She asked for the money upfront and she promised the date was set in stone. She later texts me and asks to change the appointment because she was going on vacation. I was very unhappy and reminded her of our agreement. She gave me her word that she would do it the following day and said she would never do anything to ruin someone's wedding. Danielle does a fabulous job on my cuts and highlights and I receive compliments on my hair quite often! She's flexible with her schedule, services are completed in a timely manner, and her prices are extremely fair. As far as Beyond Measure, I'm more than satisfied with my experiences at the salon! The owner, Gail, has created such a friendly, inviting, upbeat salon and I always feel right at home when I'm there. Plus, the salon is attached to an adorable boutique so you can shop and get your hair done at the same time. What's not to love?! Lastly, I wouldn't normally comment on someone else's review, however I feel inclined to say something because I was there during the incident with Lindsey. The events I witnessed versus what she described in her review do not align at all. I observed Gail and Danielle calmly speaking with Lindsey, then Gail offered the solution of redoing her hair for free the next day. I never witnessed Gail or Danielle raising their voices or communicating in such a way that would raise red flags to other nearby customers (like myself). In my opinion, I felt that both Danielle and Gail handled the situation in a very composed, professional, and positive manner.

My view haven't change on how I feel about Mariana as a stylist.. She's on point with my haircuts. Never disappoint. She been cutting my hair for 3 years now. I'm alway happy after every visits. I know she have went to NYC for razor cutting class. Few more cutting classes at Loreal Academy. She's now a Loreal expert and that's the products they used at Loo Loo's Today she shaved my side again.. Also got the balayage highlights again. I'm not really sure what that is but have 10 weeks of not getting it done. People still like my highlights. All thinks I just got it done. Liz whose the other half of Loo Loo's is a certified Loreal Educator and took the same classes as Mariana. These ladies are good at what they do. They take pride in their works and willing to educate themselves to bring clients the best new techniques and the current trends. Caprice gave me exactly what I asked for and checked in multiple times to ensure I liked where it was going. She also created a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. I was looking for a new hair stylist as I had become complacent with mine but was very tired of not…read moregetting what I was asking for. I feel like it is always hard to look for a new stylist because it can be hard to know where to start. Sometimes referrals from friends are great, but because the Charlotte area is large, the last thing I want is a commute for getting my hair done, that process always takes enough time! I went back to yelp again, and found Southern Roots. While they only had a few reviews, they were all great. I called in and Tiffany actually answered, but had to book me with Donna because of the day I was requesting. She was very kind in trying to set this up for me. When I went to Donna the first time, I asked for my usual cut, a little off the bottom and plenty off the layers, as I love to see my layers. I also asked for my hair color to pop. Unfortunately this is where things went wrong. Everyone can interpret their definitions differently, and my thought of pop was different than Donna's. That is my fault for not going further into likes/dislikes. My hair is naturally brown and she added in blonde highlights that were way too bright and blonde for me. I hated how I looked and hated the contrast. While I did receive compliments on my new look, I did not like the shade of blonde in my hair. However, I loved the cut. I finally received a cut that I had been asking for! As I stated before, I love to see my layers, so I always ask for much shorter layers, and for some reason, other hair stylists only seem to go about an inch above my longer length even though I always ask for much more. Since I got the cut and realized my communication was poor on my likes/dislikes and what I wanted out of color, I decided to go back. At the second appointment, I told Donna I hated the color from the first visit. She was very kind in taking my hatred and even suggested I should have come back, but I really just wanted to try to get used to it, maybe I would eventually like it. I found pictures off the internet of colors that I liked and had them saved for this second visit. I showed Donna a couple, and she picked right up on the colors! She added in some red to my brown while darkening up the blonde from the last visit. My color was spot on! And to me, adding in the red and darker blonde, was my pop. It looked great, along with the cut! I just went back this weekend for a third visit. I confirmed my love for the looks from the second visit and we updated the red and brown this time. After we finished with the cut/color, I pointed out what I loved so that she could make notes on what to do and how to update the different colors for next time. My hair is naturally curly, but I probably style my hair curly half the week and half the week I style it straight. I love that Donna is willing to take the time to style it straight so that I can see the layers and see the cut, that way I can ask for a little bit more if needed. I am happy to say and excited to say, I have found my new stylist! I think it is great someone is willing to listen to my critiques and wants me to be happy. While I can't say anything about Tiffany here, I can say Donna is great and I would recommend her easily!

After this Covid-19 thing, I went to Tiffany for the first and last time. I left cash and a tip on a hair color job that nearly three long weeks later is so much darker than I am comfortable with that I still can't believe what I see in the mirror. She missed the mark on me. I'm not playful with my hair color... I wasn't trying to play with it. I loved it - even in its faded, sad post crisis condition it was "my" color. What I have now is a deep dark strange head that even my young children still can't figure out. My eye brow pencil is too light for my new Tiffany given color. Be warned and fore-armed about paying cash for such services. Tiffany apologetically and frankly unapologetic business manner won't do anything for me to adjust or fix this color "because of my hair history." So now my budget is spent and there isn't anything that can be done... I still look like "crisis hell". ....I'm just sad, mad, and feel entirely unlike myself - - mismatched to this dark mop -- just ugly.
