A few other stations in Ypsilanti or some of the townships in the area come close or occasionally come in a cent or two cheaper, but the Oklahoma station is generally your best bet. There's nothing special about the attached convenience store- they sell the usual things like gum and soda pop. The general neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges, too. But if you live on the east side of Ypsilanti, it's generally worth it to get your gas here.

I tried to tip her but she wouldn't accept it, quite humbly because I know she deserves it. She works long and hard hours like Me, it's nice to be able to relate and she gives Me inspiration every time I see her powering through her day. I took the tip that I wanted her to have and instead bought more things from the store, hoping that would benefit her in some way but I'm not sure it will. Thus, I felt the need to write this review. She's a great person to have in your store, I'm honestly surprised she isn't working corporate somewhere. If I needed a job I'd love to have her as a manager. Thank you Cindy! It was clear that no effort was made to maintain basic cleanliness standards. (I would not try their "soup" for this reason). Also the pumps look very outdated. Gas prices are cheap but not any better than other nearby options. When I was there, a lot of kids were on the sidewalk where you pull in and out. They were going to cross Prospect to get to school. It seems odd that the city allowed a gas station to be built so close to an elementary school. Also the man working was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I went to pay he barely acknowledged my presence and seemed annoyed to be there.

So I went inside and told the cashier $40. on pump 8. We made the transaction and I went back to my car to pump the gas, but the nozzle wouldn't work. I went back in and told them that the pump was broken. In so many words they knew this pump wasn't working and told me that the transaction will return on my card in two to three days. Meanwhile I still have no gas, and I am out $40 dollars. This is UNEXCEPTABLE. Someone needs to teach them about Customer service. At the very least, they should have put an OUT OF ORDER sign on that pump. Go to this gas station at your own risk, but I will NEVER go to that gas station again. Signed Mad Lady Veteran!
