She'll upsell you on glasses, randomly charges you for things she didn't previously charge you for, does not warranty anything she sells and will try use that as a way to get you to come back in to make more $$$ of you. Not appreciating that my Dec 31 visit costed well over $1000 working with Dr. Tran on my eyeglasses and vision exam. I'm not a new to wearing eyeglasses and contacts but was my first visit to do my annual checkup with this office was expensive. My comprehensive eye exam was $190, diagnosing astigmatism (which i already told her) for $55 and $120 for contact lens fitting. $120 Contact lens fitting is required to get contact lens prescription. I was ultimately still fitted with the same brand and prescription as my last annual exam. I ended up choosing an Oakley prescription frame but with the add-on fees total more $735. Mind you this was more than 2x what an official Oakley store will charge you for the same configuration. What is frustrating about working with this office was the process from quotation of her exam fees was not upfront (I was told no cost via my insurance) and prescription eyeglasses with the options i requested. I grew up terrified of eye doctors. The sight of people even putting things in their eyes was usually enough to gross me out. Thankfully, my aunt Samantha was a Harvard doctor of ophthalmology, and she was the only one is ever allow anywhere near my eyes, until I met Dr. Sendzik. It had been years since I had an eye exam, but given my poor vision, it was clear that I needed glasses. A friend of mine recommended him to me, and I am honestly grateful that I took her up on it. Dr. Sendzik patiently sat with me and explained everything that I needed to know with regards to my vision problems, the machines he was using to test my vision, and the different methods that he was using to fit me with the best lenses possible. The thought of contact lenses scared me for the longest time, but he sat with me and took his time teaching me how to put them on, take them out, and even gave me some sample solution that I could use to clean them until I got some of my own. This family-owned business is administrated by the doctors and Lindsey, who is one of the sweetest people that I have ever met. Insurance companies tend to make things tricky and confusing, but she researched and explained everything in a way that allowed me to use my benefits to the best of their capacity. I highly recommend Dr. Sendzik and his practice. Thanks to him and his help, I can see the world again! Trees have texture and I don't have to worry about driving after sunset :P read more

I Wear glasses at night when I drive. Otherwise a little blurry but ysed to it. Recently my close up vision has gotten worse making everything blurry. Not able to thread a needle so to speak. I have glasses for far away, I decided to get some for the close up clarity. I went to 2020 eyecare and spoke to the optometrist who is a woman. She went through all the options available, get darker in the sun, no line see far on top see close on the bottom, with everything extra it cost over $400, and I have insurance, I was looking at frames and she picked a pair that she said looked good on me. When they arrived I understand you have to get used to them however they made the ground appear higher like walking through high snow and the sides would roll up and down as I turn my head. I use 2 monitors for work and looking at one the one to the side was impossible to see unless I turn my head and look straight throu the flasses. No peripheral visuon at all. Very uncomfortable. None of my other glasses i have had, have done this. My wife hated the style and I only got them because the optometrist said they would work good and they look nice. I took them back and they do not allow you to return the glasses. They will do 1 change on the glasses only. And you are stuck with that style. If rhey have to redo the lenses why cant I get a different frame. I sent them back and settled for seeing far away and they darken in the sun. Only reason I went here is because I went to a Costco vision and there was not one in the store so they actually gave me this place as a place all Costco members are sent to. I will be speaking with Costco about why they did not send me to another costco with vision. With insurance I should not spend more than $100 for glasses. Any other provider for glasses I spoke to all said if you did not l like the glasses you would get a refund, not here. know what they do and see if a sample to get an idea of what it will be. Horrible experience waste of money and time. When they are talking you into extras they should let you know if it does not work out no refunds. Don't go there. Oh and when you walk in the guy always says take a seat on the bench, Like he would talk to a child. I could sure use that money on something more important. I dont even wear them I wear my other pair. Not willing to give any rwfund on any extras. Bad all the way around. read more

