After several calls, I was finally given an appointment for August 28 with Dr. Fadavi, whom I had seen before. I received multiple text messages confirming my appointment with Dr. Fadavi. When I arrived, however, I was told that another doctor would see me because Dr. Fadavi does not work there on Fridays! No one had contacted me to tell me about this change, despite the multiple confirmation texts specifically naming Dr. Fadavi. When I questioned the front desk about this, the staff member was extremely rude and dismissive and showed no concern about the situation. Considering that I was there because of a worsening problem with my eyesight, I found this treatment completely unacceptable. I left without being seen and will be finding another ophthalmologist to address my eye problem. After this experience, I will not return to this office. The lack of communication, difficulty obtaining timely care, and especially the unprofessional attitude of the office staff were extremely disappointing.

They proceeded to do a regular exam and dilated my eyes without confirming the appointment purpose or telling me it wouldn't include contacts. Then they scheduled yet another appointment -- supposedly to actually handle the contact lens portion. Fast forward to today: I drove to their Laguna Hills office, checked in, waited ~20 minutes, and then was told the doctor "doesn't have time to see me today." No call, no heads-up, nothing. I took time off work for each of these visits, yet after three appointments, I still do not have my contacts. To make it worse, when I called after leaving, the best they could offer was to reschedule me with the same doctor who canceled on me today -- again, no acknowledgment of all the time wasted or effort to accommodate. This office has major scheduling, communication, and customer care issues. After multiple missed notifications, incorrect appointments, and last-minute cancellations, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Best Doctors in South OC!! No joke! They saved me from…read moregoing blind!!! I had surgery at uCI cancer center with a plastic surgeon for a breathing problem unrelated to Tayani, where when they disinfected my face with a chemical' disinfectant and burned my corneas! Originally my eyes were taped shut by my Anesthesiologist for intubation. When the surgeon removed the tape off my eyes to prep me for surgery the chemicals seeped into my eyes and burned both corneas sat there my whole surgery for hours. Most painful, worst experience of my life. I've been going here to Tayani's for many many years. Had surgery by Dr Tayani himself too and had Dr Rebecca Ng as my eye Dr for many years here also she was just off this day when I rushed in screaming for help! When I had this horrible experience and was treated horribly without even rinsing my eyes while I screamed at the top of my lungs at Mission Providence Hospital and even my paramedic that delivered me to the ambulance begged them to rinse my eyes it went no where at all. Avoid that place like the plague! Tayani staff , initially Dr. Lanier and the other Drs on staff that day took me in as a walk in the same day of surgery. Then all four Dr's went into the treatment room I was in and each took turns evaluating the damage to my eyes and each made an assessment of the chemical burns. They all agreed to put stem cell plasma on one eye that was worse and a contact lense on the other to help them heal. I was still in severe pain they send me to UCI hospital in Orange where they have optometrist but as usual no one even looked at my eyes there after hours screaming I got morphine and sent home. They were more concerned about my mental health and missed the mark. Never even looked at my eyes or saw the eye Dr! I went back to the lovely Drs here at Tayani and they send me to UCi research center where they had an eye surgeon that put a very thick plasma stem cell ring over the ripped cornea and helped me heal entirely. If I would have not gone here ti Tayani's, the 2 ERs from two hospitals would have left me blind and screaming in pain for weeks I'm sure. I owe Tayani institute Drs for saving me from going blind and unimaginable pain. Where no hospital ER could help these guys all figured out what was wrong and got me to the right place even walked me and my parents with Alzheimer's to the car as I was completely blind literally. Scariest moment of my entire 49'years alive. This is the place to go! They are passionate, caring, kind, professionals with amazing bedside manner and I couldn't have picked a better place to go. Yet, Kersten Diana, MD insisted she begin Cataract Surgery with my right eye. I was reassured,"THIS IS TO PROTECT YOUR FUTURE VISION." I went along with Kersten Diana, MD's recommendation. (Kersten Diana, MD, Ophthalmologist @ Harvard Eye Associates in Laguna Hills, CA). I found out after the Cataract Surgery of my right eye that it was absolutely UNNECESSARY. MOST IMPORTANTLY, KERSTEN DIANA, MD'S CATARACT SURGERY TO MY RIGHT EYE MADE ME LEGALLY BLIND (20/200) IN MY RIGHT EYE. MAKING ME FOREVER LEGALLY BLIND. Imagine, KERSTEN DIANA, MD had planned next to perform Cataract Surgery to my left eye. Also, after this unnecessary life altering Cataract Surgery given by KERSTEN DIANA, MD I had an appointment to see KERSTEN DIANA, MD at her office where she had a huge desk. I sat across from her with my Husband. By then the after surgery cotton eye patch was off and I had just recently seen a highly respected Ophthalmologist who had my right eyesight tested. It had become 20/60 and steadily worsened. As I sat across from KERSTEN DIANA, MD in her office at her huge desk I said to her, "I had an Optometrist test my eyesight just after I followed your directions in caring for my right eye after your Cataract Surgery to my right eye. My right eye vision was 20/30 just before your surgery, it is now 20/60 and worsening. KERSTEN DIANA, MD looked at me but said nothing. She squeezed both her hands into fists and pounced each one twice on her desk as she raised her body from her huge desk. She, KERSTEN DIANA, MD then STOMPED OUT OF HER OFFICE. She never made any effort to contact me. I never saw her again. P.S. The severe damage resulting from the unnecessary cataract surgery to my right eye became 20/200 one month or so after the one year deadline to file a Malpractice Lawsuit.
