Consisting of, the physical & occupational aspects of recovery. But also, acute neuropathy, & a bunch stuff I really don't remember. I don't know that that is something to be proud of or ashamed of, but it is what it is. I've mostly been going for shoulder pain, but also for a calf injury... I've been seeing Kristina Lott as my Physical Therapist and I highly recommend her. Nate Snell is also fabulous, but Kristina's schedule jives well with my need to come in early mornings. The front office and support crew are all friendly -- even when I go before 7am, which is impressive. Shout out to Kat, who keeps me in check with the exercises that Kristina prescribes. I'm hoping to graduate from this bout of visits in the near future, but if and when I need to return for PT, Endurance Rehab will always be my first choice of places to go. Since my last review, and when recovering from a calf injury, I was able to utilize the onsite G-Trainer anti-gravity treadmill.  It was super cool and definitely aided in my recovery. I could not be more thankful to Spooner Scotsdale and its employees. It's a long story, but something I feel worth telling incase any one else has the same hesitance or is scared. I'm a young man, and I'm not very open to physical therapy with the preconceived notion that it's only for old people, and isn't for debilitating issues like I have, more for stretching and general pain. I was extremely self conscious about coming in, and I am not comfortable with people touching me at all. I also delayed coming in for far too long, which I regret, because it was honestly, I feel, the only thing that can and did help me. I herniated a disk, and couldn't move after lifting something far too heavy. I couldn't move, I couldn't lay down, I couldn't sit or do anything without complete agony in my lower back and leg. I was unable to put on my socks, or do any normal daily tasks. This continued for about 3 days not getting better until my partner forced me to go to Spooner Scotsdale. I was very, very scared that they might tell me it's unfixable, because at the time, I didn't know what the issue was. The drive up was incredibly painful, but so worth it. I came in for an initial evaluation with Geoff, and cried pretty much the second he started talking because the pain was just unbearable, and also worried that this is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life, but Geoff was incredibly reassuring. He closed the curtain to give me some privacy, and calmed me down. He evaluated me, and after some movements and assessing, he explained what's happened. He had some spine models he pulled out to show me what's happened and helped me visualize the issue, and he kept talking to me until I fully understood what was wrong and how it happened. That was incredibly valuable to me, since up until this point, I didn't know anything except I couldn't walk or do anything really. He then helped me do some stretches and exercises, which before his explanation seemed incredibly counterintuitive to me since it just aggravated the issue more, but he explained it in such a way that I could see how it would help and was incredibly appreciative for showing me. I then explained that my schedule is very fluctuating due to work, and it would be very difficult to schedule additional follow ups, which was another big fear for me since I always thought you needed to come in consistently for a month for physical therapy, but he was extremely accommodating and showed me some home exercises and stretches to do, and printed out a sheet to take with me incase I forgot. I am genuinely impressed, that only after an hour with him, that the pain had been relived that much to the point I was able to get a ride home without much issue. Which is saying something, because before my only solution was to take enough ibuprofen to make a pharmacist queasy, which didn't even help the issue, just lessens the symptoms temporarily. I cannot put into words how phenomenal he, and every single person in that clinic was, at every step of the way. I am genuinely thankful to everyone in that clinic, and I will be every single time in the future I'm able to bend over without gritting my teeth. I will be recommending Spooner to all of my coworkers and friends. Thank you:)

Now I'm doing rehab for my knee arthroscopy. Their facility is beautiful and gentle, well-trained dogs roam around the staff and patients. They have a manual therapy philosophy, which means that their skilled physical therapists work the muscles and other tissue with their bodies before you are asked to do your strengthening and rehab exercises. Their therapists are exceptionally well trained and even their techs know exactly what needs to be done, from prep to positioning. I highly recommend T.O.P.S. Physical Therapy!

I…read morewas very happy with my first visit, started with a thorough consult and some dedicated time with one of the PTs there. Then I continued on to my exercises with a student who was very helpful. My second appt a week later I was with a different PT who spent less than 5 min on me, no cupping or additional therapy. Then I was on my own to do my exercises which I hardly remembered so I had to approach one of the students for help. I found this odd because I've been to physical therapy before and had a more hands on experience from the staff. Repeat all of this on my third visit. Had another different PT who spent more time with me than the second one but once that care was over I was on my own. Then on my fourth visit I had yet another different PT, even though my appts were at the same date/time each week. I did some looking on Reddit and folks in the PT community refer to places like these as "mills" which it totally felt like. The nail in the coffin for me was getting charged for a needling service (recommended by one of the physical therapists there) even though at no point was I informed that it was an additional cost. Bummed out because the location was convenient and staff was kind, I just think the way the place is run could be more patient-focused.

The office staff and assistants are always friendly and helpful. What I really appreciate this time is that Dr. Kuhn referred me to a spine specialist, since we are not making great progress with my constant lower backpain.
