Then you start looking and the place is as organized as any library. The real problem is they have too many books. Good luck making a decision! I like reading books on sports (well written ones), historical biographies, political non-fiction and American literature. They have it all. What they don't have, they will find. The staff is always very helpful. And everything is reasonably priced. On your first trip, just go in and look around and you'll find books you didn't even know you wanted. If you're not likely to be back for a while, bring a list of books you're interested in to save time.

As we wandered up the main strip we were mostly looking at places we'd want to come back to for some deeper dives and this bookstore was one of them. After going to the museum then next day we stopped back in and I left with a couple of vintage cards and two great books. The guy let me haggle on the cards and gave us a discount on the books. All books that date pre 1999 (which are most of them) average at about $3 each, and in my opinion they have depreciated much more in value. Store hours per day are short and inconsistent. But going back further is where they have their depth. Want, for example, to fill out your Erskine Caldwell first edition collection? They've got you covered. It's actually a little uncanny. (I almost expected to bump into Rod Serling prowling the stacks during my most recent visit.) Staff persons on duty during both my visits over the past two years were very friendly and helpful.

I went into the info center only to be informed that their bathrooms are private, too, and that Riverow has been told "repeatedly" to stop sending people there.
