Our Goddaughter had her birthday party here and I must say all the kiddos, including my rambunctious little one, had a blast! We pulled up and I loved that there was plenty of signage to direct those who were attending the shindig where to park and where to enter the barn. When we arrived the ladies were so sweet and I just loved how they worked together to make sure that everyone in attendance was enjoying themselves. There's a huge area of land where the kids are able to ride ponies and see them up close and personal. They had a carousel from the '70s, a little saddle that the kids could ride as though they were riding a bull, and they were able to go into the barn to see more of the ponies...who were sooo cute but why wouldn't they be. There are several picnic tables where you can sit, eat, and watch the littles enjoy their horseback ride. There a port-a-potties if needed and I liked that there was sanitizer all around and a sink near the barn where the littles were painting horseshoes. The kiddos also did a scavenger hunt and some fun relay races which they loved. This was a super cute place with some wonderful people! read more

We had an amazing time at Beyond the Barn. The owner was very friendly and took time to answer all my questions and even have personal stories. She made us feel like more than just customers. We did the private party (just the people in our house. 4 of us) which included pony rides, pictures, a cake, and a craft. She has 3 different ponies but only one is the star. Scooter is the magical unicorn and my daughter enjoyed riding him. She's already asking to go back. If you are looking for something different to do I would give it a shot. I'm. It sure how group events would go but we would do it again. read more

My wife had a horrible experience here, and like the other review states, the place looks nothing like the pictures online. She told my twins that since she had a party yesterday there was barely any paint for the art and that they only had two minutes to paint. Then proceeded to give them barely 5 minutes on the pony/unicorn for 50 dollars each. At the end she removed the unicorn horn and all of its things in front of them, which was a total dream killer for two 5 year olds. So overall we spent over a hundred dollars for 15 minutes of these people rushing us through 3 laps total between the two of them around the ring. And now our 5 year old twin daughters no longer believe in unicorns. Thanks. read more

We had our daughters 5th birthday today at Beyond The Barn and what an AWESOME day it was! Joanne and staff took care of everything for us, so we were able to enjoy it as well. There were individual pony rides on Scooter the adorable miniature horse, horseshoe painting in the barn with Bear (another adorable mini), games in the yard, a cute carousel the girls enjoyed riding, yummy cake and drinks in the Pavillion and pictures on the Bull! We opted to bring food and snacks since our party was right at lunchtime. Farm was tranquil and spacious, staff was attentive and eager to please. This was the perfect place for us to celebrate! We had a small party and covid protocols were followed. It was really easy and fun and I would HIGHLY recommend for any type of outdoor gathering (esp during this time). Owner is open to new ideas (ie--girls night out around fire pit--etc). If you can think about it, Joanne can make it happen! read more

Joanne is incredibly accommodating and patient with the children. 3 yr old Landon was so excited to pet the pony and yet very fearful of riding it. She eased him comfortably into the saddle and by the end of the ride, he was beaming with pride of his new pony-riding skill. She's had years of experience as a special ed teacher and can handle anything. Her helpers are gentle with both the horses and the kids as well. She provides a multitude of great experiences for her guests - mining for gems which one can make into a necklace, painting horse shoes which make nice frames, a carousel ride and stick horses to jump the steeples. We just had my daughter's 6th birthday party here and it was wonderful. The kids all rode ponies, mined gems, painted horse shoes, played a couple yard games and had time to just run around and play. My daughter got to ride both ponies, and the other kids each got one turn. But they were welcome to pet the ponies as much as they wanted during the other phases of the party. Joanne was accommodating and attentive the whole time and had 3 awesome young ladies helping with the various activities. All the parents commented on what a cute idea this was for a party, and the kids had fun. So big mom points today . read more

I booked a time slot and yes my fault, we were not able to make the appointment, but not only did they not reschedule me, they did not refund me. Im fine paying a cancellation fee, but we did not get services for which we payed for. Very disappointed and was looking forward to my daughters bday party and many more rides there, but I wont b doing business w them anymore if thats how they treat a first time customer. get ur pony rides right up the street on mullinax:)! read more

I attended my niece's birthday party at Beyond the Barn this afternoon. The property is nice and tranquil and the horses and ponies are extremely friendly. The kids had an amazing time petting, riding and feeding the animals. They painted horse shoes, played games and rode a train around the property. Joana had the party space nicely decorated and was a very accommodating host. She even provided a photographer to capture all the sweet memories. read more

When I initially spoke to Joanne she seemed pleasant and I thought it was amazing that she was doing something out of the goodness of her heart for children and parents who have been sheltering in place because of the corona virus. My original appointment was postponed per her suggestion due to the weather. She specifically said she would honor her original terms when I rescheduled. I remember her mentioning that the donations/tips she received hadn't outweighed the cost of supplies (horse shoes, paint, etc.) so I planned to provide her with a generous donation to show my appreciation for her selfless service to the community. However, when I rescheduled she added a fee for the visit. I asked if she was no longer honoring her initial terms and she blatantly responded "correct." I then asked her to cancel my appointment. She responded "my pleasure!" Though I was prepared to give her much more than the fee she abruptly imposed I found her business practices to be unprincipled and unprofessional. read more

If you go in their website DO NOT be fooled by the photos. I held my daughters birthday party here and it was. It was nothing like that the website shows. We had the $750 diamond package and didn't receive everything promised. The owner who sticks around for the whole time was rude to the kids at my party especially when a little girl asked to ride again. He answer to say no was so nasty I was embarrassed!!!! I get it kids can only ride once but she could have chosen a better way to say no. She is just rude and all about collecting her money and that's about it. Yes my daughter had a good time but all the adults mentioned to me what a bad attitude the owner had! Disappointing. I do not recommend this place look elsewhere read more

This was a first and pleasant experience for my daughter at age 2 in riding a pony named Scooter. She got to paint a horse shoe, get an up personal encounter with a cat, tour of the barn, tasty lemonade, and feed the horses apple and carrots. She didn't want to get off Scooter. read more