I've had 2 RK surgeries on my eyes and did benefit with over 20 years of 20/20 vision. However 2 years ago I had to start wearing glasses again. :-( Had I known 20 years ago that the surgeries would cause so many issues for my future in glasses or contacts, I'm not sure I would have done it. But Dr. Sendzik is so wonderful and so patient. I am a nervous nelly and he is so patient. He is very informative and thorough! He makes sure you get the best service and vision possible. I have just visited dr.tran yesterday for full eye exam after 7 years !!!! Yes it had been a long time that i didn't checked my eyes !! ‍‍All i can say dr. Tran and her daughter mimi (who work as a front desk) are beyond friendly and kind like the name of their office , she really put time to exam your eyes . I didn't get my glasses yet to see how the new glasses would work for me but i think she is very professional . I wish all the doctors could be as friendly as her . I agree with the previous reviewer (Tri L.) that this place is too expensive and not being upfront about the price they quoted you on the phone. As the time I write this review, there are only two reviews for Ms. Tran. The rest of the reviews are for the optometrists before her. I took my daughter (a minor) to this optometrist, Ms. Tran, for new contact lenses and glasses. Ms. Tran was extremely bossy from the beginning and when I asked her questions regarding to a plastic 'cover' she put it in the front of an eye exam device for customers to lean on and other questions, she told me that she wanted to focus on my daughter only, so I stopped talking. After she was done with the exam, she turned to me and asked what was my questions, I told her I was wondering if the 'cover' was sanitized, and she replied that she replaced it for every customer. First of all, I never saw her put a new one on once we arrived there and besides if it was not replaced, it was already too late because my daughter had put her mouth there before Ms. Tran allowed me to ask questions. It was the same thing for my other questions!! On top of that, she also tried not to let us make decisions on what brands of contact lenses my daughter would prefer and didn't even talk to me about my daughter's prescriptions and discussed her eye problems when we were there. Basically she just wanted my money and leave!! That said, she didn't even give me a legible receipt and written prescriptions while we were there. When I told her that I never dealt with any optometries that didn't give prescriptions after paying. She said unless I wanted to wait an hour for her to enter the prescriptions. I have been to more than 30 optometrists and none of them would tell me that. In addition to that, she seemed to rush us on everything even for picking glasses. Ms. Tran didn't let my daughter pick out glasses, but tried to pick the glasses for her and told her what was better for her. So instead, I told my daughter to take her time, however, my daughter felt too intimidated, she just randomly picked one of the frames that Ms. Tran chose for her (from only 4 pairs). Furthermore, I asked Ms. Tran how long she was in the business and she said 20 something years and I asked her if she was new in this location, but instead of answering yes or no, she said it was run by another doctor prior to her taking over (From the reviews, I estimated that she probably was in this office no more than 3 years). From everything I observed, I really doubt her ability of being an optometrist and/or a honest business person. I'm probably going to waste the insurance and the up front cost I spent here and go to another experienced (or a decent) optometrist to get a right prescription for my daughter. My daughter already complained about her new 'trial' contact lenses makes her feel weird seeing things up close! She was never diagnosed 'farsighted' which rarely happened for minors or any of my relatives when they were under 18 years old. Very professional and attentive! I needed new prescription glasses and I was able to make an appointment for the same week. Dr.Tran is very knowledgeable and kind which makes the whole experience easy going. She explained and wakled me through my insurance options and what I'm covered for. Beware of this place!!!! From the extremely nice doctor to her daughter(I'm being sarcastic) who works in the front. Nothing good will come out of your visit here!!!! The doctor is EXTREMELY well trained in putting on a very well rehearsed act to all her clientele who come to receive services from her. She will wheel and deal you and than give you this speech that you need to buy all these products and receive all these services from her and if you don't your sight will be severely affected. Especially if you don't get them all done that day you are at her office. She is extremely sneaky and shady in how she runs her practice. I was a new client and got severely burned by her, physically and financially. My eye sight was severely affected by the treatment she gave me to the point I was in so much pain for days and lost my eye sight. When I came back to her for help she said she couldn't help me any further and that I should go somewhere else. It makes me sick to know that there are doctors out there that think it's ok to treat their patients this way! Protect your eyes and money and take your business to someone who will treat you the right way! I give her NO POSITIVE STARS but the Yelp site forces you to do so. read more
