual LIQUOR store they also have other items, and their selection of alcohol is huge, I will definitely go there for any wines or liquors I may need in the future. read more

I'm kind of at a loss for words which doesn't happen to me often, but I called this place inquiring about a certain bottle of Tequila and they told me I had to buy another bottle of something else at the same price or equal price to obtain this bottle, I've never heard of such a ludicrous policy for any establishment, like they want to have you over the barrel to buy something that you shouldn't have to be subjected to buy, right? This place is on another level! I haven't found anywhere near me that I can find such a wide variety of incredible beers at a great price. They do colabs with the infamous Kings Brewing in Rancho. Bonus!!!! Lucy and Drea are so knowledgeable, fun and downright amazing people! I love to support small business and if you do too this is the place to go. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.

A now former regular, who I will be keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, was banned from the store for openly racist remarks and verbally harassing staff. I was not personally present for it, but that is accurate to my experience with said person. They have repeatedly made racist and classist comments and have pretty heavy handedly push their ideological views to me. After banning said customer, they proceeded to threaten and harass the staff, from what I saw in regards to the banning, the manager Adam handled it with more respect and elegance than I believed necessary. Despite his tact, she took that as an opportunity to go on a tangent of excessive profanity and slurs. I think it's very telling about the type of people who work at Penny that they value maintaining a safe and welcoming environment even in the face of bullying and harassment. I've never felt more inclined to go to penny than I do now. Thank you guys for what you do and keep up the good work. You guys are rock stars fr!!

Unfortunately, my experience with the shop changed because of repeated interactions with the store manager, Adam and the event that had just happened. I want the owners to be aware of concerns I have regarding the atmosphere created by management. On multiple occasions, I have heard Adam speak negatively about the owners and other baristas in front of customers. I have also experienced him bringing personal and political opinions into conversations while working, which I feel creates an uncomfortable/unprofessional environment. He works every Monday so I can't even sit on the only couch and drink my coffee in peace, he's always talking nonsense and forcing his personal opinions down my throat. He never stops talking, and if you try to share your opinion, he talks right over you. He has a veryyy hard time accepting viewpoints that differ from his own. He's honestly on some sort of power trip. The most concerning incident occurred recently when Adam yelled in my face while inside the coffee shop!! Then the other barista, David got involved with his encouragement during this interaction. They surrounded me and were trying to intimidate me together and at that time there were no other customers in the store, and when I tried to speak to them to tell them to stop yelling at me- they went at me harder to the point I had to literally run out of the shop bc I didn't feel safe there. It's the first time I have ever had two men corner me and yell at me- it was honestly traumatizing. After leaving, I informed David that I would never be returning. I believed that would be the end of the situation. However, David provided Adam with my personal phone number without my permission, and Adam contacted me by text after I had already left the store in an effort to intimidate me further. During that exchange, Adam also accused me of being racist. I found it completely inappropriate that my personal information was shared without my consent so that a workplace conflict could continue outside of the store. I also want to address an issue with David. Throughout my visits, you have repeatedly attempted to hug me or touch me when I came into the shop. Regardless of your intentions, this made me uncomfortable. Customers should not be touched without their consent. I also work in the business of customer service, and I understand the importance of professionalism. I would never speak negatively about my employer to customers, push personal or political views on people supporting my business, yell at a customer, or use a customer's personal information to continue a confrontation after they leave. It's disappointing because I did like this coffee shop and wanted to continue supporting it. However, my experiences with Adam and David traumatized me. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address them so other customers do not have similar experiences.

I had a great experience at this liquor store, largely thanks to Ben. From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable.
