If you have any occasion coming up do NOT book an appointment with Danielle Bradshaw. She is extremely unprofessional and thinks the world revolves around her. 1st time I made an appointment with her before vacation she cancelled at the last minute because her mother was coming to visit. She later solicited my business via text. I gave her a 2nd chance and booked an appointment. I told her that I was part of a wedding party and that the appointment could NOT be changed once made. She asked for the money upfront and she promised the date was set in stone. She later texts me and asks to change the appointment because she was going on vacation. I was very unhappy and reminded her of our agreement. She gave me her word that she would do it the following day and said she would never do anything to ruin someone's wedding. I texted her the day she told me she was returning to confirm the time and address since the appt. was for the AM. I sent her 4-5 texts. The next day she refunded my money and refused to do my hair as promised leaving my high and dry. As someone else stated she makes excuse after excuse and has no consideration for clients. Her word means absolutely nothing and she's utterly unreliable! She uses her family as an excuse every time for her unprofessionalism! I've been going to Danielle Bradshaw for the past three years for cuts and highlights and I've been incredibly satisfied each and every time! When I first moved to the Charlotte area from out of state, I spent the first year trying out different stylists and salons with no success - that is until I finally started going to Danielle. Danielle does a fabulous job on my cuts and highlights and I receive compliments on my hair quite often! She's flexible with her schedule, services are completed in a timely manner, and her prices are extremely fair. As far as Beyond Measure, I'm more than satisfied with my experiences at the salon! The owner, Gail, has created such a friendly, inviting, upbeat salon and I always feel right at home when I'm there. Plus, the salon is attached to an adorable boutique so you can shop and get your hair done at the same time. What's not to love?! Lastly, I wouldn't normally comment on someone else's review, however I feel inclined to say something because I was there during the incident with Lindsey. The events I witnessed versus what she described in her review do not align at all. I observed Gail and Danielle calmly speaking with Lindsey, then Gail offered the solution of redoing her hair for free the next day. I never witnessed Gail or Danielle raising their voices or communicating in such a way that would raise red flags to other nearby customers (like myself). Linda Kaufman is amazing! She's given me two perms and a color, and they've all turned out great. She knows I'm growing my hair out and never cuts too much. Today she took me from medium brown to copper. The first time it wasn't quite right, but she immediately recolored it. The second time was perfect! She didn't charge extra to correct it even though it took quite a bit of her time. For me, she is a stylist beyond measure! I will definitely return. Highly recommend. read more

Gail highlighted my hair and put hair extensions in today. She did such an amazing job. It takes quite a long time to do it. She's so friendly to talk with as she's working. She did a nice job matching my natural hair to the extensions. After putting them all in she gave me a full haircut and curled my hair. The other employees were also very friendly. I have been getting my hair did and going to salons almost all my life. I have to say hands down this was my absolute worst salon experience EVER, Nightmares included, girls ya know what I mean. I have to agree with Alex R's past review when she said, " funny their slogan is to go over and beyond because they couldn't have tried less." Alex, I hear ya chick and for sure very much feel your pain. But for the ones out there that don't need a support group and now a wig, there's still time for you. You can save your hair and also a ton of money by just staying away from this place. However, if you do decide to enter this salon of hell, make sure while in that chair you agree with everything that is said like a damn 50's housewife. Do not voice opinions on your hair, God forbid ask anything about products being used. Oh, and it's normal protocol to get yelled at, like a child. But hey, some people like these things. My personal experience was a color gone wrong, they did acknowledge the color was wrong, I mean they had eyes. They being, owner Gail and stylist Danielle Bradshaw. Danielle started yelling at me like a mental patient off anger management meds, she just kept looking up at the ceiling saying " 5 times." literally all I wanted was it to be fixed. Gail did end up fixing it since Danielle was just crazy. But she wanted her money. she didn't care if it came out 2 different colors. She wanted her money, She just kept yelling it. I just wanted to pay Gail's fees, not Danielle's as well, what sense did that make. $264.00 Gail made me pay it to, I tried not to but she literally called the cops and when they got there they told me to pay or get arrested. Gail swiped my card twice and took almost $600!!!!! For an all over color, no hair cut, no style. So yeah, I would stay far far away from this salon. read more

