So frustrating! My doctor was great, but $430 for a contact fitting is just ridiculous. I asked for the price before my appointment and was told $215 by the receptionist. I like my doctor, so I went ahead with it, even though Costco charges around $115. I paid in full at the time since I don't have insurance, but a few weeks later I got a bill for another $215. I'm told the fitting is extra! Well, that's interesting because they didn't have my patient file from the previous office and my wife had to text me a picture of my contact settings. Guess what the settings are on the new script. Maybe I should pay my wife! Avoid this place--they'll overcharge you! Total scam! read more

I was in here for a flow up on 3/25/26 and this hands down the best eye care I've ever had. My vision is so poor and Dr. Guck is the best optometrist I've ever had and I've had so many since childhood. His assistant or aide Marino was so wonderful as well. He was informative, knowledgeable and all around a nice guy with great kindness towards patients. I highly recommend Dr. Guck and if you're lucky enough to have Marino you will be very pleased. I had a problem with my new glasses--they caused blurry vision and dizziness. I believe patients experiencing issues with a new prescription should be treated as a priority. I was only offered one appointment for the following week, and unfortunately I couldn't make that time. Instead of offering another appointment soon after, I was told I would have to wait an entire month to see the doctor again. That is simply not reasonable when someone is having problems with their new glasses. I expected much better patient care and flexibility. read more

Wow!!!!!! 489.00 for an eye exam and "contact fitting". The doctor was great, staff was nice but when I went to Costco to purchase the contacts, they offer the same service for 150.00. I am disfigured. I went in for an upper blephoroplasty which due to my restriction in vision from hooded eyelids my insurance company was going to pay for. When I went to the appointment I was recommended to have a lower blephoroplasty, CO2 facial and I could even do a brow lift "since insurance was paying for the anesthesia". I was, at the time, 50. I'd taken very good care of my skin and had gotten lasers often. I didn't think i need a lower bleph, brow lift but I was interested in the CO2 facial. I had my concerns though and multiple times I spoke with the physician and nursing staff before the procedure. It is now 6 months after the Procedure which I paid over $10,000 out of pocket directly to them. I now have a strabismus- my eye literally points in the wrong direction. I now have to wear glasses all the time (rather than just driving at night) to correct for the double vision which I now have in my right eye. the strabismus "specialist" which I was sent to said "well the good news is you already wear glasses". Then they wanted to charge me AGAIN to see their optometrist to give me the prescription!!! Every single one of my family pics I'm trying to figure out in what lighting and in what direction the camera can be so that I don't look like I'm insane. I have trouble looking in the mirror. I'm constantly dizzy when not wearing glasses. I get headaches. I get dizzy driving which is so scary as my vision doesn't shift back. I shouldn't have gotten the lower bleph and CO2 facial. I should have listened to my instincts but vanity got the better of me. I'm writing this so that other people don't have to go the rest of their lives with eye disfigurement and sight loss. Let my loss let other people gain, or retain, their sense of self and dignity. read more

Dr Karageozian, the surgeon who preformed the procedure, in my opinion is the best in the business. My case was complicated with past RK sight correction which he navigated through with great precision. Following my surgery Dr Guck took me on to fine tune my vision. I got scheduled for an appointment and when I showed up on the day of the appointment, they told me that it was rescheduled to another day. I was not informed that they changed it. I canceled all my other appointments for this and they are telling me that they cannot see me even though it was their scheuling that messed up. This is very unprofessional and their lack of customer service is completely unacceptable. I will ask for a referral to see another Ophthalmologist. read more

Check with your insurance first to see what covered. Apparently getting a new contact prescription is barely covered or they want to charge me $215 for what Target will charge me $60 for. Front office will tell you things are covered and they're not. I've gone in twice. They're trying to charge me a special fee because I have bifocal contacts which nobody else does anywhere else. Call Target and you'll get in the next day or if you try to use this office you'll have to wait a month and they don't cover anything. In the middle of my first exam last month they tried to sell me Facial cosmetic Botox fillers when I'm there for my contacts. Horrible experience go somewhere else do yourself a favor and save money! ! i'm responding to a message that was left after my review. Yes I was actually told about facial fillers and Botox or things that they do absolutely 100% during my initial eye exam. On top of they have a special machine that can check the health of your eyes, but of course they don't give that you have to pay separately to that diagnosis. So basically your eyes aren't falling out of your head and you basically need just glasses. You're fine. Anything above that you are charged guaranteed 1,000,000% this is a joke. This business is absolutely a joke if they have a spa somewhere I have no idea, but that was told to me during my initial exam. read more

Front desk staff sits on their phone, which looks unprofessional. Office is incredibly loud due to the open large waiting room. If you are on time for your appointment, you're waiting a minimum of 20-30 minutes to get called. Why do we make appointments to begin with if we wait in the lobby for half an hour, if not longer. I was experiencing an emergency over a weekend and Tayani Institute was able to find a way to see me as a new patient without a prior appointment on a Saturday- that was HUGE! Every single staff member was kind, professional, and welcoming. They treated my condition with urgency and responded promptly to follow up calls and emails. I have worked as a medical receptionist/ front desk/ patient services for 23 years and the first impression I received from their office is so unprofessional and no empathy. My daughter called and trying to get an appointment urgently and there was an appointment available right away but referral was being updated to their office since they have a sooner appointment and my daughter couldn't explain to the receptionist, so I ended up talking to them since I can explain it better and the receptionist was already giving me unemotional response saying " did your daughter already told you what I said ?!" from that response I can already tell whatever she said goes and she has no time to listen to my statement. Receptionists/Front desk are the first contact of patients, you're the first face they see for patient care when they're sick or anxious about health issues at least show some compassion and empathy. I hope the doctors could make up for the lack of care. read more

The front desk was exceptionally helpful with quickly inputting my insurance information. The wonderful young lady who initially examined my eye sight was very polite and friendly. Dr. Moin was very patient and took her time to thoroughly process how my eyes responded to the Snellen chart before coming to conclusions on my recommended prescription. As if this couldn't get worse, I just got a notice two years later that they sent me to collections even though I gave them my Care Credit card at time of service and they are claiming that they didn't have the CVV number therefore two years later, they will send me to collections and I called back to pay the bill through my Care Credit card again and they told me they can't accept my credit card because there's a $600 minimum. So I have to " work something out with collections". Even though I am just now being notified of this for the first time. It's a never ending nightmare with Tanyani. Avoid it at all costs. read more

Also, it seems that there is no integrity in this place and they probably should be audited and checked by the governmental authorities. First, Ann Tran is great. My wife and I have been patients of hers for many years and have always been pleased with her excellent work. However, the front office staff is incompetent. I have had the same insurance coverage for many years with no problem. The day before my last appointment someone from the staff left a cryptic message on our phone that our insurance was "inactive". I called the insurance company verified that it indeed was active, then called Tayani to have them also call the insurance to verify the coverage. They called me back saying they had talked to the insurance company and the account was indeed active. I asked the person who had called to make sure this was communicated to others in the office who needed to know. When I arrived for my appointment, they once again said my coverage was inactive. I told them that I had straightened this out earlier in the day and asked them to double check. I asked them to call the company again to verify coverage, but they refused. Their (non)solution was that I pay everything in full, they would give me an itemized receipt, and I could take it up with the insurance company. Waited over 2 hours to see Dr. Tayani. I have been in to see him on several occasions about the same eye concern, and it has never been solved. Finally got an approved referral to see a different doctor at another practice, so I am done with this office. I would strongly advise you to go somewhere else!