To be honest, and with great sadness, this was the worst salon experience I ever had (and I love to experience different salon and spas). I am new to town and really thought I did my research well in finding a great, friendly, experienced, skilled salon and stylist; but opps I was so wrong. I had actually saw a Groupon for this location with Nicole Acker as the stylist; and after researching, thought it was a great place and a great deal. The Groupon was for a "Shampoo, Conditioning Treatment, Cut, and Style". After weeks of trying to get a hold of her to schedule an appointment (purchased on June 9th called every week to find a time and finally had one set on July 16th). I arrived at 2:55pm since I had it down my appointment was at 3:00pm. When I walked in I was rudely greeted "Can we help you" (no friendly "Welcome", or "Hi, how are you" or smile); then, Nicole came up and said appointment was at 3:30pm not 3:00pm. I apologized for the confusion on my end and said no problem I could wait as I had some emails and things I could do while waiting those 30 minutes (truly no big deal). However, she had no one else there when I arrived and had no one else come in before my time. Instead she went to smoke outside and when she came back in around 3:15 she called me back and we started the process (she didn't even wash her hands from smoking and the whole time I smelt cigarette fingers in my hair, ew). So as I sit down she asks what I want done and I state I would like a very minimal trim and just to have my existing layers touched up. She proceeds to tell me it's best to do my trim with dry hair and not to wash it first .... (Never have I ever had my hair cut while it is dry and I had told her my hair was 'dirty' from not washing it myself since it was included in the package I purchased, but she didn't care and said it would help take just the minimal off. I nervously said okay, since she is suppose to be the professional, and hoped for it to turn out great. . . . obviously not). So here she is snipping away at my hair that is not fresh and therefore not laying evenly at that moment and ends up taking off about 3-3.5 inches (YIKES)! I said TRIM :( !!!! Not to mention, the layers were poorly snipped as well leaving my hair choppy looking. Unfortunately, I have a photo shoot coming up and now my hair is too short for some of the ways I planned to wear it which made me even more upset. I have always had long hair down to the middle of my back and now its barely passed my shoulders. Not to be over dramatic, because truly hair does grow back, but, it looks terrible and even worse in a ponytail (which I rock that style often). But, back to the actual experience in the salon. . . I didn't even get a shampoo or conditioning treatment when she was done with the cut. She did ask if I wanted a straightening style but I was too upset to even sit there and let her do that, plus I now had to go wash my hair myself so it would be pointless to style. Also, if you recall I sat down with her at approx 3:15 and I was out of there by 3:30. WHOW world's quickest 'luxury' salon experienced I have ever encountered. I am truly a very polite and nice person who tries at all costs to keep peace and a friendly face so I couldn't speak up and say something because I would feel bad, but looking back I really should have. I mean I did pay for a service I didn't receive; but who wants to upset someone messing with your hair, especially not after it's already not going well! Not that saying something would have changed my cut and neither will this post, but I just hate that it happened. I am so particular about my hair and take pride in it, but now that is gone, at least for a while. Bad haircuts are so aggravating and I wish I could just rewind the experience, but now I just need to suck it up and patiently wait for it to grow. I truly contemplated even writing this because I know it doesn't make it better or change anything (and again I don't like the be the bear of bad news) but if anyone is like me they do research before trying some place new and obviously the research I read wasn't accurate so I want to prevent this from happening to someone else and wish them luck. read more

I had gone to an upscale salon in Charlotte and paid a fortune to get my hair cut - it was a complete disaster!!! So I started looking for a salon closer to home and ended up here.. it was THE. BEST. HAIRCUT. EVER. But seriously! I will never go anywhere else! The salon was very clean and even has a little boutique in it, which had great stuff! My stylist was Diana Van Den Heuvel, she was absolutely incredible! And she even gave me the best style after finishing the cut - I have never been happy with a haircut from day one, until I went to Diana!! LOVE HER!! read more

It's funny that their slogan is "we go above and beyond" because they couldn't have tried less. This was the worst experience I've had at a salon! The stylist, Nicole Acker, reached out to ME to offer an appointment that became available last Saturday at 1:45. I walk in at 1:45 and no one greets me or even looks up. I stand at the desk for 5 minutes. Nothing. I sit down so I may be visible to someone else who actually cares. Nothing. I sat for 25 minutes without being acknowledged while Nicole continued cutting hair. I finally got up to use the restroom and said "Hi Nicole, I just wanted to let you know I was here." She gave me a look as if I was the one being rude and said ok. I sat for 10 more minutes with no one giving me any update. I finally walked out and she never even bothered to contact me to see why. It would have made a world of difference if someone would have at least said hello or let me know Nicole was running behind. They were extremely unprofessional and obviously don't need my business, so I hope you don't give them yours either. read more
